hypothetical decline of your bias group

so let's say in a hypothetical or possibly very real universe your favorite group is on the decline, which fate would you rather have for them

 

A. flop with good music, but also be the laughingstock of fans who think sales are everything?

B. have good sales with mediocre music to milk the fans, so still on top in numbers?

or

C. just disband and end their career on a high note, even if it means they'll never record another precious song again?

If Winner or Big Bang decide to leave the industry/ branch off on their own and discontinue group activities for good I would like a final album and a goodbye tour.

My bias are on the decline already, and they are going the Option B route, although I wish it was Option A.

Option A, since I actually enjoy their music, I wouldn't want them to end prematurely just so they'd end on a high note. People will always remember the success, and almost everyone flops eventually so it's not that big of a deal.
