Thank you.

The storyline is refreshing. It's been a while since I last saw a k-drama and I'm not sure what exactly sparked my interest in this one (probably Chang Wook) but I'm glad I have a show to look forward to every week. I kind of wish I had discovered it after it ended because I'm going to hate waiting for new episodes every week.

Ikr, they make us deep in love since early episode, at first it kind of City Hunter 2.0 but it come out better, like the real action one with good stunts and understandable fact of social issues nowadays even 80s and 90s days, CH is more unreal still good though.

This drama is worthy to wait everyweek, it's holiday too. Complete one has no fun. No no no, we need you here earlier, not many to spazz if you come later

So why you like Chang Wook?

i'm from India..yeah i can open youtube videos...but already i'm gng crazy for waiting for next ep if i watch without subs i don't know wat ll happen  ...that kiss scene ll be really nice  ...

actually i'm db5k and jaejoong biased ...since jae went with jyj i support and lyk jyj... also jyj songs are to my liking ...i lyk yunho and changmin too but their songs are not to my liking...so i don't follow them as much as i follow jyj..

i ship ajummah with healer   i luv when ajummah always call him while he is eating

There's copyright issue too there? You can focus on how handsome Ji Chang Wook is when watching without sub, when the subs comeout usually we just focus at the sub. KISS SCENE PLEASE :ahmagah:  too early but accidently kiss can be :ahmagah: :ahmagah:

lol. They'll be weird couple  :chu:  From Soompi for you:

image-116.jpg

Are you ChangMin shipper too?

I see you have Changmin badge, I thought you support both DB2K and JYJ, so, it's just JYJ  Were you there when they split up? Do you think they will together again after 2016, when DBSK contract end? Btw, I like Junsu voice in JYJ-DBSK

[Drama] Ji Chang Wook grows in his acting through constant practice

wpid-20141219000357_0_99_20141219093605.

The secret behind actor Ji Chang Wook’s growth in his acting has been revealed.

Behind-the-scenes cuts of Ji Chang Wook, who has earned his seat as a dependable actor once again through the drama “Healerâ€, are drawing attention.

In the show, Ji Chang Wook puts the audience in awe through his passionate acting that transcends between the charismatic Healer with agile action skills and the feeble entertainment reporter Park Bong Su in every episode. Even when the camera is turned off, one can sense the source of his passion in the drama from the look of him being totally engrossed in practising as they travel from one place to another.

Ji Chang Wook, who shows unrivaled growth in his acting as an actor in his 20s and is filled with overwhelming passion, chooses “hard work†and “reading the script over ans over again†as his strengths and differentiating points. At various filming locations, he is either reading his script or having close interaction with the staff, showing his good personality and affection for the show and his character.

Moreover, Ji Chang Wook, who runs across rooftops and performs difficult action even in the sub-zero cold weather, does not show a look of tiredness and provides encouragement on set with his bright expression. Ji Chang Wook, who had been continuously exercising before the first filming, is recognised as an energizer, and makes people anticipate his performance even more.

A representative of Ji Chang Wook said, “As the weather gets colder, Ji Chang Wook is even more careful and focused when filming his action stunts. The teamwork between the actors and staff is good and we will likely be able to create even better scenes.â€

Actor Ji Chang Wook, a passionate guy who creates a 1% possibility with 99% hard work, can be seen in “Healer†every Monday and Tuesday on KBS at 10pm.

There's going to be a kiss scene this week?

I watched City Hunter long time ago and I forgot most of it. My finals are over so I'm most likely going to waste my break watching a lot of shows.

I really like Chang Wook's acting and he's also very attractive. I actually watched his previous drama, Empress Ki but I didn't finish it because I read a spoiler about the ending and wasn't so happy about it so I dropped it.

Our dirty mind just hope it'll happen :hurr:

And as far the spoiler is this:

Episode 5
22 December 2014, 10pm KST, KBS2

Ratings: -

“Meaning of Youâ€
With the appearance of Healer, Young Shin becomes the target of the Double S Guards. Min Ja warns Jung Hu not to start on anything.
Moon Ho hesitates about whether he should tell Myung Hee about Ji An, but ends up in a conflict with Moon Shik.
Young Shin goes to look for President Hwang in order to do a follow-up story about Joo Yeon Hee, bringing Jung Hu along with her.
But the Double S Guards have already been keeping watch there. Detective Yoon who was secretly trailing the Double S Guards is also there.

More action scene than kissing one, but SURPRISE US HEALER TEAM :megusta:

Yay! And spazz here too! I feel you, that time I barely had freetime but because JCW want watch it before I read that two main lead die... :rlytearpls: The only one of historical drama I ever watched until last ep just Sungkyunkwan Scandal, the happy ending one, most of historical drama is full of blood :rlytearpls:

i am caught up

i really like where this is going (i just think they need to change the background music for action scenes sometimes they take from it)

i felt so bad for him when his mom left him  :rlytearpls: he cares about her a lot. why wont she give him those pictures?

i ship Healer with food too bc Adjuma stops him every time. Healer with sweaters

i really like adjuma-healer interactions too they are so funny together ^^

What should we call the Healer- Young Shin? (they need a couple name lol)

Re-watching too during weekend!

Is it that bad? Why I like that background music :imstupid: ? Which action scene with poor rate of music you mean about? Sorry I blind if it come to music :D

There's something more. Maybe there's something that make the mom must left him and kept the thing kept in secret for her son safety. She's care about him, she even still remember that he hate red beans. But who knows, there are 16 more eps :ahmagah:

GOD I FORGOT WITH HIS OVERSIZE HOME SHIRT. Love it, thanks for you :D Ship this two too ;_;

IMG_2073_1.jpg

@HealerKdrama call them ChangMin (Chang Wook - Min Young)

But maybe we can use another option: JungShin (Jung Hoo - Young Shin), HooYoung, YoungHoo, JinHoo (Jin Ah? Junghoo), Im bad with it, what you think better?

