I finished episode 5 and am about to start 6. She worries about him whenever they get in trouble and tries to save him and although Healer does end up saving her, he lets her help Bongsoo.  I find that really interesting and cute.

Am i even making sense?

Yes, and he worries about her too, when she texts him 'I want to die' He rushes to her house. This couple looks already love each other :rlytearpls:  Let's the cute ship sailing! :ahmagah:

same i feel that he is lonely, everyone left him and its hard for him to make connections and trust others

plus after episode 6 i was  :lub:  even more with him

there are so many things that could have happened. I really like how everything is going

right i like how she is so worried about him

she totally thinks she is saving him lol

Episode 6 is so good

YES! :lub:

His abandoned building looks like haunted house :rlytearpls:

That's make the drama never been boring and lack of idea. The writer really wrap the stories neatly, so many mysteries

And she's so confortable with BongSoo as her SISTER! PWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. She's so weird tbvh

CAN'T WAIT THE BLIND FOLDED SCENE IN EP 7!

ep 6: i feel sorry for min jae  ...omo junho father killed young shin father...that must be lie ..moonshik should have blamed it on him...that moment when she confess her love to bong soo without knowing he s the healer  and saying bong soo as her sister/brother   ...i lov jealous jun ho

healer s going really good ...omo is min jae going to betray moon ho  ...

i'm looking for next episodes ...

I dislike Minjae because she can't move on  and and blindly hate the first-second woman status, it's not that the first woman have woman-man love relationship, first woman can be mother or noona in Moonho cased. But I dislike Moonho too, WHY HE TALK BLUNTLY LIKE THAT, sure he doesn't want to lie, but he has many lie and a big one (to Myunghee and Youngshin)

We still don't know who kill who  hope it's just incident

That confession means it's time for Junghoo to leave, right? He's became Boongsoo because he wants to know why Youngshin has his picture. But then he still appears the next day after confession, and it's a cool Bongsoo or maybe he'll the plain Junghoo. Hottie 2 seems like gives Hottie 1 another tasks in the preview :chu:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI5ooiIoyb0

can u watch this video..it's n full screen..

YES I CAN! THANKS! But I already download the full one. And that isn't hard subs, that make the download has no subs ;_;

that another healer s his father's friend right...i ship chang wook with ajummah  ...ajjushi healer and ajummah ship also sounds good   ...jun ho and young shin romance s going very good   ...i except some bromance between hottie 1 and hottie 2  ..

if u buy that nice gift it won't appear as banner ...banner ll only appear if someone give u...

Yes, that senior healer really funny, I ship him with ahjumma :har:  And a big NO, I ship Changwook with myself :megusta:

Hope JungShin kissing on rooftop!

I hope that bromance too, as far they don't have any interaction.

Oh :imstupid: THANK YOU FOR THE INFO! I don't understand Oh store, but you have many stuff there, you like to buy things there?

[Drama] The six faces of Ji Chang Wook behind-the-scenes of “Healerâ€

1419559587-26-org.jpg?w=600&h=600

On the 26th, Ji Chang Wook’s management agency revealed the hidden faces of Ji Chang Wook behind the camera.

In the drama “Healerâ€, Ji Chang Wook shows passionate acting as he transitions between the charismatic Healer with agile and grand action scenes, and the rookie entertainment reporter Park Bong Soo who makes you want to protect him. But the plain look of him, who is now recognised as a hardworking actor, is all the more eye-catching.

In the pictures, his bright smile clearly shows the warm atmosphere at which he is filming with passionate and fun.

Especially, the liveliness of Ji Chang Wook shown in the highlights special of “Healer†from episode 1 to 6 that was aired on Christmas Day drew a warm response from audiences.  Viewers were excited over whether Ji Chang Wook would become the key to untie the entangled relationship between Park Min Young (as Chae Young Shin) and Yoo Ji Tae (as Kim Moon Ho).

Moreover, there is increased anticipation for the unleashing of Ji Chang Wook’s acting abilities through the story development in the future.

A representative of his management agency said, “As the show approaches its mid-way mark, the developments are expected to get more interesting and Ji Chang Wook will also unleash all his hidden potential at once. Ji Chang Wook is always impressed every time the script is released, and he is acting with a strong confidence in the production, so please look forward (to the show).â€

@The guidance

@mufcfangirl

omo u r so hillarious ...somehow ur naught banner suits u  ...

Yeah it's really fun to buy things  ...But now i'm saving my won to buy jiji (jaejoong's cat)  ...

i forgot to mention that hottie2 have a thing for unni ...but still i can't figure out is his feeling for her is it n romantic way or coz of the thing he done n the past and hiding abt her daughter   ... even when hottie2's brother smiling with cake i just can't like him

i don't think he ll leave her..coz he fall n love with her

Which part I said naughty thing?boohoo-crazy-rabbit-emoticon.gif?1292793  I am as pure and white as him:

B5xWR91CUAAr-fJ.jpg

Why I can't find Jiji, is s/he sold out? Pet cost 100k!

Hottie2 seems have a thing, motherly way, I never know how boy's brain works, but my brother like a girl who has similarity as our mom. At thottie2 childhood day, the noona (the only woman between their runaway radio-> what they call this thing is?) play a part as his mom, comfort him when cry. Minjae said that hottie2 good prepared food because he grew up with noona meals. And first episode when hottie2 want to runaway with the noona to Seoul(?), this feeling sound weird. But again what we know until now, looks like hottie2 has no interest on love boohoo-crazy-rabbit-emoticon.gif?1292793

That's right :megusta:  hottie already fell in the deep magma, let the Superman returns

But he get work as bodyguard at the next episode :har: he already stuck under her shadow indeed

It's a bit of a cliche, but the way that it has been executed makes the brother killing his friend because he loves the friend's girl still interesting. It's crazy how closely related the three main characters are to each other and it's even crazier how the brother doesn't care about killing his friends or his friend's kids if it means getting what he wants.

I really love the song by Michael Learns to Rock.

Yoo Ji Tae is so good-looking. I should watch more movies. I'm still discovering so many actors that I don't know about because they don't act in many dramas.

cr: Ji Chang Wook's Kitchen

I love this.

