honestly, they've blessed us a lot this comeback

and there's another thing, yes, Youngjae seems more touchy and more open about their relationship and his affection for his favorite hyung, but wouldn't you say that he's not the only one who got bolder? doesn't Jaebum also seem....way more comfortable with everything? and more eager too

 

they're always whispering something to each other and exchanging knowing glances and little touches

 

Jaebum seems so much more eager to initiate skinship, I think we're over the drought finally and they're back to their old ways before things between them became slightly awkward

I've noticed that Jaebum seems more comfortable with it as well! I wonder what caused them to be so awkward in the first place. I wonder what caused them to get all awkward in the first place. 

 

Also I feel like there could literally be a whole thread of Youngjae and Jaebum getting jealous over the other one having skinship with someone else 

I have a theory to this... and of course this is all what I think. I'm not forcing anything on anyone 

 

I think originally they were just close friends back in 2014, but something happened around the end of that time that made it awkward. Maybe one of them confessed, maybe a kiss, maybe something more (you know..) happened during their rooming experience. I mean, they’re young males sleeping in the same bed together. You don’t think mornings were awkward and confusing for these two?  

 

My theory is that after whatever happened, Youngjae and Jaebum felt incredibly ashamed about it, because before that they would have considered themselves straight males, and now suddenly they’re not 100% straight anymore. The story could go two ways: JB felt ashamed and pushed Youngjae away, or Youngjae acted like it was nothing and brushed Jaebum off.

 

So around this time, I think one of them might’ve started dating a girl, and that pissed off the other boy. To get back at him the other boy also dated girls. I’m sure that they got into A LOT of petty arguments just because of the underlying tension. Thus causing the great roommate change of 2015(?) and the great 2jae drought. During that time they would try to get as far away as possible from one another to the point of just not interacting. 

 

Skip past a year or so into 2016-2017, and this is when Jaebum breaks up with his girlfriend (vol.1 on his Soundcloud details his whole relationship) and slowly starts to acknowledge that he really does like Youngjae more than a brother/friend. So slowly, they start to mend their relationship with one another. Jaebum was probably the first to initiate physical contact since he’s the reserved one between the two so youngjae needed a

 first before he could continue where they left off. I think that Sign details how Youngjae felt during the time they were distant towards one another. I mean, the lyrics starts off with "please wake me up with those sweet lips" which hints at the beginning of their "relationship" when they roomed together and goes on to detail how the other person changed and that they're no longer what they used to be. Youngjae is left waiting for a sign. Meanwhile, I think "

" is more of a confession type of song about how they're just waiting for one another to give the "okay" to restart their relationship.

 

 

I wanted to write more details but I just got my nails done so it's making it hard for me to type. I'll write more when I adjust to the new length LOL. Anyway, this is just my shipper heart's 2 cents  Also, please correct me on the timing of anything. I always have a hard time remember when things happen.

I think your theory is quite similar to mine, but still a bit different. I just haven't filled in the gaps as much though lol. Cue my delusional ass theory!

 

 

I've always thought that Jaebum might have like...initiated something early on, or tried to? And Youngjae sort of shyed away from him because of it for whatever reason. (maybe he didn't know how he felt, didn't think it was a good idea to have anything like that between bandmates, etc) And maybe Youngjae was the one who intentionally kept away from Jaebum because he felt conflicted by it. 

 

And maybe he eventually warmed up to it or decided that he wanted to try it anyway despite it maybe being a bad idea? But even after he was a bit more open to it, it still seemed like he enjoyed messing with Jaebum lol. Plenty of times we've seen him be super flirty/have a lot of skinship with other members and Jaebum was obviously jealous and it kinda seemed like Youngjae enjoyed the attention.

 

But I feel like now the two have maybe have patched things up and they're really dating I hope they're really dating and they're happy.

I've actually noticed that Jaebum's the one who was mostly awkward and Youngjae was the one who got cold/er and put him at a distance

so I feel, if there was something that happened between them, Jaebum messed it up and spent all this time trying to fix what he did

because he wrote YJ heartfelt letters and talked fondly of him on all occasions and then you'd have YJ say stuff like "good hyung" to all of that and nothing else, not much emotions from him

and when JB would express interest to become roommates again, YJ would not reply

so I feel, maybe JB pulled a "No homo" on him? like, you've seen the stuff he says in interviews and during conversation and such as, but then you have his body and eyes betray him and wander off to Youngjae

meanwhile YJ does not have that side to him and seems more chill about everything, so I feel JB was definitely the one to fk it up

I'm going to have to burst the dirty thought train bubble, BUT the real reason is still really cute!

 

The mics were positioned really low so the boys had to lean down to talk into it. Youngjae got the courage to raise it up and proceeded to wag his tongue at Jaebum because he's an asshole like that LOL, like "ha ha! You caaaaaan't doooo itttt!"

So then Jaebum was like, "should i do it too?" and Youngjae wagged his finger at him like, "don't even try, boiiii!" and yeah... Jaebum raised up his mic and happy ending for both of their backs LOL

I wonder if there is a video copy of them from the Identify era where they really are signalling something with a microphone though...  The pictures don't really do it justice. But pretty much Jaebum whispers something to Youngjae and then holds out the microphone. Youngjae grabs it with both hands and then proceeds to get super embarrassed and he starts wiping his hands on his pants because he thinks that can like wash away the dirty thing he just did lmaoooo