This crack me up:

@nutellaforbap healer first drama, where a poor person has a simple phone not the latest galaxy one

@mufcfangirl

Yeah i ship ChanMin couple ...ajummah and healer s funny couple(i'm shipping them for fun  )

No.how can i not support my adorable leader and evil maknae   ...i like both Tvxq and JYJ but i prefer jyj songs..still i support tvxq too...

no i'm new to kpop ..i know db5k n late 2013 but i started to stan jaejoong and db5k n july2014...i don't know when will they be together but i would love to see their friendship again..many cassies know that it's impossible for them to stand on stage as tvxq as 5 so all we want is to see them smile at each other when they saw and restore their friendship..i think tvxq contracts have still 2 yrs so if they enlist next year it'll be 2018 0r 2019  ...junsu voice s heavenly voice ...btw i never asked who is ur bias group and bias idol

@nutella

omg u r killing me with all chag wook pictures and gifs

KEEP JUNGSHIN SHIP SAILING! :chu:  The hero and his girl, hope it doesn't end like most of hero story just to save the girl and the world, they must forever alone

Superalone.png

Maybe ahjumma fate belong to Detective Yoon, they seemed have past story as well :hurr:

What I see in them is just sexy performance two growing up man with boarder shoulder, HOW CAN YOU SAID THEY ADORABLE! Oooo... I thought all cassies came in 2000s . Did they plan it? Together in army to build the long lost chemistry so then come back together as a team (that's time TVXQ already disbanded), not as TVXQ but YJYJC. That'll sweet :rlytearpls:  Junsu has the best voice in kpop industry itself I think, although I know DB2K first :rlytearpls: My bias group is Man United  :datass:  And bias idol is Kyungsoo  :datass:  :datass:

haha ur fantasy s amazing  ...

somehow this drama remind me of city hunter just a little bit ..

that couple would nice too  ...

they are sexy and hot on stage...but if u saw them n variety shows and interviews they are cute and adorable...all the 5 are cute dorks...db5k itself debuted n 2003 how cassies ll be created n 2000s  ...i don't think they ll disband tvxq and personally i don't want   both groups doing good ..and also to yunho tvxq s very precious..but who knows ..omo u don't listen to kpop songs   ..do is adorable i lyked his acting n IOTL

You started it too btw, then let's go to Junghoo fantasy land, how can resist our fantasies if Changwook still exist :hurr:

Yeah, another action drama, but I thought the plot are so different while LMH be almost be villain there with revenge mind, here Healer as antisocial messenger. Can you enlighten me? I kinda forget :) The most different one is in PMY side, she acts really well here, in City Hunter she's kinda awkward, or maybe it's because LMH there who must be kissed :chu:  our A+ actor. This year JCW must be A+ too! Grab the trophy, boy!

DB2K is the one who introduced me to kpop world during Running Man eps 27 or 28 not quite remember but it's Keep Head Down promotion. THEY ARE SO HILARIOUS during drawing mission especially Uknow but it can't beat their 6 feet sexy body  :har:  so attractive, I can't, they love football too, I really can't. Later then the attractive Jaejoong in Protect the boss ruin my other day. He's so beautiful  :rlytearpls: . 2000s is the period from 2000 to 2009, it happened with HOT :) but SM really unpredictable and unforgivable who can't keep their artist in their comfort zone, really sad 2012 incident happen again this year  But again usually after their long contract end, they'll have yearly contract just like Kangta, but again and again who knows what SM will do  . I listen BoA and IU, and ofc EXO and other catchy song, but my blood is red, it's belong to Red Devil  :har:  Are you just listening JYJ-TVXQ or other idol too? Thank you for liking our son, please come to Kyungsoo thread too if you don't mind :D Yes, he's a squishy satan who worship his fans with his overload cuteness and eargasm voice :megusta:

Very sorry for long rambling :D

[Drama] “Healer†Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young share some skinship in a crisis

wpid-4fbdacd3736f372b54eef1d624c2e18b.jp

On the 22nd, photos of Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young in a dangerous situation in the drama “Healer†were released.

In the photos, Seo Jung Hu’ disguise as a clumsy rookie reporter Park Bong Su is no where to be seen, but Seo Jung Hu can be seen being alert and scanning the surroundings with his sharp gaze with Chae Young Shin wrapped in his arms.

In order to protect Young Shin, who convulses and has difficulty breathing whenever she sees violence, Jung Hu embraces her with his big hands, and one will be able to sense the tension in that situation.

wpid-n2014122209034571701.jpg?w=600

Besides, Jung Hu stares at Young Shin, who is in a critical condition, with his eyes filled with worry and a strong gaze, making audiences excited somewhat.

A representative of “Healer†said, “Tonight’s broadcast will show Jung Hu’s inner feelings towards Young Shin, which have not been revealed before. As the two of then move closer towards dangerous characters, the show is expected to become more exciting and interesting, so please anticipate it.â€

It ended with fight scene again :rlytearpls:  but funnier. lol

@mufcfangirl

omo u r not annoying :chu: ...i'll watch with eng sub later...i'll go crazy if i don't know what they are talking about  ...

in city hunter lmh is against his step dad for getting revenge by killing them...he s not bad person there...while healer is not directly bad person but steals or he gets the object the customer request illegally ...still we don't know anything n healer drama so i don't know whether injustice have been to chang wook...the reason i said it similar was in both drama there was a guy who s dying to catch or know abt leads(lmh/changwook)...but not entirely same..just little bit here and there...and well i don't like Lee minho but i lyk city hunter...and u r correct PMY acting s really good n this drama compared to city hunter ...

i found changmin sexier than yunho ...nowadays yunho s not showing his abs  ...Junsu is crazy football fan and also good player...yeah sm has history of treating their idols bad when they leave their company ..i don't follow DO...so i don't know what to talk about him n DO thread

Thank you, you're so kind :rlytearpls:

I thought he and the dad at first are villains, because the hatred risen although it against bad government. Sorry, I have bad memory :D The another diference, City Hunter kinda dark mellowdrama-action genre, Healer more bright because the amount comedy in it too much than the action one (even this episode the fight scene really hilarious! I can't stop laughing, although can't understand what they're saying. lol). Yay. If you like CH, Healer must be your liking too. Why you hate Lee Minho btw? He's so handsome ;_;

lol. That's cute. Yunho face is scarier, eventhough Changmin has delicous chocolate abs his face so cute, cheek and lips. lol. I saw Changmin abs from Xiumin insta update, they are so funny. Really? WOW I never know! Thanks. I'll look for his vid with after this. Almost all k-entertainment companies are unforgivable nowadays, treat their idol just like money maker, not human :rlytearpls:
We talked about everything there, weather, games, anime, other idols, other actors.  But still very sorry for that ;_;

i slept through the first half, watching now ^^(when the infinite amount of commercials end)

That's the cute of you. Btw thank you again for the link, that save my life, I open it since one hour before when Kim Jongkook there in such a variety show. There's 45s for 3 ads before the online tv runs and it'll loading fast if use full screen which I didn't know before, at first I used the smallest screen and it didn't work with my poor wifi. But surprisingly in full screen one no lag appeared! Thank you again :rlytearpls: We'll wait you tomorrow for live comment :chu:

THANK YOU FOR COMING /VERY DEEP BOW/ DON'T FORGET FOR TOMORROW EVENING :ahmagah:

Edit: because double post issue, although maybe mod never come in small thread ;_;

Healer: Episode 5

by javabeans | December 22, 2014

healer5-00466a.jpg

I didn’t expect to love any show for a while, and not this show specifically, but I TOTALLY LOVE THIS SHOW. What a great episode for all of the things that make this show so enjoyable—the action, the intrigue, the hilarious comic relief, the budding romance, and relationship development. What’s extra exciting for me is seeing that this isn’t just a love story about a cold-hearted guy having his heart melted by a nice Candy, but that it’s more about being fundamentally human than about falling in love. You can see the Healer having moments of realization and learning, and having his eyes opened in a new way, which make this (among other things) a story of damaged people in arrested development finding ways to move past their stunted pasts, coming of age and into themselves.

SONG OF THE DAY

Yael Meyer – “When You Hold Me Tight†from the Healer OST [ Download ]

EPISODE 5 RECAP

Cornered in an alley, Young-shin is dragged off by the SS thugs who are after actress-victim-source Yeon-hee. They leave behind the beaten “Bong-soo†(Jung-hoo), and with his Healer identity at risk, he briefly considers taking the opportunity to escape and wash his hands of the matter.

But he can’t, of course, and turns back to take down the goons. He covers Young-shin’s head to block out the violence—she’s gasping for air—and keeps his face covered as he fights, displaying quite the range of acrobatic maneuvers.

The lead SS gangster snaps a photo of Jung-hoo and wonders if this is the guy his boss is itching to find. Jung-hoo blocks his face, knocks the phone out of his hand, and momentarily gets his arm entangled in a yo-yo—that’s random—which the thug uses to jerk him around.

Jung-hoo works himself free, and then the sound of police sirens in the distance puts a premature end to the brawl. The SS thugs beat a hasty retreat.

All the while, Young-shin has been trembling and wheezing for breath, catching fleeting glimpses of Healer’s half-covered face. He puts his arms around her as she’s fumbling for pills, steadying her and taking the bottle. Keeping his voice to a whisper to avoid recognition, he asks how many she needs, then puts the pills in her hand.

Young-shin whirls around to get a look at him—and for the second time, he quickly grabs her close to prevent her from seeing his face, holding her head to his chest.

healer5-00047a.jpg

Slowly, the panic drains and she starts to nod off. Jung-hoo almost pats her comfortingly, but hears the approaching sirens, which are his sign to skedaddle. When the patrol cars arrive on the scene, Young-shin is alone.

Now she remembers Bong-soo, and hurries back to the alley, worried for his safety. The cop pesters her for an explanation but she’s fixated on finding Bong-soo, concerned that he’s injured or dead somewhere. Jung-hoo watches from above the alley with some exasperation, but is in no position to stop her.

He gets a call from sidekick Dae-yong, who reports on the uneventful activities of Moon-ho, whom she followed to his brother’s estate. Dae-yong pauses to wonder how on earth a reporter could afford such a luxurious life.

Inside the house, Moon-ho lightly broaches the topic of the bygone daughter, testing Myung-hee’s reaction. Clearly they’re used to dancing around the topic, but today he mentions Ji-an directly, wondering what she’d like or do if she were alive now. Myung-hee tenses and answers tightly, while Moon-ho suggests that she’d follow in her reporter parents’ footsteps. Omg I just want him to tell her tell her tell her; I can understand that he’s trying to tread lightly, but it also seems he’s dragging it out needlessly.

healer5-00098.jpg

Unfortunately he reads her wrongly, and Myung-hee’s resulting outburst rapidly escalates. She cries that Ji-an is dead, and that it would be the worst injustice if she were alive and her mother had blithely lived a comfortable life while the child had to grow up motherless.

Moon-ho realizes he’s miscalculated and begs her to calm down, but Myung-hee starts convulsing in a fit of rage, eyes bulging and body seizing up frighteningly. Hyung Moon-shik arrives and takes over, shooting his brother a furious glare. Moon-ho apologizes weakly for saying the wrong thing, but also shoots a resentful look back at hyung.

Outside, Dae-yong sneaks onto the property to get a closer look at Moon-ho. He’s outside thinking heavy thoughts of his encounter with Young-shin, which we see in flashback: He asks to take over her story, warning of the dangers of going it alone, which doesn’t go over well.

Young-shin is disillusioned with the request from her (former) hero, rattling off a list of important stories he broke about corrupt officials—then asks suspiciously if those were in fact his own work, and not stolen credits. Rather than launching into a defense, Moon-ho just tells her to find him if she finds that her story becomes too much to handle. She takes his card with a bittersweet laugh, saying that she’d once dreamed of receiving his card personally, shooting him a glare. But Moon-ho is just struck with Young-shin’s way of speaking and looking at him—it’s just like Myung-hee.

Moon-shik asks what he’d said to put Myung-hee into such a state. She’s been fine lately, going months without an outburst. What caused today’s incident?

Moon-ho says that he received a call two months ago about needing to move Ji-an’s grave, which has hyung tensing immediately. Ji-an’s coffin was empty, save for a few rocks, and hyung was the one responsible for Ji-an’s burial. So Moon-ho asks point-blank, “Did Ji-an really die? Or did you lie to noona that a child who’s alive was dead?â€

Moon-shik doesn’t bat an eye and says that Ji-an is dead. He adds warningly that it was difficult to get Myung-hee to accept that truth, and that it would be terrible to change that: “So Ji-an cannot be alive.â€

Moon-ho gets a wild look in his eyes as he presses, “If that girl were alive, are you saying you’d kill her? Is that what you did twenty-three years ago? And is that how you took care of Gil-han hyung [Ji-an’s father] too?â€

healer5-00194.jpg

Moon-ho asks if the “accident†was really an accident, and Moon-shik replies, “What would you do if you knew the truth? Would anything change if you went from not knowing to finding out? There’s nothing you can do.â€

Moon-ho slams his hand down on the desk. “What did you do to those people?†he growls. Moon-shik replies calmly, “Exactly what you think.â€

Moon-shik then goes over to the bookcase and pulls out a familiar volume—the one Moon-ho snuck a spycam into. Ah, crap, he knows. Hyung admits readily that Moon-know is aware of everything that transpired in this office. “But you’ve done nothing about it,†he says. “Nor have you ever stopped me. Or reported me to the police. Or reported it in your news.â€

Moon-ho says it’s because it wouldn’t have made a difference, but his brother points out, “That means you’re on the same side as me.†Oh no, you’re pointing out his fatal flaw: the crime of complicity. “Both you and I, from 1992 till now, are on the same side. Are you still unable to acknowledge that?â€

Ajumma Min-ja hacks into the Healer’s system, as per usual, and suggests a chat to go over their current circumstances. The SS guards have likely guessed that the Healer was at the scene, and their boss, Sang-soo, is probably figuring out what to do with his link to Young-shin.