They must've done all of their interviews on the same day because they're wearing the same clothes that they wore in other videos.

After watching the video above, I like Yoo Ji Tae even more now.

WELCOME HOME! Let's love Healer and spazzing a lot :lub:

IMG_2473_1.jpg

And no, it's not that cliche, in ep6 ahjumma said that the one who killed Youngshin's dad is Jungho's dad, but we still don't know the truth yet, who kill who, so many mystery to be unfold make this drama interesting and not that cliche mellow-romance drama. Let's keep it up! 14ep way to go! And sorry to say no again, it's just me btw, but Moonsik isn't that bad, he didn't kill anyone yet, he has that bad reputation as far but has a good man vibe inside. Yes, he loves his wife, but not blindly in love to kill his friend, he doesn't even sleep with the said wife. VERY SORRY FOR BEING WEIRD, I AM A FAN OF SEVERUS SNAPE

Ours too! :lub: Rarely kdramas have English song to their OST.

Agree, we called Yoo Jitae as Hottie2 here, a handsome ahjussi oppa :lub:

Thank you for sharing the video, I'll watch it after this :ilove:

[Drama] “Healer†Ji Chang Wook looks handsome even in bed

wpid-201412281158775326_549f74511fad8_99

Photos of actor Ji Chang Wook lying in bed while preparing for filming have been released.

On the 28th, the production team of KBS drama “Healer†showed an image of Ji Chang Wook that will move the hearts of women.

In the revealed pictures, Ji Chang Wook is wrapped in white bedsheets and with only his face sticking out. Seeming like he had just woken up from his sleep, he shows a natural charm with his disheveled hair and messy look.

His perfect milky white skin and distinct features shine all the more within the white bedsheets, drawing awe from audiences.

In yet another picture, besides being wrapped up in bedsheets, Ji Chang Wook can be seen concentrating on his script. Through this, one can see the secret behind the acting of Ji Chang Wook, who plays the night messenger with overflowing charisma Healer and the clumsy rookie reporter Park Bong Soo.

EPISODE 7 RECAP

healer7-00010.jpg

Jung-hoo gets a rude awakening when Min-ja hacks in with a morning call and issues brisk instructions for the flight she’s booked him. Teacher Ki Young-jae has decided that the Healer should take a break and spend a year in Australia, which piques Jung-hoo’s curiosity for two reasons: One, Teacher’s back? And two, why is he being sent away so suddenly?

Min-ja tries to keep nonchalant, but Jung-hoo’s not about to agree without understanding the reasons. We know that Min-ja and Teacher Young-jae want to keep him in the dark about his father, but just shipping him off with vague instructions is hardly going to be persuasive. He’s made progress in his frame job investigation, honing in on mogul Kim Moon-shik, but Min-ja cuts him off to say that Teacher will take over that task.

Jung-hoo disregards her; he’s got a secret identity to maintain and an office job to get to. She bursts out that he’s long exceeded the three days he’d initially given himself, but Jung-hoo says hotly that she called him “Jung-hoo-yaâ€â€”it’s a slip of the tongue, more personal than the glib “Healer-yaâ€â€”and Teacher skipped out on him and cut off contact. Now they’re ordering him to leave? Nope, if they want to keep him from meeting Kim Moon-shik, then he’ll have to meet Kim Moon-shik. If the Teacher has anything to say about it, he can tell Jung-hoo face to face.

So Jung-hoo gets dressed in his nerdwear and heads out to the Someday News building, only to pause warily in front of it. His voiceover lets us know that his animal instinct is firing, warning him of a trap and urging him to run away.

But he remembers Young-shin’s giddy confession about the night courier she has a crush on. He thinks, “I really didn’t intend to even say a greeting—what’s the point, with people who’d never see each other again?†But his feet take him inside anyway, and he blames Teacher for driving him here (in ordering him away).

As Jung-hoo waits for the elevator, he sees Young-shin’s reflection as she tiptoes up wearing a gleeful face as she prepares to “surprise†him. Ha, I love the entirely unconvincing “Oh, you startled me†he manages to say.

Min-ja tells Teacher Young-jae “I told you so†about Jung-hoo not following blanket orders and asks what he’ll do next. As Teacher replies, we see that he’s actually watching Jung-hoo in person from across the floor—dressed as a cleaning lady, HA. He assesses Young-shin’s character with an approving eye and deems her above Jung-hoo’s reach.

healer7-00057.jpg

But he supposes that he can see the attraction, and decides that they really had better get Jung-hoo on that plane in short order. And then… well, he can step in once the young whippersnapper is out of Young-shin’s range. I’d make a gagging sound but ajumma’s got us covered on that front, making her disgust loudly known in Teacher’s earpiece.

We head inside, where Moon-ho makes his new status at the paper known to the team. This time we see through Jung-hoo’s eyes as he shoots a suspicious look at the new owner and wonders what Moon-ho’s up to.

Moon-shik receives the report that Moon-ho has sold off stock and bought the paper and the building it resides in. Moon-ho had informed hyung of his intentions so Moon-shik is already aware, but his secretary is worried nevertheless about acting without informing “the Elder†(our mysterious Bartender grandpa). Moon-shik shuts him down with one question: Even after twenty years of working for Moon-shik, is the secretary still more loyal to the Elder?

Moon-shik meets Min-jae for a meal, having requested a meeting. She supposes that Moon-ho is the subject of hyung’s interest and asks for liquor over food; I’m not surprised that talking about Moon-ho would drive her to drink.

healer7-00087.jpg

At the newspaper, Jung-hoo looks up in alarm when Young-shin starts closing the blinds to the copy room and fumbling with her pill bottle. It slips from her grasp so he quickly opens it and hands her two pills—oh no! He shouldn’t know that she takes two pills, as it’s a question the Healer had asked. (But oh yay! But oh no!)

She downs the pills and breathes hard, and grabs Jung-hoo’s arm while she calms down. “It’s strange,†she says. “I feel better. That’s strange.†He asks why she’s experiencing an episode when she’s not in a fearful situation, and she waves it off as possibly an accumulation of symptoms given all the recent excitement. She mutters about those gangsters and that utter trash President Hwang giving her nightmares, and Jung-hoo chimes in that her crush showing up at work probably added to the shock.

