It’s such a lovely song, and I really wanted to hear it in English, so I took it as a challenge for myself. It took me about a month and a half to finish the lyrics themselves...and then another 11 months to actually sit down and record the darn thing. But I was determined to have it done by December 1st! I looked up several translations of the lyrics for both the Korean and Chinese versions of the song and tried to get the most exact meaning of the words as I could. From there, I spent a long time fiddling with the wording to make it sound viable in english. That meant making sure the pacing and word emphasis sounded natural within the confines of the melody as written and that things like rhyming and rhythm were taken into account. This is by no means anything professional. My dad and I whipped this up in our home studio. And there are bits I wish I could have sung more smoothly, but I did my best. I hope you like it.