Jung-hoo admits that he was crazy for getting involved. The question at hand: What will Sang-soo do next?

healer5-00223.jpg

At the SS headquarters, things unfold as predicted: Sang-soo hears that the Healer’s relationship to Young-shin looked “special,†and is intrigued to hear that she’s the reporter who wrote that article. They’ll have to investigate her more thoroughly.

Min-ja decides that the best course of action is for Jung-hoo to stay far, far away from Young-shin. Is she stating the obvious or working some reverse psychology? Because I’m pretty sure every time she’s come to a conclusion, Jung-hoo has done the exact opposite. Min-ja argues that he shouldn’t so much as look in Young-shin’s direction with SS bound to be digging deep into her background.

Jung-hoo asks if SS has an ethical line in carrying out their jobs, wondering if they go so far as to torture, for instance, in fulfilling a task. He says “totally hypothetically†(ha) that if he stays away and they never see the Healer around Young-shin, they’ll get more aggressive in pressing her for information. They wouldn’t kidnap or torture her… would they?

Min-ja’s jaw drops open as she picks up on the words that aren’t said, and asks, “Healer-ya, is she that pretty to you?†He chokes on his beer, but I notice he’s not exactly hopping with defenses, and she just barks at him to not do anything.

But her reaction has him thinking, and Jung-hoo tries to pinpoint what it is about Young-shin. He explains that most people see animals as animals—not as things to be thought of as pretty or not. And that’s how he sees all people: “They’re all the same to me. But… among all those people who look the same, she’s a little different.â€

He likens her to a leopard he’d seen in a documentary once, which came upon a pack of hyenas while its leg was broken. It was obvious it would lose the fight, but the leopard had attacked first and refused to back off.

He thinks of Young-shin fighting him in the bathroom, and how she’d told him to run away from the gangsters while she stayed. “It’s not that she was ignorant of fear,†he muses. “She was brave even though she knew how scared she was.†(Haha, and then he admits that the leopard documentary made him bawl, and that “even thinking of it now makes me well up.â€)

But in any case, he says that running or hiding isn’t his style either. He notes that when wild animals face off, the one who shows its fear first loses. “So if there’s somebody out to get me, I should attack first, before my weak side is revealed. That’s how you survive in the animal kingdom.â€

healer5-00288.jpg

Meanwhile, the cyber crimes cops are also on the case: Detective Yoon and his cop buddy stake out the SS headquarters and note the various characters hanging around the joint, which includes right-hand man Yo-Yo, which apparently is actually his nickname. I enjoy the fact that Detective Yoon projects this air of being the know-it-all veteran who’s been tracking them for years, which his partner takes down with one pithy observation about how he hasn’t gotten very far at all.

Sang-soo informs Moon-shik about the connection between the reporter and the Healer, feeling quite proud of himself for the breakthrough. But Moon-shik tells him not to worry about making any decisions of his own. Sang-soo promises to take care of the Healer quickly, having fixed on a way to draw him out.

healer5-00295.jpg

Moon-shik’s secretary says that they’ve taken the steps to cover up the assemblyman-prostitution story, but there’s no way of getting it perfectly covered up. Moon-shik isn’t worried, though, because the adversaries are small and powerless, incapable of banding together and actually doing anything effective against him.

Then Moon-shik chuckles over the name Healer, calling it quite familiar… “from way back.†Ohhh. Is Jung-hoo not the original Healer?

healer5-00310.jpg healer5-00340.jpg

Young-shin is pretty sure that her mysterious rescuer was the Healer, and eyes the photo on her wall from all angles, as though she might get a better view of his face. But she doesn’t know why he’d help her.

Yeon-hee informs her that somebody’s waiting for her outside… and we cut outside to the park bench, where Jung-hoo (er, “Bong-sooâ€) is curled up sleeping like a homeless person. Aw. Pickpocket Ajusshi finds him and brings him inside, and Jung-hoo whimpers to Young-shin that he’s sorry for running away first.

Which explains why Dad’s glaring at him with arms crossed while Jung-hoo admits to being scared and helpless. At least Young-shin described him as getting absolutely thrashed, which earns him a few sympathy points.

healer5-00366.jpg

Contrary to being angry at him for ditching her, Young-shin is so grateful that he called the cops and is safe that she swoops him up in a bear hug, even saying that she’s proud of him. The three men’s reactions are pretty priceless. Then she tends to his scraped hand, and Dad complains that she’s fussing over him for much longer than seemly, which is adorable.

He’s invited to breakfast, and Jung-hoo pauses to note the potato dish on the table—it’s one of three things Young-shin can cook, and it’s also the favorite dish his mother prepared before abandoning him. You get the sense it’s been ages since he’s eaten with company, and he’s rather awkward about it, in a heart-pinching way.

healer5-00417.jpg

At the ABS offices, Moon-ho directs his team into finding out more about the assemblyman story, starting with the angle of President Hwang (aka our pimp). But he’s once again flouting his boss, and Min-jae informs him that a different team has been assigned this story. She assigns him to a different one which’ll conveniently require him to travel out of the country, a distraction tactic so transparent that he calls her on it.

He explains that his noona always decorates her dinners with extra touches—flowers and garnishes—and asks her to consider his contribution as those decorations. All the stations will be sending out similar reports, so his will add a different angle. Can’t she do that?

Min-jae remains firm, so Moon-ho takes the sleeve from her coffee cup and starts to write something on it. He slides over the sleeve to her, and only after he’s gone does she read what he’s scrawled on it—his resignation.

At the Someday News office, Young-shin swears to her peeved editor never to go rogue again. Editor Jang snaps at her, pointing out that her article has disappeared from the search engine lists—if she writes a story that nobody cares about, it’s not a news exclusive, it’s just trash. Furthermore, they’ve been served with a notice of lawsuit for defamation by the offices of Assemblyman Kim.