Young-shin levels a disapproving look at “Bong-sookie,†chiding him for bringing up something she admitted in a weak moment. But Jung-hoo pulls up a chair and says that he thinks Moon-ho came to Someday because of her. She says no way, but the idea makes her smile and reconsider: “Really?â€

Jung-hoo asks whether she has any sort of intuition or feeling about Moon-ho’s motivations—she’s liked him for so long, perhaps she can read him somehow? Young-shin just supposes that Jung-hoo’s never had a one-sided crush, and he agrees, wondering why people have them. She replies that these one-sided crushes happen outside of your control, and as she explains, he tries to imagine the feeling.

One day she was watching the news, and inexplicably, she felt incredibly moved by Moon-ho. No reason, no control. And another day, somebody was talking about an errand boy, explaining that he refuses to take on jobs that hurt people. She continues, “They say he’s always alone. He’s on his own in the dark. Nobody can know who he is, because he has to be alone. That feeling—you probably can’t even imagine it, can you?â€

Jung-hoo hides his surprise as she explains experiencing a similar thing as a child: “Wanting to be seen by nobody, known by nobody, being alone.â€

She recalls herself with a start, grumbling about getting off-track and heading out. She pauses to ask how he knew how many pills to give her, and Jung-hoo stammers that most pills are two per dose. She lets it slide, and he gets to breathe a sigh of relief this time.

Over wine with Moon-shik, Min-jae shares what she knows of Young-shin, which isn’t much. She admits to not wanting to know about the young, pretty woman Moon-ho’s taken an interest in, even if he’s driven more by obligation than anything else. She asks Moon-shik about Moon-ho’s “first woman†and how his recent actions are motivated by repaying his debt to her.

 healer7-00132.jpg

Moon-shik’s gaze sharpens at that, but he doesn’t know any more than she does. He chuckles lightly that they’re not brothers who share those kind of thoughts, but as soon as he leaves the meeting he puts his secretary to the task of looking into Young-shin’s background. He’s already got an inkling as to who she may be, considering Moon-ho’s recent comments about Ji-an’s coffin being empty all these years, and asks specifically about whether she was adopted.

The Someday offices are a whirl of activity, as Moon-ho wastes no time with pleasantries and gets busy directing his new staff. This has the harried Editor Jang in fits, but Moon-ho disregards his ineffectual protests and gives each reporter instructions working on a piece of the President Hwang/Assemblyman Kim story.

He gives Jung-hoo an assignment too, which he rescinds when Jung-hoo hesitates. But the job is to hunt down President Hwang’s favorite bars and hostess clubs and Jung-hoo claims it before Young-shin is given the task… which frees her to work with Moon-ho. Oh, I love his disgruntlement at that.

healer7-00201a.jpg

Jung-hoo makes a point to shove his way between them, using his meek facade to feign innocence as he asks for Moon-ho’s phone number. Then he pointedly shoves his way between them again… and then “remembers†that he’s headed the other way and shoves his way one last time. I love this. I want him to be petty and passive-aggressively shove-y all drama long.

healer7-00178.jpg healer7-00182.jpg

The phone bit was so that Jung-hoo could plant a program in Moon-ho’s cell phone, and he directs Min-ja to give him access to its contents. Ajumma tries once more to persuade him into making his flight to Australia, but Jung-hoo just tells her to be sure to convey his message to Teacher: He’d better get in touch by the end of the day, or he’ll never call him Teacher again.

For now, he intends to get to work and heads out in a car driven by sidekick Dae-yong. She wonders why he’s heading out on a job in the middle of the day, but he says that after dropping by “that house†the last time, he’s felt uneasy.

Min-ja calls back with her first report after hacking into Moon-ho’s phone, which has turned up some very interesting details. First off, the emails confirm that he is indeed the client who paid the Healer to get Young-shin’s DNA. But on top of that, he’s put in a new request: To protect Young-shin, particularly from his brother’s people and the SS henchmen.

Moon-ho begins his first training session with Young-shin, starting with teaching her how to interview subjects. She starts to go on about her veteran experience, but he cuts through the bluster and strips her experience down to the bleak essentials: paparazzi stalking, lurking around hoping for photo ops, being so low on the media totem pole that she can’t even score interviews.

Young-shin replies that the people these days care more about entertainment news than politics or current events, and makes a pretty solid case for her line of work. It would be quite convincing if we didn’t already know it’s a defense and that she has higher aspirations.

Moon-ho appeals to those by saying that Assemblyman Kim has a press conference slated this week, and he’s thinking to send Young-shin. She should use the opportunity to ask him directly about the whole Hwang/Yeon-hee business. He’ll teach her how to pull it off—if she’s up to it. Which, of course, she is.

Dad goes over the case with Yeon-hee, not that things look any better for them than they did the last time. She’s ready to put herself out there and testify, and adds that there’s proof in President Hwang’s home—he recorded the room salon visits he forced his ladies to comply with, using the videos as blackmail. But Dad knows that they need grounds to seize evidence from Hwang, and that her testimony enough isn’t sufficient.

Pickpocket Ajusshi interrupts to tell Dad that he had put out a request for some backup, per Young-shin’s instructions to keep Yeon-hee safe. Not having faith that he and Dad alone could fend off trouble, he has put out the call to all the ex-cons Dad has helped in the past, who are devoted to him and have arrived to make themselves useful. Aw, it’s adorable how all the tough guys all stand at attention and bow to “hyungnim†like he’s their mob boss.

Jung-hoo drives right up to President Hwang’s mansion and distracts the front line of SS bodyguards by dropping a toy on the ground and driving right past them. It’s a pretty low-tech method for our hi-tech Healer, but I’m not getting the sense these SS goons are all that sharp. Then he climbs up to the second floor, enters via an unlocked door, and makes his way through the house by distracting the inhabitants.

He strolls right into Hwang’s study, who’s so agog at the stranger’s unexplained presence that he just watches suspiciously as Jung-hoo picks up a penknife and looks around at Hwang’s collection of antiques. When Hwang doesn’t heed his warning to keep quiet, Healer slashes the priceless painting with nary a second thought, sending Hwang into a rage.

