Every time I go down the wgm tag on tumblr, there is a huge post from some overly pressed Shawol about how Taemin and Naeun couldn't possibly ever like each other ever even kinda slightly. In each post they talk about these magical "fan accounts" stating the two don't talk off camera or that Taemin dislikes her or whatever... but they never provide any proof... I've never once seen a single one of these fan accounts... and believe me i've gone looking. I like to think i'm pretty adept at google, but I must not know the special shawol code to enter to find this alleged proof. Anyway, I probably sound a bit hostile right now...but it does kinda upset me (for reasons i'm not completely sure about). So my question is... has anyone seen these accounts? These pictures that prove Taemin doesn't like her or doesn't talk to her off camera?? Because though i'm confident in my knowledge of Naeun, I haven't been a Shinee fan that long and maybe i've gauged him incorrectly... This isn't a delusional "OMG THEYRE GONNA GET MARRIED" post, it's more of a is Naeun gonna end up getting her feelings hurt by Taemin? So yea, i'd like to see these magical fan accounts or whatever. I've been seeing the same statements said since the beginning, and I've never seen any proof. A part of me is really pissed about this. But I don't know why. I don't think they are a real couple, or that they ever will be. WGM and kpop in general just doesn't work that way. But I almost feel like i'm being left out of some secret and I hate that. Where are these people getting their information? Are they just pulling it out of their asses? I think that is what inspired this rant more than anything. That's nothing new, they are your bias for a reason. Also, please don't pretend you know anything about me, based on a few posts you've seen here and there. I'll give you the same luxury. Also, as you have no way of knowing whether this is real or not (most likely not), unless they start dating and come out with the news, your defensiveness is kind of unnecessary. And some fans get too excited and defensive about shipping because of its existence. It's not worth your time to wonder if any of the couples on there are 'real' or not, it's just entertainment. I'm sure they're friendlier now since they've been interacting for 3 months or so. Janny 2,491 Posted July 16, 2013 Share Posted July 16, 2013 To calm you down, yes, there was ONE account like that, and I saw it (tho there were no photos to proof), but that was based on their Myeongdeong date where there were many pressed Taemin-Fangirls around, so I wouldn't really regard that one credible. Might have just been some pressed fangirl. BEsides.. that was their second recording, they were still awkward. By now, I'm not gonna claim they have feelings for each other, but they're at least friends. As a Shawol I can tell you Taemin is HORRIBLE at pretending, especially when he's not acting (aka he's supposed to be himself), he can't fake some things convincingly, eg smiles. (Sometimes he doesn't even try). So I'm pretty sure he likes her, as a friend or more we'll never know, but he doesn't dislike her...I'm pretty sure about that. MelodyMeritamon 1,666 Posted July 16, 2013 Share Posted July 16, 2013 I remember just one fan account saying they didn't talk at all when the cameras weren't rolling and that was the first date they had when the Shawols were still mindfucked and deciding not to watch the show alltogether >_< For what it's worth, I happen to think they are cute as fuck and Taemin at least likes her, as in is into her, etc etc. That kid sucks at acting natural when it's scripted, can't even read a prompter without making it too obvious, his reactions seem pretty natural and the scripted parts, mostly off-cam "confessions", are pretty obvious. His reactions he doesn't fake that easily and they point to them being not as uncomfortable as they were when they first started. Hell for the most part it's Taemin that acts like he's much more into her than she is into him. So yeah, cute as fuck couple, enjoy the tv show and don't think too much about the rest.