Editor Jang gives her two options. Young-shin says she can’t resign, so he tells her to do the other one: “Do a proper job of it.â€

Everyone gapes at him in shock, and he adds, “Either write articles, or find evidence to put forth at the trial. Dig and find something really solid. That’s how we can survive.†Awww, righteous reporter man isn’t entirely dead!

healer5-00470.jpg

From the copy room, Jung-hoo tries to get pissy ajumma to talk to him, pouring on the aegyo—he calls her noona, then Min-ja sshi, and finally, yeobo. It’s pretty awesome, and at least that gets her to talk, even if only to call him a loon. Grumpy Min-ja warns him that she’s going to abandon him the instant he’s caught by police or sent to prison.

She asks if he means to keep up the Superman act, and he actually wonders which hero Superman was, being famously out of touch with the world. (“There are lots of -men! Which -man was he?â€)

Jung-hoo tells Min-ja about a photograph he sent her, and describes two of the 1980 friends as “my father and Teacher.†He asks her to find out who the other three are, because while it would be easiest to just ask Teacher, “that old fogey†is out of contact.

Young-shin bursts in, interrupting his call, and drags him off on assignment.

Min-ja sends that photo on to that Old Fogey Teacher, who turns out to be the motorcycle-riding friend of the 1980 quintet. Min-ja explains that “your student†is starting to ask about Teacher’s friends—what should she do?

Furthermore, she warns that the student doesn’t seem aware of it yet, but his work and life are about to be confused because of a woman… and that if he can’t pull himself together soon, a “change†may be in order. Does Teacher have any kids in training who could take over as Healer?

Young-shin tasks Jung-hoo with playing chauffeur and spends the car ride singing (Tashannie’s “

“), to his discomfort. He asks about her singing habit, and she explains that she doesn’t sing any song, but only classics. This is a song she sings on certain occasions, like when she’s super happy… or nervous and restless, like now.

They’re on their way to meet President Hwang, albeit without a clear plan on how to actually get to him. You get the sense she’s winging this, and she’s tamping down visible nerves at the thought.

As they drive up toward President Hwang’s place, Jung-hoo notices the cop car that’s on stakeout nearby, and then they spot the whole army of SS guards standing watch in front of the house. Panicky Young-shin issues a series of contradictory orders—drive past, no stop here, no turn around to strategize…

The choice is taken away when boss-man Sang-soo drives up and cuts off their path, and the rest of the SS guards swarm around the car, blocking them in. So they’re “escorted†in to meet President Hwang in his greenhouse, and Young-shin is introduced as that reporter who’d made life troublesome for him.

President Hwang leers at her mockingly, saying that he likes her spunk and would be happy to manage her as one of his “talents.†Young-shin admirably puts on a brave front despite obviously being terrified, while Jung-hoo wrestles with his need to maintain his cowardly image while wanting to step in and do something. I love the moment when you can see him decide to hell with it and step close to get Hwang to back off, but Young-shin beats him to it and manages fine on her own, shaking off his unwelcome arm.

President Hwang is seething underneath the laughing exterior, though, and refers to the accusations Yeon-hee leveled against him, like forcing her into prostitution and beating her. He grabs some branches out of a case and whirls on his female companion, thrashing her with it and then kicking her repeatedly, demanding, “You mean beating like this, huh?!â€

Young-shin seizes up in shock and Jung-hoo quickly blocks her view, but we can hear the sickening thuds as Hwang continues his assault while the woman screams from the ground. Playing the part of the scared rookie, Jung-hoo pleads with Young-shin to run away because he’s scared, but she’s already starting to retreat into her mind—and we see glimpses of her childhood trauma flashing before her eyes, interspersing with Hwang’s violence.

Hwang throws his actress on the ground by her hair, and Young-shin sees her childhood self being flung to a bed. He grabs a golf club and starts smashing vases; Young-shin sees her attacker slamming a metal pole into the door. Child Young-shin walks down a highway at night crying for her mother, which must be the time she’d attempted suicide, which really doesn’t bode well for her state of mind in the present.

healer5-00656.jpg

So Jung-hoo draws Young-shin close and whispers into his watch transmitter—he gives Dae-yong the signal to do “it†now. Despite protesting that there are way too many baddies around, she complies and sets the plan into motion.

Moments later, a gang of bikers zoom up to wreak havoc on the SS guards outside, pelting them with water guns and flour bombs and generally being a menace with petty vandalism. In the chaos, Dae-yong leaps into Sang-soo’s car, hooks it up to her phone, and has ajumma hack her way into the car’s system. Ha, the thugs can’t see her inside the car and freak out, thinking the car is haunted, and put in a panicked call to the boss inside about his car being possessed by ghosts. LOL.

healer5-00687.jpg healer5-00675.jpg

It gets Sang-soo to leave the greenhouse with most of his guards (what does it say that Hwang is so brutal that even Sang-soo looks put off by the violence?), and Jung-hoo quickly sizes up the situation. He’s not wearing his super-spiffy Healer glasses but he eyes the props around the greenhouse with the same kind of analytical precision, biding his time to unleash some havoc of his own.

Young-shin’s mental state is veering into a precarious state, and then Hwang shoves Jung-hoo aside to kneel before her. He laughs that a reporter should only write about things she’s experienced firsthand, and taunts her to say something.

Despite the trembling and the traumatic flashbacks, Young-shin musters her nerve and stutters at him with full disdain, “Y-you’re t-trash, not even worthy of r-recycling. Utter trash.â€

That spikes Hwang’s rage, and that’s Jung-hoo’s cue to act: He kicks over a beam, which knocks down a shelf, which sends vases crashing in succession like dominoes… Powder goes flying everywhere, acting as a cloud cover, and everyone scrambles to grab their bearings.

Young-shin finds Jung-hoo and checks that he’s okay. He feigns cowardice and begs her to save him, and she takes command of the situation, telling him to follow her.

She grabs his hand and leads him out of the greenhouse, and as they run, Jung-hoo sneaks a look at her and smiles.

Healer: Episode 6

by javabeans | December 23, 2014

Adorable. I feel like a giddy teenage girl watching this show, in all the best ways (squee!) minus the worst ways (you know, the mean girls and crushing insecurities and parents who just don’t get you), which makes it pretty much awesomely entertaining. I thought we’d had our story well in place, but we get a new game-changer that shifts relationships and setups around, and makes me itch to see how things will play out from here. Why are there only two episodes a week?