Jung-hoo easily sidesteps his swings, grabs a golf club, and says menacingly that Hwang sure likes hitting people, but probably doesn’t know what it feels like being on the receiving end. He delivers a few hard blows, and Hwang’s screams bring his bodyguards running, though they’re locked out by the heavy doors.

Hwang begs for mercy and promises to give him anything he wants. Jung-hoo asks him what room salons he frequents and gets the name, and advises Hwang not to go around beating women anymore, since he should know how much it hurts now. Then he demands the videos and finds a safe hidden behind his painting, which he proceeds to break into with little difficulty.

healer7-00338.jpg

By the time the SS guards break into the room, the safe has been ransacked and the Healer is gone. Hwang screams in impotent rage at his lax security while Jung-hoo makes his stylish exit, swooping down from the house and heading off without even breaking a sweat. He thumps his chest and says with satisfaction that the troublesome feeling has worked itself out.

Moon-shik calls in Moon-ho’s jovial hoobae from the broadcast station, Jong-soo, and asks a favor of him. Jong-soo is utterly gobsmacked when Moon-shik asks him to resign his position and join Moon-ho at his new internet paper, because that’s like asking someone to give up his hard-earned New York Times post to go to a trash news blog. But Moon-shik offers him a position as a deputy director at his own paper and a doubled salary, all in exchange for a few months’ work spying on Moon-ho.

Back at the paper, Moon-ho instructs Young-shin to try out his lessons on him in a mock interview. The question at hand is simple—why did he leave his job to end up here?—but he picks apart each of her attempts at asking it. Too know-it-all-y, too roundabout, too timid. She flounders for a tactic, and he prods her to do something to keep his attention, even if she has to throw her shoe at him.

And that leads us into a flashback, where a child Young-shin (well, Ji-an) asks teenage “Uncle†Moon-ho to fix her broken toy. But he’s fixated on his schoolwork and doesn’t stop studying—and so, Ji-an starts throwing toy blocks at him. He finds her so cute that he calls her Little Peanut and ends up chasing her around the room. When her parents come home to put her to bed, Ji-an insists on Uncle Moon-ho doing it instead, which he’s happy to do.

healer7-00396.jpg

Young-shin finds Moon-ho staring at her with oddly intent eyes, so he forces himself back to the present, swallowing back all that emotion.

Moon-shik receives the report about the theft of Hwang’s video recordings. Assemblyman Kim’s footage doesn’t sound too damning—mostly him drinking with Yeon-hee—but Moon-shik says he knows Kim and his “dirty habits,†suggesting that the videos are a liability.

Moon-shik sees his wife outside directing the gardener and joins her with a warm smile, inquiring after her day and seeing to her comfort. Myung-hee motions at him to look off into the distance with her, sighing contentedly at the thought of the sunset that’ll happen later. At his impatience to see it now, she laughs about the old days, taking us back to their student days.

healer7-00424.jpg healer7-00462.jpg

Young Myung-hee sits with Young Moon-shik at a junkyard (apparently the family business) while their friends goof off, saying happily that she’d like time to stop right now. Moon-shik counters that he doesn’t want to stay stuck in this time of uncertainty, preferring to move on. He notes that the other friends intend to pursue jobs at the same newspaper, but Moon-shik isn’t particularly moved by dreams of journalism.

Their bike-riding friend (now Teacher) adds that Moon-shik’s only concern is to stay next to Myung-hee, pointing out that Moon-shik should just tell her that he likes her. Even if he gets rejected, at least it’ll be a course of action. “If you drag it out, it’ll eat away at all five of us,†he says.

The moment afterward is taut with awkwardness, but dispels as Myung-hee looks up at the sunset in awe.

Young-shin nods off while watching videos of old interviews, when a message pings her phone. The contents have her jolting awake, though: “Now. On the roof. Alone. –Healer.â€

She arrives on the rooftop and finds a trail of arrows marked on the ground, which leads her to an envelope containing a hard drive. She checks her phone and finds a new message: “A gift — from Hwang Jae-gook’s safe.â€

She can’t see any sign of the Healer but calls out to him all the same, deducing that he’d still be nearby. She asks him to talk to her, and hurriedly blindfolds herself with her scarf to induce him to stay.

healer7-00519.jpg

Around the corner, Jung-hoo steps out to join her on the roof. He asks—in his normal voice, since it’s his Bong-soo voice that tends to be at a higher pitch—what she wants to know.

She asks if he’s the Healer, and if he saved her in the alley. And if he took her bag and clipped her fingernail. Now he gives her this gift—why?

Jung-hoo walks right up to her as she says she’s got a hunch. Jung-hoo smiles when she guesses that the nail clipping was for DNA purposes, and that he’s been watching her ever since, which is how he saved her from the gangsters. But again—why?

healer7-00525.jpg

She asks haltingly, “Are you… my biological father?†HAHA, the incredulous look on his face. She adds, “Or maybe… my biological brother?†There goes another look. I’m sure it’s not just my imagination (or my wishful thinking) that he’s staring extra intently at her lips, given that it’s all that he can see of her face right now…

Young-shin’s hands graze his jacket, and she only now realizes that he’s standing right there. She reaches a hand out to touch his chest, and asks, “Who are you? And who am I?â€

Jung-hoo’s a bit rattled too, and reaches up to take her hand in his. He leans in closer (omg*#$@!%# feeeeelings) and drops his voice: “I told you—don’t go following random people fearlessly. And be careful of people who come near and act nice to you.â€

Confused and all mixed up, she wonders, “W-why?â€

Her hand still in his, he lowers it back to her side… and then he’s gone. She feels around in the empty air and pulls off the scarf—she’s alone.

Teacher Young-jae is joined at a cafe by Min-ja—and my, don’t these two clean up nice, like something out of a period romance. She notes that the day’s coming to an end—if he doesn’t call Jung-hoo soon, he’ll risk his continued wrath.

