Sexual freedom activists today staged a 'face-sitting' demonstration in Westminster in protest at tough new restrictions on the content of online pornography.

Sex workers, fetishists and campaigners donned PVC to demonstrate against "ludicrous" new rules they branded a threat to freedom of expression.

Activists were encouraged to re-enact sex acts such as whipping and face-sitting after a tightening of regulations on UK-made online porn films.

Organiser Charlotte Rose said: "These activities were added to this list without the public being made aware.

"They've done this without public knowledge and without public consent.

What the Government is doing is taking our personal liberties away without our permissions."

The list of around 10 banned acts reportedly range from spanking to strangulation.

Around 22 couples took part in today's demonstration in the shadow of Westminster.

Mistress Absolute, 39, a professional dominatrix and fetish promoter, said the law was restrictive.

"I felt that this was the beginning of something to creep into my sexual freedom and sexual preferences.

"This is a gateway to other laws being snuck in."

their parents must be proud

tbh id protest against that shit too like why ban female ejaculation?? but there's a proper way to protest

And what is the proper way to protest? A bunch of sad people standing in the rain holding stupid signs? Or a bunch idiots tearing a store to pieces?

The purpose of a protest is to have your voice heard and spread to as many people as possible. Considering the fact we are talking about this protest on here and practically every other discussion site out there means they are doing a pretty damn fine job of that.

No one cares , if they wanna sit on each other faces , just don't film it in porn ...  is this too much to ask , and those rules didn't come out no where I am sure the people in charge have good reason for banning them  :donthinkso:

Just once, I'd like to see some protests of these sorts without the usual circus side show of people dressed up all weird.  It makes it hard for your average person to begin to associate and possibly be swayed when they see shit like that.

With all the social injustices going on in the world, these people protest about this?  :>_>:

It's about protecting personal liberty. Censorship is an extremely slippery slope. It starts with controlling what people are allowed to do or enjoy, and it ends with trying to control what people are allowed to think. Places like North Korea or Iran didn't get that way overnight; people were happy in the beginning and it slowly got worse and worse over the years because nobody stepped in and said "no, that's enough".

These people have the right, and frankly the obligation, to protect their sexual liberty.

why not?

it's something that's relevant to them and there's a greater issue of censorship at play here

also it's annoying seeing people post about "greater social injustices" when in reality they probably don't give a shit

why are people trivialising this in here?

They are protesting over something important. It's not about the pornography...it's about big government imposition on personal freedoms.

The reason they can pass stuff like this all the time across numerous different mediums...is because people don't bother to look at the bigger picture. Western government likes to bury its totalitarian politics in things they know the general public won't bother to scrutinise too thoroughly....at least Middle Eastern oppressive politics are more transparent.

If you enjoy the government "in your bedroom", controlling your adult sexual preferences...your internet...and just in general...holding your hand through life and removing your ability to make your own personal choices...ones that affect nobody but you...then i guess go protest against this protest. Wear a sign that says "I LOVE CENSORSHIP...BRING ON NANNY STATE!!!"
