[+2542, -76] I thought she was just having a happy time... be strong!!

[+2766, -54] Stay strong Lee Guk Joo!!! I'm supporting you

[+1464, -51] I like looking at her success and hope it is long lasting!!!!!

[+1287, -48] Don't cryㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ♡hwaiting

[+289, -12] To wear the crown, you have to hold the weight

[+256, -18] To Lee Guk Joo's agency: please lessen her schedules. What is it with our country and milking their artists when they're popular so are all the so-called famous artists supposed to die?

Why don't you translate the whole article instead of just the title and comments?

You learn Korean and translate it, tf? This is the typical format followed by sites than translate Korean popular culture news.

Learning Korean to read an article is a very stupid and impractical idea. Also why would anybody want to have the comments to an article translated when they do not even know the content of the article? Being 'typical' doesn't mean that it is good or that it should be accepted~  :hoplz:

I always wish that I could read the whole article. I don't know the content, so I'm always confused by the comments ;;

To be honest the title says everything, hence why I didn't translate the article. It literally just explains what she said which is what is quoted in the title... plus you could know what she said after watching Roommate (it's regularly subbed, yes?) Sorry for confusing you^^

Oh no! You did a lot! Translating is really time consuming. I just wish I knew more, you know? The title says a little, but I'm curious (but not nearly curious enough to watch an episode from the second season of roommate, which I found inferior to the first season). Thank you for your hard work :)

After mama,  some comments about her weight were disgusting.

she actively participates in making fun of her own body publicly.. that's her gag.. which makes ppl think it's ok to leave those comments.

she can't expect nice & encouraging comments all the time.

fame comes with a price. it really sucks.

more demand, more recognition, more comments, more shedules.

it must me even harder for her in Korea where, or so i hear, there is a lot focus on looks.

even if her line of work entails her making fun of her own body, it doesn't make it any easier

to take in comments of hate.

Lol if it was an idol the comments would be "You knew what you were getting yourself into when you took this job. Don't complain."

Not trying to say GukJu isn't suffering but I wish they treat people equally. I remember that Boa article saying she was stressed from having no breaks and she got no mercy

I watched the latest ep of roommate and when she started to talk about being stressed and how she's become distanced from her friends and then started to cry...  T^T

I'm happy for her that she's getting so much recognition and getting so many jobs but it all maybe be too much for her. So much is happening at once.

Be strong gukjoo!!

She seemed burnt out. When she was fighting anonymity or nugu-dom, she was probably barely making ends meet.  Now she is more popular, she found herself stretched to her max. Have some sympathy.  You don't have to support her but try not to be a dickhead and add on to her burden. A person can only take so much crap before they snap. :rlytearpls:

Yes, Oh my god .

They made fun of her weight and teasing her online.

They didn't take her seriously enough to be a top star because she is fat and the funny girl.

I really do like her because you can look she is a good decent person. Guk Joo tried to put up with this happy go lucky image and fit in. But the some Korean fan are really rude and close minded with thing are different from them. When they see a fat girl in a korea vogues magazine. They would be "eew, she is too fat to be in this magazine" or "She shouldn't even be in the magazine."

Even when she kinda confirmed she used to date a popular idol before he is famous. They bash her for dating a good looking idol before he was famous. He has to defend her from rude k-netizen.

So, I feel her struggle.😞