Teacher still calls her Detective Jo, since that’s who she was when they first met and he’d been caught. He was quite the handful, but he says he believed he could save his four friends if he kept his mouth shut. Ah, so the pirate broadcasting spree must’ve caught up to them.

healer7-00550.jpg healer7-00542.jpg

He served eleven years, and when he was released he found two of his friends dead, one half-paralyzed, and one a massive success. Min-ja reminds Teacher that he’d found the circumstances suspicious and wonders why he didn’t dig into it. Teacher says that finding the truth wouldn’t have brought happiness. They both laugh sardonically at the word happiness, which Min-ja scoffs as being bullcrap.

Teacher replies that bullcrap and truth can be similar—and that a bullcrappy truth can be one’s fate. It has a way of pulling people in, which is what he says is happening to Jung-hoo. Min-ja: “You don’t always find happiness at the end of the truth. It could be hell.†Teacher: “But you can’t help it, since it’s fate.†They toast.

Young-shin dives into the hard drive of video footage late into the night, though her thoughts are fixated on her encounter with the Healer, just as his are. He nearly runs a red light in his distraction, while she cuts her finger on a pop-top can (proving her father’s warnings about cans true).

Closing her eyes, she relives the moment of being in touching range of the Healer, and at the same time, Jung-hoo replays her words about understanding the Healer’s loneliness.

Moon-shik steps into his study and is startled when his hidden compartment opens up of its own accord. A voice warns him that his security cameras will be displaying dummy footage, warning him not to call for help and cause a scene. Moon-shik guesses that it’s the Healer, and Jung-hoo confirms.

Jung-hoo directs Moon-shik to sit down and watch the screen, on which familiar footage is playing. That’s the delivery that the now-dead Go Sung-chul was tasked with handing off to the Healer—and Moon-shik then killed Go and framed the Healer for it.

Moon-shik feigns ignorance, but Jung-hoo says that this is footage he killed to protect, which makes it very interesting. And given his excellent hacking skills, it would be no matter for him to insert that footage into the evening news broadcast. That threat has Moon-shik concerned, and we can recognize one face in that footage—our enigmatic Elder.

Moon-shik reminds him that the Healer is known for carrying out his customers’ orders without interfering, stealing, or blackmailing. Jung-hoo replies that it’s true, until somebody tries to frame him for murder. Moon-shik asks how much money he wants, but Jung-hoo sighs that it’s always the same with people, and he’s rather tired of that response.

So what does he want? “The real killer,†Jung-hoo answers. He gives Moon-shik three days to turn over the culprit to the police if he wants to keep the video private. Moon-shik scoffs that he can’t exactly trust him to honor that, but Jung-hoo points out that his business would tank if news were to leak that he intercepted a client’s delivery and used it to blackmail him. Jung-hoo flicks off the lights and reaches for the doorknob… which twists open before he reaches it.

The door swings open on a startled Myung-hee, who gets a completely unobstructed glimpse of his face. Jung-hoo quickly turns away, but she’s already gotten a look and grabs his arm. She exclaims, “Joon-seok-ah!â€

He looks at her in surprise—as does Moon-shik, who recognizes the name. Far from afraid, she looks happy to see him, repeating, “You’re Joon-seokie, aren’t you?â€

[Drama] Actor Ji Chang Wook and his character are both evolving in “Healerâ€

wpid-1419986244_827304.jpg?w=600

Actor Ji Chang Wook’s impregnable heart has started to melt in “Healerâ€.

In the episode of “Healer†aired on the night of 30 December, Ji Chang Wook (Seo Jung Hu) started to become more aware of his feelings towards Park Min Young (Chae Young Shin).

The character Seo Jung Hu that Ji Chang Wook is playing is one who grew up as the only son of a father who had committed suicide and a mother who had remarried. As he had a childhood where everyone had left him, he shut himself up, hating to understand humans and had no concern for them.

But Seo Jung Hu who ended up hanging around Chae Young Shin because of Kim Moon Ho’s task, he started to be suspicious of his past and the people connected to his father. Here, he started to have good feelings for Chae Young Shin who calls him by the nickname “Bong Suk-ieâ€, making audiences more excited.

In particular, Seo Jung Hu who had stiffened because of events in the past, relaxed his expression upon receiving a message from Chae Young Shin who was worried about him, and the scene where he made “personal contact†with her by touching her forehead with his hand despite Kim Moon Ho’s warning to him not to make any personal contact with her showed his cute jealousy.

Moreoever, the ending where he kissed her when she was worried about him after he barely managed to save her in the falling escalator makes the show interesting as people wonder how his fate will change now that he has fallen in love.

As such, people are watching with interest to see what kind of healing Love will bring to the lonely life of Seo Jung Hu, who had forgotten how to cry. There is also greater expectation towards actor Ji Chang Wook who is portraying a man in love in detail.

EPISODE 8 RECAP

Myung-hee’s unexpected run-in with Jung-hoo occupies her thoughts afterward, and we see the encounter play out from her perspective. This time when the Healer steps out of the study, he actually bears her friend Joon-seok’s face and she calls out his name in surprise. But her vision of Joon-seok’s face is replaced with Jung-hoo’s actual one, and she drops his sleeve at the realization. Similar, but different.

Still, she tries to follow when he hurries away, although Moon-shik holds her back. As her knee-jerk reaction fades, she remembers that her friend has been dead twenty years and can’t be the person she saw, assuming that her mind was playing tricks on her. Moon-shik, however, carefully files away this information about the uncanny resemblance.

Moon-shik calls the Healer a burglar and Myung-hee decides that her confusion was her mistake, since she didn’t get a good look at the face after all. But the reminder of Joon-seok spurs the desire to get in touch with his widow, and she asks her husband to look into it. Moon-shik cautions that she might not want the reminder, but Myung-hee persists.

Moon-shik casually-but-not-casually mentions their son, and Myung-hee supplies him with the name and age (28, a month older than Ji-an), and another piece seems to click into place in his brain. It is a scary-smart brain.

The grounds crawl with security guards who completely miss the shadowy Healer perched up in a tree. I know the Healer’s the best in the industry, but the SS goons hardly make that look like an accomplishment. Jung-hoo is too intrigued to leave, watching Myung-hee at her window as he puts in a call to Min-ja.