EPISODE 6 RECAP

healer6-00038.jpg

Young-shin stands up to the thoroughly repulsive President Hwang, just as Jung-hoo knocks over a beam in the greenhouse that unleashes a chain reaction of chaos. While he whimpers in a show of fear, Young-shin leads him out to safety, where they duck out of sight of pursuing thugs.

She takes control of the situation, assessing the hectic scene outside as Boss Sang-soo and his SS minions try to stop his rampaging car. I love that Sang-soo orders them not to hurt his precious car while trying to keep it from running them over. Priorities, man.

Young-shin instructs Jung-hoo to make a break for their car, and he timidly agrees. Then the instant she’s off, his wimpy act turns into cool professionalism as he calls over to Dae-yong (who’s manning the “possessed†car) and tells her to call her biker gang off. While the gangsters are distracted, they slip into their car and manage to screech off before they’re stopped.

The two detectives are still camped out in their car in front, and Detective Yoon watches with hilarious bemusement as a succession of cars comes zooming by: first it’s the rogue car, followed by Sang-soo in pursuit, followed by Young-shin and Jung-hoo making their getaway. Those two screech to a halt and Jung-hoo beelines for Detective Yoon, begging him to take them to the police to report the scary gangster men.

He doubles over with feigned gagging and takes note of the handcuffs in the detective’s back pocket, just as the SS thugs come running up, ready to beat down the escapees. They disregard the two plainclothes cops until Yo-Yo joins them, and apparently he and Detective Yoon go way back. So the detective introduces himself and is ready to hear Jung-hoo’s report—only they look around and he’s gone. His partner feels his pockets and realizes his handcuffs are missing.

healer6-00106.jpg

Next thing we know, Jung-hoo’s racing along a rooftop in full Healer mode, leaping impressively from building to building. He directs Dae-yong to a meeting location and she, still joyriding in Sang-soo’s car, heads there while fending off Sang-soo’s enraged attempts to pull her over.

Sang-soo does succeed in forcing her to stop by intercepting her with his car, and since he’s still got his keys, he forces open the door. Dae-yong scrambles to get away, but he grabs her firmly and demands to know who she is. She keeps her face hidden while swearing at Jung-hoo for taking so long—which is his cue to come flying at them, taking over in this fight.

healer6-00155.jpg

Jung-hoo easily gets the upper hand and then handcuffs Sang-soo to his own steering wheel, leaving him doubled over in a comically awkward position while he settles back for a little chat. Sang-soo asks about his relationship to Young-shin, and Jung-hoo says that he was using her as bait to get to Sang-soo. Aha, smart! He says he’d been watching Sang-soo and noted his interest in the reporter, and therefore figured to use her as a way to arrange this private tête-à-tête. (Sang-soo blusters, You could have just come to the office!)

Jung-hoo fishes around for Sang-soo’s cell phone (making ticklish Sang-soo giggle inadvertently) and coerces him into giving up the unlock code. Sang-soo initially refuses, but all it takes is one photo of him cuffed to his car and a threat to post it to his homepage for all his underlings to see, and he gives it up. I get a kick out of how a desperate Sang-soo takes issue to Healer’s underhanded methods of blackmail and threatening, as though he weren’t in the very same business. Hee, Sang-soo’s really growing on me.

Jung-hoo is only interested in the special VIP phone that only lists one contact (“ownerâ€) and takes a listen to a recorded calls, wherein Moon-shik orders Sang-soo to “take care of†the Healer. He’s got a hunch who Owner is and shows a photograph of the two brothers, asking which it is. If he doesn’t spill the information willingly, well, Healer can always call Owner directly and explain the whole part where Sang-soo failed his task embarrassingly.

Meanwhile, Dad and Yeon-hee arrive at the police station, where more SS guards are stationed to await them. They call in to Moon-shik, who also arranges for a fresh wave of news to hit the internet today.

Young-shin gives her statement to Detective Yoon, explaining about her attempted kidnapping and today’s encounter with President Hwang. She names Jung-hoo as a witness, which makes the detective laugh a little since he’s such a scaredy-cat, and Young-shin admits a bit sheepishly that he has a habit of running in fear.

Detective Yoon asks if she knows who Go Sung-chul is, which is a new name to her, and also informs her that she—and her paper, and Yeon-hee—have now been hit with a lawsuit by President Hwang.

She sputters in indignation and hits the web immediately, and finds a fresh spate of smear-job articles painting Yeon-hee as a gold-digging con artist who seduces powerful people as part of her swindle.

Yeon-hee and Dad are thoroughly ignored by the police, who leave them waiting for ages. Finally one arrives to take her statement, and it’s then that they hear that there’s a warrant out for her arrest. Dad protests that they’re here as the victim, but the officer just says they’ll have to take care of that alongside the other interrogation.

Dad’s too preoccupied to take Young-shin’s call, and she briefly considers calling Moon-ho for help. She dismisses the idea, but the situation is dire and she reconsiders. Aghhh, I love the look on his face when he hears her voice on the line, like it means so much.

She asks if he’d be able to broadcast her information properly if she gave him access to all of it—Yeon-hee’s testimony, her hospital records, her text messages from President Hwang. She admits that the video she’d mentioned in her article doesn’t actually exist, and says that she has no power and her paper is tiny and weak. But he’s part of a huge outlet with lots of resources—surely he can make something of it.

Moon-ho shares some disheartening truths about how his broadcaster just buries any story it doesn’t like, pumping out trash instead—because people enjoy trash more than truth. He asks, “Even when nobody wants to know that truth, do you still want to make it known?†She gets increasingly agitated, but he continues, asking why she doesn’t just ditch the story now.

Young-shin barks at him that she just wants to know if he will report the story or not, and that she’ll put her name on it if he doesn’t want to bear the brunt of the backlash. Moon-ho’s face takes on this interestingly twisted look—he’s excited and interested, but it’s not clear exactly what drives it.

healer6-00268.jpg

Dad and Yeon-hee leave the station in nervous spirits, and he tries to assure her that he’ll confer with other lawyers to help them fight this. Young-shin arrives outside the station just as they’re stepping outside, about to be ambushed by the group of reporters that’s convened outside smelling a story.

But Yeon-hee is recognized and swarmed with cameras shoved in her face, looking like a deer in headlights. Reporters barrage her with questions, and Young-shin and Dad do their best to run interference while Yeon-hee looks shell-shocked.

