Just curious, because I need some motivation in my life D;

What did you do to achieve your weight loss, and any tips you have?

Also, feel free to share your height, before weight, and after weight (or just number of pounds/kgs you lost) if you're comfortable. ^_^

when you crave something oily or other snacks in general, try to grab vegetables instead.

like, you want something crunchy? cut cucumbers & eat them

drink lots of water.

even if you don't exercise try to take a walk, you don't have to run.. just walk.

it will take you a while till you lose weight but at least you will be healthier :)

There is no point in exercising or dieting, it's all about your genetics unfortunately :/

Psuedo-science backed excuses to do nothing.

It's something like 20% to do with gebetics, the rest is up to you. Though yes, I've had success in the past. I'd drink water and eat a natural yoghurt, then a small meal. You feel like shit though, so quick weight loss isn't worth it. Light exercise can help to a degrees though.

I lost 5 kgs in a bit more than a month, which is quite a lot for me, by following a personal diet. Fortunately I didn't gain those kgs back ^^!

I don't weigh myself, and I think BMI is stupid. But I was able to lose inches off. I used to wear XL sized shirts, now I'm S-M. And I've shed 6 inches off my waistline.

You might want to check out her videos, specifically the ones she uses Tabata in.

When it comes to diet, just try to cut back on carbs and sodium. And if you can, replace all liquid with water.

I lost 15 kg and it took me 2 years, I did everything to loose it, I exercised everyday for 2 hours everyday ( I still do it ), strict diet: no red meat, nothing that have flour, no sugar, many vegetables, a lot of fish, but like a lot of it, chicken meat boiled, orange juice, no sodas not even once, vitamin suplements: 2 pills of vitamin B before eating, and one of vitamin C in the morning; after I got to my wished weight I started to incorporate read meat and disserts ( once in a while) I restricted to myself; For me it was a breaking point, i didn't wanted to have the bodie I had, and I literally killed myself to be thin, once I cried at night because I was so hungry, and untill the stomach reduced itself I felt hungry all the time, now I use the clothe I like and i'm happier, but you must have an military discipline the first 8 months, you will relapse 3 or 4 times but that's normal :)

i think i lost about ~20kg/40lbs but i also had an undiagnosed metabolic disorder and about ~5kg/10lbs of that melted off once i started receiving the right medicine.

i exercise for an hour to an hour and a half every other day. 30 minutes of running (no stopping) and 30-45 minutes of walking to cool down.

i like eating whatever i want so i made no adjustments to my diet. if it's a special occasion or a holiday i just temporarily up my workout and then return to baseline afterwards.

from my own personal experience, running or swimming are the best at eliminating fat in a short amount of time. if you're out of shape you can start slow. i've always been terrible at running so i did the couch to 5k, but i definitely had to repeat weeks a few times to reach the 5k mark.

people always say that it's about willpower but ... eh, not so much, in my experience. it's just about forming a habit. once you've been doing it long enough it's so part of your day-to-day routine that you actually dislike not exercising.

I lost 5kg in three weeks. I am 167 cm tall and now 56-57kg. This seemed to stabilised.

The reason? No money, so I started to walk and cook for myself....

Because of that, I don't have a pass, so I walk everywhere.

Because I hardly have money, rather than go and buy food, decided to only go shopping where there is really hardly anything left (and I don't buy much since again I don't have much money). I always allow myself to buy a chocolete bar and a chips though.

But I go shopping every second week, this way, and I buy less food.

Anyway even if not drastically, walking more definietly helps. I personally walk a lot. A few month before I went with a friend to a special kind of exercising class (it had a weird name), and she and the coach too sad that everyone is always really exhausted at first and it is okay if I can't do it because others can't either and I will dies of muscle pain, but I had no problem and didn't even had muscle pain, despite the fact I don't exercise regularly. (I don't go anymore cause don't have money)

If the distance is not too much (and the area is not dangerous), then walk.  Also if you cook for yourself and buy less in the supermarket (try to see that from the indergriends that you have at home what could you do with buying only a few additional ones) that too. I also think allowing yourself snacks with some kind of rule (like once a week) is okay. Well when I started to cook I also started to eat less, because I am a sloth and constantly washing the dishes and cooking a lot is a pain in the ass. So I made sure to eat less, so the food I made would last longer, and I would need to cook less. So being lazy can help as well :)

Also don't eat at late at night, after 8pm. Well some sais it should be 6pm, but that might be too hard.

Also when you feel hungry, drink water first, and wait. Sometimes it helps, because people sometimes confuse thirst and hunger.