Jung-hoo guesses that the reason Min-ja and Teacher wanted him out of the country was because of this connection between Myung-hee and his father. He gives Min-ja a long moment to explain why, and when the line remains silent, he says that he’ll have to find out for himself then.

But just as he’s about to head back, his Teacher’s voice comes over the line, stopping him short. He provides just enough information about Myung-hee’s identity to prevent him from going off like a hothead, and directs Jung-hoo to a meeting spot.

Jung-hoo drives furiously and arrives at the riverbank, where he thinks back to being eight: “After my mother left, I’ve never cried because of a person. I didn’t hope for anything from another person either. What I hate most in this world is a person’s understanding and interest.â€

This flashes him back to his schoolboy years, when he’s punished at school for fighting with other boys. His teacher clucks over his constant troublemaking but asks the counselor for her understanding and interest, since Jung-hoo has no parents. He sits there enduring his teacher’s pity and his classmates’ ridicule as it’s explained that his father killed himself and his mother left.

When Jung-hoo returns to class, word has spread. Worse than ridicule is pity, and when a classmate tells the others to go easy on Jung-hoo, it only sparks more rage.

His phone rings with a call from Young-shin, who pelts him with questions and concern: Was he tracking down bars all night? Did he sleep? Why isn’t he picking up his calls? She picks up on his down mood, then asks him to pick either east or west. She received information yesterday that she ought to report to Moon-ho, but isn’t sure how much to reveal, so she’ll decide randomly. Hence: east or west?

She doesn’t leave room for Jung-hoo to protest, so he arbitrarily picks east and tries to get in a few words—difficult, when he’s not supposed to know what her info’s about. But she just tells him to eat breakfast and come in late if he needs to.

He thinks again, “What I hate most in the world is understanding and interest. Or, I used to.â€

While Young-shin waits for Moon-ho to arrive at work, she mulls over her dilemma. She remembers advice she’d once been told about trusting other people, and how you shouldn’t automatically mistrust the 49 people out of 50 who are trustworthy, just because one isn’t. And yet… there’s the Healer’s warning to be wary of people who approach her with nice gestures.

She’s there when Moon-ho’s broadcast hoobae, Jong-soo, arrives to play out his role of spy. He presents himself as a close associate of Moon-ho’s, so Young-shin asks what kind of person Moon-ho is. Jong-soo agrees to tell her, if she’ll tell him all about this Chae Young-shin person, who may be the reason for Moon-ho’s move to Someday.

healer8-00151.jpg

Young-shin’s face goes through a hilarious series of reactions to Jong-soo’s questions, which have less to do with her character and much more to do with whether she’s fresh-faced or sweet or stacked. Just then Moon-ho arrives and calls her name (Jong-soo starts in embarrassment), steering her aside for a report on her latest findings.

Young-shin plays President Hwang’s room-salon footage for Moon-ho and Editor Jang, which contains over 200 hours of video of various important men being drunk and sleazy with Hwang’s stable of actresses. But naturally they want to know where she got her hands on this evidence, and she fumbles for an answer before settling on the truth.

She reveals that her informant is someone she’s been researching for a very long time, and that it took a lot of effort to manage a rendezvous. However, she’s frank about her misgivings in trusting Moon-ho with this, since she’s not sure he won’t claim her work. Therefore, she asks that he entrust her with handling contact with the source.

Moon-ho promises readily, and asks who it is. She asks if he knows what a night courier is, and names one such messenger called the Healer. Moon-ho confirms that he’s heard of the guy.

Jung-hoo comes rushing into the office to report to the boss, but Jong-soo blocks him and insists there’s a meeting going on. Jung-hoo pulls a feint—again, mixing Bong-soo-like clumsiness with Healer’s slick moves to whirl around Jong-soo and barge in anyway.

He announces that he’s found Hwang’s favorite room salon, Luna Moon, acting like he spent all night pounding the pavement instead of just beating the info out of Hwang.

As he’s talking, Young-shin sees the pop-up notification on Moon-ho’s computer: email from the Healer. She looks at him in shock, and Moon-ho asks the others to leave them to some privacy. Jung-hoo purposely drops papers that give him an excuse to plant a bug underneath the table, then is ushered out by the editor.

healer8-00204.jpg

Young-shin eyes Moon-shin with a fresh wave of distrust: Why would Healer be emailing Moon-ho? Via the bug, Jung-hoo listens in on the conversation as Young-shin asks Moon-ho whether he hired the Healer, and what he requested. He’s got Min-ja on the other line, who sent the email at his instructions, since he wanted clarification about why Moon-ho wanted Young-shin protected.

Moon-ho admits that he hired the Healer but declines to answer why, turning the conversation into an interviewing critique—she’s approaching him all wrong. She asks if he asked the Healer to save her from gangsters, and to take her DNA sample. She can’t understand his reasons, neither can she just drop it and accept non-answers.

Despite picking at her interviewing flaws, Moon-ho decides to answer her initial question about why he came to Someday. He says he wanted to set up his own outlet and ran background checks on every employee, not just her. After all, she’ll be a journalistic “human shield†for him, so he has to make sure she’s in good shape.

Stated like that it sounds so simple, and it gets him off the hook for every question minus the one he can’t answer about her DNA, which he baldly denies. Young-shin is hit with a wave of disappointment and embarrassment, and says that her exchange with the Healer yesterday now “makes me want to die.â€

At that, we split-screen to show Jung-hoo’s face reacting to her mortification (agh, so good) as she thinks of his warning not to trust too readily. She cuts herself off before admitting that much to Moon-ho, though he’s more interested in the tidbit about her meeting the Healer yesterday. Did she see his face?

She replies, “If I’d seen it, I would know just how pitifully he regarded me.â€

Moon-shik receives confirmation that Young-shin was found at the age of five and bounced from family to family for a while, and was finally adopted at eight. She was found behind a trash can in a Seoul alleyway, and was thought to have a speech disability because she refused to talk.

The report badly shakes Moon-shik’s composure, and he thinks back to the aftermath of that accident. Badly injured and lying in a hospital bed, Myung-hee begs him to find Ji-an for her. He inquires at the police station, where a report confirms that a child was found hiding behind a trash can, and that takes him to the orphanage.

