This is such a great news!   I expected them to keep in contact but then all the salty Hoya haters were saying he's a betrayer and they hate each other. So good that the leaderGyu himsef proved them wrong. SLAY!

I'm glad that Glorious Entertainment are willing to support him and give him more artistic freedom, I think it's clear he probably wouldn't have much of that if he remained in Woollim. He also mentions he was prepared to give up the idol life, so it's understandable that he left the group and Woollim to take a break and follow his own path.

Yes, I feel like he thought the decision through and made this choice for all the right reasons for himself. I am not surprised in light of this Infinite don't seem to have taken it hard. It clearly had nothing to do with them if he nearly quit public life.

His CEO seems seriously cool and nonchalant about Hoya's album. I didn't think that there are companies like that, letting an artist decide everything, starting with music and ending with visual direction of the MV. He'll have to balance his music and acting career well but given that he likes both it shouldn't be that hard. I just hope he won't overwork himself in the process cause as fun as it may be, doing everything by yourself takes a lot of energy. Work hard but remember to have some time to relax too, Hoy.

I'm so glad for this interview, he had a chance to express his real thoughts and show people that his decision was made because of his initial desire to make the kind of music he loves, not necessarily the one that sells well and makes him popular.

I've seen a lot more content being translated recently and it seems like he went through a tough 3 months during the re-contracting period. He spoke about withdrawing and keeping to himself and staying away from the public eye, like he had a lot of self-doubt and wasn't prepared to continue with the idol life. I hope he's happy now and content with his decision, and moves forward as a soloist and actor.

 

One of his fansites closed recently too, I don't know too many of his fansites anyway but Vavavoom seemed like a big one...