Moon-ho arrives at his apartment to find Min-jae waiting at his door. While he puts together dinner, she tells him that the Yeon-hee story has taken a different shape—now it’s about scam artists who seduce and then blackmail their rich targets. Yeon-hee’s also accused of conspiring with a reporter to demand millions from an upstanding political figure. Guh, gag me with a spoon already.

healer6-00248.jpg

In a tellingly casual-but-totally-probing way, Min-jae mentions “the first woman in your heart,†which he says she ought to have forgotten; he’d said them long ago, and seems sorry for hurting her with them.

She points out that no woman would forget comments like that, then reminds him that they dated starting from the time they joined the company together. She’d waited for ages and finally proposed when he never said a word… and his response was that there was a “first woman†already in his heart, and that Min-jae could only be second—could she be okay with that? She wasn’t, which explains why they’re no longer together.

They toast to his resignation, and she asks what he means to do now. Moon-ho says there’s a promising kid he’d like to develop, and he plans to teach the basics and asks if Min-jae will take her on.

Min-jae says he could just have her go through the proper channels at the station, but he points out that she refused to let him work on the Yeon-hee story, and he his protégé’s development necessitates that story. She asks why he wants her to take on the protégé later—what’ll he be doing then? He doesn’t answer, which I find unsettling.

Min-jae’s pretty sharp at reading between the lines and asks who this kid is and what she has to do with his first woman. She’s embarrassed at herself for being upset, and he tells her earnestly that he owes that girl a huge debt. Min-jae asks, “After it’s repaid, will the number one slot in your heart open up?â€

He says that that’s his wish. And after the debt is clear, he means to leave far away: “Maybe Alaska, or Africa. Someplace really cold or really hot. I’ve lived too lukewarmly till now.â€

A puzzled delivery boy arrives at the Healer’s abandoned building and follows a series of instructions to leave food at a drop-off point. That’s where Jung-hoo picks up his order, and something tickles his Spidey sense as he looks sharply down the empty hallway. But there’s nothing, and he continues on toward his lair…

At which point a man drops into frame from his hiding spot above, silently and stealthily. Aha, are you Old Fogey Teacher?

Jung-hoo checks his surveillance monitors and is satisfied with what he sees, then calls Min-ja, only to get her voicemail. He’s confused at her being out of touch all day, and also horrified at the super aegyo message that greets the call, which demands that her caller sign off with a cutesy I love youuuuuu~!

healer6-00317.jpg

He leaves a message speculating that the person who ordered him killed has to be Moon-shik, which makes sense if you figure that he had Go Sung-chul hand over a file, killed him, then wanted Healer also killed to cover his tracks.

It turns out that ajumma’s right there listening to the call, purposely ignoring it while she talks to Teacher. She points out that Jung-hoo’s well on his way to finding out the truth with no help from her, and soon he’ll know that his father was friends with Moon-shik.

Teacher makes sure that Min-ja has tampered with Jung-hoo’s cameras, and we see that he’s out there in the hallway. He wonders how much Jung-hoo will find out, and she points out that it won’t take long, and that all he has to do is check the news stories to find out that his father killed his friend over money, and committed suicide when he was taken in for police interrogation.

healer6-00331.jpg healer6-00332.jpg

Ah, and then he calls Min-ja “detective,†which explains a few things, like how she knows Detective Yoon and where she picked up her hacking skills (since Yoon is part of the cyber crimes department). Teacher worries about Jung-hoo’s reaction to finding out about his father, sighing over his dream to run away to a deserted island. But Min-ja points out that Jung-hoo has never once abandoned somebody—because it was always the other person abandoning him. Father, mother, grandmother, and even Teacher.

Jung-hoo’s civilian phone pings with a text from Young-shin, which he ignores. It’s followed by a swear-filled text scolding him for ignoring her, which makes him pause for a moment before running away earlier and then ignoring her. Then another message comes in, and she worriedly checks to make sure that he’s okay, asking him to call her to confirm. It ends on a morose “I feel like dying right now.â€

Jung-hoo doesn’t reply, but he re-reads her texts with amusement, laughing at her funny word choices. But he lingers on her last line, pondering her meaning.

Over at the Chae household, the mood is decidedly grim as Dad goes over the case. Yeon-hee’s badly shaken and Young-shin feels pretty low, as things do not look good at all for them. The stories cite Yeon-hee’s blackmail demand for 3 billion won, and Dad asks if that number ever came up. Yeon-hee recalls with a sinking heart that once he’d asked if she’d go along for 30 million won, and she’d retorted that money wasn’t the issue and sarcastically said that he should try giving her 3 billion. President Hwang must’ve recorded the conversation.

She steps aside to take a call, and is simultaneously scolding and relieved to hear Jung-hoo on the line. He explains that he felt sick earlier and vomited and fell asleep, sounding embarrassed and apologetic. Young-shin tells him matter-of-factly not to feel ashamed, and then confides that she has a similar condition where she finds it hard to breathe. But she says it’s not something to be embarrassed about—it’s only an inconvenience.

We see that he’s calling from nearby, watching her from his usual perch across the way. There’s a running joke that always makes me smile, as Jung-hoo once again forgets to talk “up†to her in jondae and Young-shin once again catches him at it. Usually he stammers an excuse or pretends she misheard him, but today he just continues in banmal and she lets it slide.

He asks about her comment about wanting to die, and she sighs that it’s a long story. He says he’s fine to hear it, and she explains about the pickle she’s gotten herself into with the article, and how the press has painted her in the bad light. As he listens, Jung-hoo leaps down from the second story and walks closer to her as she complains about Kim Moon-ho and how she had to swallow her pride to talk to him, only to have him distancing himself.

He gets close enough to see her face as she answers his questions about how famous Moon-ho is, and she admits that she’d liked Moon-ho quite a lot: “He was my idol and my first love and my longtime one-sided crush.â€

healer6-00423.jpg

She tells him about the poster she’d pinned in her room of him, and how beginning last year, she’d been “two-timing†him with another one-sided crush.

Jung-hoo asks who that other guy is, and she just says he wouldn’t know even if she told him: “He’s a nighttime errand boy.†Omo. That look on his face.

He stutters that he doesn’t know what that is, and she tells him that this guy is super famous in his world. She supposes that the rumors of his skills are probably exaggerated, “But he made my heart pound, and fantasize about him. That’s how One-Sided Crush Number 2 began.â€

healer6-00416.jpg

He already looks like his brain is going to explode trying to process this—especially when he can see just how giddy this talk makes her—but she has even more to add. She says that she figured she’d never get to meet him, but she’s pretty sure she ended up doing just that. She didn’t get to see his face, “But that feeling…â€

Young-shin gets bashful and repeats, “That feeling…†And then she laughs in embarrassment and resumes her normal tone to tell him that he’s strange, and oddly comfortable to her. Oh, he smiles at that.