Sobbing Ji-an runs to hug him, and Moon-shik comforts her wearing a heavy expression. You can see the wheels already turning in his head….

 healer8-00289.jpg

As Moon-shik recalls this, he starts breathing heavily and then hears a voice asking, “Why did you do it?†He sees his old friend Joon-seok in the room, chiding him: “If you were gonna be torn up about it forever, you should’ve just brought her home.†Ooh, is he turning all Macbeth on us now?

He tries to ignore his conscience-specter, but Joon-seok persists, asking if he thought Ji-an’s survival would keep Myung-hee bound to her dead husband. He looks like he wants to defend himself, but every time he tries to speak up, Joon-seok disappears.

And then another voice asks, “Why did you do it?†This time it’s Gil-han, Myung-hee’s first husband, reminding him, “We were friends.†He advances on Moon-shik with that look of betrayal on his face, and Moon-shik shrinks back in fear. “Friends shouldn’t do that,†Gil-han says.

healer8-00308.jpg

And upping the creep factor even more, we see the secretary watching intently from the doorway, noting Moon-shik’s erratic behavior and reporting it straightaway to the Elder. He explains about the brothers being interested in the child lost in 1992, and that Moon-ho appears to have already approached her.

The Elder calls Moon-shik “top class†among all the people he’s developed, knowing his place without being servile, and when to advance and when to retreat. “But you see,†he adds, “Moon-shik has exactly one weakness. That daughter. She has the capability to turn him into a balloon doll—one of those dancing balloons you put in front of stores. One needle is all it takes to pop it: “And we can’t let that happen to Moon-shik.â€

The secretary understands what he means, and agrees to send Moon-ho a clear warning without Moon-shik knowing.

Moon-ho replies to the Healer’s request for information, advising him to be particularly wary of Secretary Oh. He also adds the order for the Healer to not contact Young-shin personally.

Then he assigns Young-shin and Jung-hoo (dude, couple sweaters!) to interview Yeon-hee and asks for a detective to whom they can submit the evidence, so as to prevent the other side from obstructing the case. Young-shin knows of one such character, having run into Investigator Yoon while staking out Hwang.

Then Moon-ho introduces his buddy to the team, and Editor Jang is still unable to understand why these elites would choose to come here. Moon-ho prods Jong-soo to tell them what he’d confessed earlier: that he came to spy for Moon-shik. Aw, so he couldn’t backstab his sunbae after all! I wanted to be able to keep liking him, and now I’m glad I can.

Young-shin gripes about Moon-ho on the car ride over to the interview, asking if it’s so hard for him to praise her a little for staying up all night researching. All that work catches up to her and she nods off in her seat, and as her head starts to fall, Jung-hoo carefully reaches over to prop it up with his hand.

healer8-00366.jpg

He drives like that all the way to Young-shin’s house, where he finds weird gangster-looking ajusshis hanging about. He’s just about to back away before they’re seen, but Young-shin awakes and lights up, darting out to greet her ex-con ajusshi uncles. The mood is adorably energetic as they fawn over her, until grumpy Dad shoos them away for scaring off his customers. Jung-hoo watches this all with bemusement that gradually turns to amusement.

Over at the SS office, Sang-soo assures Secretary Oh that he and his team are up to the task. Then he gives his guys an hour to accomplish their goal, and they get to work manipulating a voice clip taken from Moon-ho’s news broadcast.

Dad again asks Yeon-hee if she’s okay to go through with the interview, even if her face will be pixelated onscreen. He knows how the other side’s attorney will attack, and giving an interview could have adverse effects on her. But Yeon-hee remains firm, reminding him that she isn’t concerned with preserving her reputation; all she wants is to take them down.

Dad asks for some time to discuss things with Yeon-hee before giving the interview, and they step aside. Young-shin asks Jung-hoo if he can handle the camera equipment, and he meekly just says he’s sure it’ll work out. Ha. He surreptitiously links in to Min-ja, who adds that his father was reportedly a whiz with machines too.

She reads him Moon-ho’s reply email, including that addendum about not making personal contact with Young-shin. I think we all know Healer well enough by now to see that this is exactly the kind of thing to spur his rebellious streak, and he just scoffs.

healer8-00436.jpg healer8-00440.jpg

Young-shin leans over to examine the camera setup, and as she looks at the equipment, he looks over at her. He reaches out with a finger, and she looks at him in puzzlement as he lightly touches her forehead. “What are you doing?†she asks. “Contact,†he replies. “Personal contact.†LOL. He is such a teenager sometimes.

Min-ja practically rolls her eyes, then mentions the Teacher asking a strange question earlier about whether he preferred fruit or chocolate. Is it some kind of a code? But Jung-hoo has no clue.

Young-shin puts on a record and starts mugging for the camera, which confuses Jung-hoo. She tells him to let it go because she’s in a heavy mood, all while sending funny faces at the camera. Then she assumes a serious journalist’s mien as she runs through a mic test, mock-reporting: “Hello everyone. You are looking at a woman who has been rejected by her Crushes 1 and 2 simultaneously, who is here with clear mind to report all the same.â€

Jung-hoo’s expression sharpens as he registers this. She continues: “Number 1 called this woman a human shield, and Number 2 thinks of her as a delusional attention seeker. However, let us forget this readily. Like a sad dream conjured in the middle of the night, which goes like darkness at the light of dawn. Let us forget. Let us pretend it never happen—â€

She stumbles before finishing. Jung-hoo looks up at her with those eyes (those eyes), and she blinks back tears and chatters quickly about the weather.

The interview begins, and Yeon-hee names names and tells her story frankly. Young-shin starts light and increases the pressure, asking if she went along to entertain the assemblyman because she thought she’d be rewarded with favors later. It’s a little strong, so she backs off and moves on, but Yeon-hee answers anyway, saying that Young-shin doesn’t know the fear so she can talk about it so easily. She says that those people are capable of doing anything to protect their interests.

Secretary Oh confirms that whatever scheme he’s put the SS team on, it’s ready to go.

