So it's not like I'd consciously reject someone shorter than me, it's just that most likely I wouldn't even feel atracted to him. This is not a rule though — I guess there are short guys that could catch my attention. It's just that, as I'm pretty shorty, it's rather rare to find guys shorter than me. flying camel 72 Posted December 16, 2014 Share Posted December 16, 2014 I find tallness an attractive trait as opposed to shortness, but no I would not turn someone down because of height if that was the ONLY thing or close to the only thing I didn't like/didn't attract me. I'm 168cm/5'6" and I would date a guy the same height as me or a little shorter. If he was significantly shorter but I found him attractive and likable I would not reject him I do like it when I'm in heels and a guy is still a lot taller than me. But there's nothing wrong about it if I'm the taller one, it just doesn't fit with our socially constructed ideals about men being taller and bigger and stronger than women. I've gone out with taller, shorter, and same height though, and never turned someone down (yet) because of their height. I'm 5'8 and my last crush in High School was 5'3 but he turned out to be a jerk. From then on I only feel attracted to tall guys.