And then she adds, “Like… we’re sisters?†HAHAHA. He shoots her this incredulous look, sputtering after she hangs up and heads back inside the house. “Sisters?!â€

 healer6-00443.jpg

Moon-shik takes a secret meeting with Assemblyman Kim at a bar, but curiously, it’s the elderly bartender to whom he defers. The Bartender is clearly some high-up figure, and the whole time that he speaks pleasantries with Moon-shik, Assemblyman Kim cowers miserably, knowing he’s in the hot seat. And the Bartender’s smooth, gentle voice has an undercurrent of sternness that make him an ominous figure.

The Bartender points out that there are certain lines that must not be crossed, which Assemblyman Kim did not observe, and that a lot of people worked very hard to make him mayoral candidate. It’s quite troublesome to have all that work go down the drain over one woman, isn’t it?

Assemblyman Kim begs for another chance. The Bartender does not look particularly forgiving.

healer6-00463.jpg

Moon-shik goes home that night and assists Myung-hee to bed, assuring her lovingly that he never gets tired of looking after her. She asks about his day, and he says that he met yet more sorry types who guard their greed like bugs and their eggs, and wondered again whether the country would be okay left in hands like those.

Myung-hee remarks on how much he’s changed since he was a timid, reticent university student. These days, he’s more like Merlin, the wise and crafty wizard behind King Arthur. She asks, “Do you perhaps want to be King Arthur rather than Merlin?†He’s grown more powerful over the past twenty years: “Do you still feel lacking?â€

Moon-shik tells her that he hasn’t changed from his younger days. He may have only been the driver while the others were off in pursuit of justice, “But I still did it. Saying that what’s not right isn’t right. I still want to do that. But in order to do that, I’ve learned that I need power, that’s all.â€

She accepts that and apologizes for quibbling, but he’s not offended.

The next morning, Editor Jang is a mess of nerves waiting for a call from his boss, who’d promised to send over an attorney who hasn’t arrived yet. But he’s in for a bigger shock when Moon-ho arrives at the office, and the mere sight of him has they staff speechless and star-struck.

Editor Jang guesses that he’s here to do research on the Yeon-hee story, as in interview them for his news station, but his jaw drops when Moon-ho says, “I look forward to working with you.†Ohhhh. You mean you quit your fancy job at the TV station to work here? That’s awesome.

Young-shin arrives in the lobby a few steps behind Jung-hoo and playfully sneaks up on him, then wonders at the movers who’ve just arrived. They arrive at the office just as Moon-ho is familiarizing himself with the layout while Editor Jang scratches his head in confusion. Upon Young-shin’s arrival, Moon-ho announces that he will be creating a new video department, which will require more space and crew for a camera and editing team.

healer6-00505.jpg

He talks about buying another floor of the building like it’s nothing (to be fair, to him it IS nothing), and just as Editor Jang is trying to explain to him how they operate, he gets a call from the paper’s owner… who has just sold this building. And the paper. Heads swivel to look at Moon-ho, whose presence suddenly makes a lot more sense.

Moon-ho tells Young-shin that she’ll be very busy from here on out, rapping her on the head and telling her to call home—she won’t be there for a few days. He smiles at her, Young-shin gapes at him, and Jung-hoo… well, he does not look happy.

[Drama] Hardworking actor Ji Chang Wook showcases passionate action scenes in “Healerâ€

1419312083-32-org.jpg?w=600&h=480

Actor Ji Chang Wook’s swift transformation ability has been the topic of much discussion.

In the drama “Healerâ€, the active Ji Chang Wook is earning warm reception for his passionate acting with his gaze in an instant that makes the heart race.

In the drama, Ji Chang Wook shows the beauty of thrilling contrasts by playing the genius night messenger Seo Jung Hu and the innocent entertainment reporter Park Bong Su. There is now heightened interest in Ji Chang Wook as he encompasses both the charms of the Healer, whom you want to lean on, and Bong Su, who makes you naturally want to protect him.

Especially at the end of episode 5, he captures attention with the sight of him analysing the situation with a composed look in his eyes as he embraced Chae Young Shin, who was in a panic from the fright because of President Hwang’s act of violence. Although he looked like a pathetic Bong Su on the surface, his appearance as the charismatic Healer with a sharp gaze heightens the tension.

In the photos, Ji Chang Wook can be seen coordinating with other actors and the wire and practising hard. Even under sub-zero temperatures, one can see his seriousness and passion put into completing unique action scenes for the drama.

Moreover, stunt director Jung Du Hong who is directing Ji Chang Wook’s action scenes had praised him, saying “he has a natural talent for action that does not pale in comparison to other actors who specialise in actionâ€, increasing excitement for Ji Chang Wook’s style of action that will be shown in the future.

A representative of Ji Chang Wook said, “There are many action scenes that are of high difficulty, but Ji Chang Wook always places safety as his priority and he is focused even during practice, as though he is doing the actual filming. He is also enjoying it personally and he also works very well with Director Jung Du Hong, so you can look forward to more awesome scenes.â€

[Drama] Seeing double with two Healers

eca09cebaaa9-ec9786ec9d8c3.jpg?w=600&h=5

The original “Healer†Oh Gwang Rok has made his appearance.

The production team of “Healer†released photos showing the 100% synchronised action of the current Healer Seo Jung Hu (played by Ji Chang Wook) and the original Healer (played by Oh Gwang Rok).

In the pictures, the identical-looking images of  Ji Chang Wook and Oh Gwang Rok catch the eye. They both show a perfectly synchronised look with Healer’s trademark inconspicuous black outfit and use of gadgets. Their sharp gaze as they spy on someone and their pose as they hide secretly behind a wall show the similarity between master and student, drawing laughter.

In episode 5, Ki Young Jae who appeared only with his voice, is one of the five friends who ran the illegal radio station, and he is the teacher who handed over the code name Healer and the messenger job to Jung Hu.

Besides that, Ki Young Jae is a character who bears direct relation to the secret of the incident that happened in 1992 which connects Jung Hu, Young Shin and Moon Ho, and he is also connected to Jung Hu’s past which is still shrouded in mystery. Hence, Ki Young Jae’s appearance has increased audience’s anticipation for the show.

1419318206-71-org.jpg?w=600&h=441

He is expected to make his first proper appearance in episode 6, raising interest among viewers as to whether the secret of the 1992 incident and the story of the parents’ generation will be revealed.