Meanwhile, Jung-hoo finally gets a call from his Teacher, who asks if he prefers chocolate or sweet potatoes. He tells him to go home immediately if he wants to meet, because Teacher’s only waiting five minutes. Jung-hoo’s exit is stopped by ajusshi, who tells him to take lunch with him, and a glimpse at the pastry case jars Jung-hoo’s memory—it’s his birthday. So that’s what Old Fogey Teacher was rattling on about?

Moon-ho calls Young-shin to the office, because an informant has surfaced. She heads out immediately, following his directions to a particular location… and we see that this is the SS tech team’s doing. Gack, they’ve doctored Moon-ho’s voice using his broadcasts, and she’s none the wiser. Fake Moon-ho directs her to turn off her phone as well, to evade potential tracking, and she complies.

Then the real Moon-ho gets a call from an unknown number. It’s a random schoolboy, who reads a note provided by Secretary Oh warning him not to forget that he owes the family who raised him, and that he cannot throw it away over one bad woman, and that his family is awaiting his return.

Alarmed, Moon-ho tries calling Young-shin and gets no reply. So he sends Healer an email outlining the details, and Jung-hoo screeches the car to a halt and orders ajumma to locate Young-shin via the tracker in her bag. He hears the direction and zooms off in a hurry. So does Moon-ho.

Secretary Oh prepares the next phase of his eeeevil plan by entering a building dressed as a construction worker, and starts to tamper with some kind of machinery. That’s the building Young-shin arrives at, although the front doors are locked. That forces her to go around to find an open door, and she enters cautiously, looking for Moon-ho.

She finds the one elevator that will work—the one that Secretary Oh has just messed with. She steps inside, and the elevator begins its ascent. Once it’s in motion, Secretary Oh opens the cable box and snips a wire.

Suddenly, the elevator jolts and clangs to a stop, while the lights flicker off. Then, it starts to free-fall—with nine stories between her and death. The elevator stops after a short drop, but it doesn’t look like it’ll hold for long.

Driving like a maniac, Jung-hoo arrives at the building and heads inside the same way. He hears the elevator gears as it begins a second fall, running in that direction as it catches a second time. He bangs on the doors at the bottom and she hears it, screaming out for help.

Jung-hoo starts running up the staircase, and Secretary Oh, who’s heading down, hears the approach with enough time to duck aside.

Young-shin fights to tamp down her mounting panic, but she can feel the precarious hold on the elevator and starts to hyperventilate. Jung-hoo arrives on the rooftop and quickly clips emergency cords in place, wearing one end as a harness, and runs to the elevator shaft.

Opening the doors manually, he sees the car stuck halfway down and leaps into the shaft, guided by the cables, and lands atop the car with a thud that makes Young-shin scream.

He opens the door and drops into the elevator next to her, just as the last of the cables give way and start snapping. He quickly pulls her cap down over her eyes and belts her into the harness, then grabs hold of her with one arm and the cable with the other.

healer8-00623a.jpg

The elevator begins its final plummet, literally falling away around them as they are pulled upward.

Jung-hoo assists Young-shin onto the rooftop, but once they’re there she flings off his arm angrily. Aw, she’s still embarrassed.

She yells at him for risking his life, and then says in a wavering voice that she’s grateful for his help, “But if we fell together, we would have both died!†More to the point, he would have died, and just because of her.

Her eyes still covered, she asks if he’s still here and reaches out a hand just as she did the other day. He steps back before she makes contact but she figures he’s still around and says that even though Moon-ho paid him for his work, she doesn’t have the money to pay him back for saving her life. “I’m sorry,†she says quietly. “Thank you.â€

Without saying anything, he drops her bag at her feet and starts walking away. But he stops after a few steps, registering the snow that’s started to fall.

healer8-00650.jpg

His voiceover repeats earlier sentiments: “After becoming alone, up till now, I haven’t wished for anything from another person. And so, I was fine.â€

Below, Moon-ho arrives outside the building and heads inside. Jung-hoo continues: “I didn’t care at all whether anyone understood or misunderstood me. I was like that.â€

But past tense is past tense, and he suddenly whirls around, walking purposely toward Young-shin. He pulls off his gloves and folds up her hat, just enough to see the bottom half of her face. He stops short of her eyes… and leans in… and kisses her.

I'm totally getting Mary Jane and Spiderman vibes from Healer (based on the films directed by Sam Raimi). MJ kisses Spiderman, but Spiderman is the one whose mask is rolled up. Like Healer, after being rescued, the girl (MJ) starts to fall for the superhero. Although she ended up falling for Peter Parker before finding out that he was also Spiderman.

For a second there, I thought he was going to reveal his identity but he ended up kissing her.

Agree :rlytearpls:

[Drama] Ji Chang Wook and Ji Il Joo pose together as father and son

A photo of Ji Chang Wook and Ji Il Joo together as father and son is becoming a hot topic.

The production team of Healer has released a behind-the-scenes still of Ji Chang Wook and Ji Il Joo.

The released photo shows the filming of the scene in episode 8 where Myung Hee (played by Do Ji Won) mistook Jung Hu for Jun Seok. The scene gripped audiences with its unexpected story development.

In the photo, Ji Chang Wook and Ji Il Joo are seen dressed identically in the Healer’s outfit from head to toe. From the friendly look in their eyes to the shape of their lips and their gentle smile, the two of them looked so alike they could pass off as real father and son, showing their great coordination.

In particular, the sight of Ji Chang Wook gently resting his hand on Ji Il Joo’s shoulder and Ji Il Joo placing his hand over Ji Chang Wook’s is even more heartwarming.

In the show, Jun Seok is a character who has already died, and the fate of the loving father and son who will never be able to meet in the drama arouses sympathy from viewers. There is also curiosity about the past incident in 1992 related to the death of Jun Seok.

Netizens commented on the photo, “No wonder Do Ji Won was mistakenâ€, “I would believe if you told me they were father and sonâ€, “The two of them really look alikeâ€, “I cannot forget the look in Jung Hu’s eyes when he saw his father’s photoâ€, “This is a photo that you will never get to see in the drama..it’s heartbreaking.â€
