JJ's 11th album will be released before the end of 2014. The New album "æ–°åœ°çƒ Genesis" will be available for preorder starting December 10. It will be officially released on December 27. This is the first album after he received the Golden Melody Award.

JJ saw many tragic happening around the world and has experienced personal lost himself recently. He believes music is the strength and gives positive energy to people.

JJ was recognized by the Golden Melody Award Best Male Singer for his 10th album. The 11th album is sure to be a new start for him. He defines it as the universe had a big explosion, and he is ready to move on to a new journey. He looks at his career from the beginning to now, from self pride to self doubt, to finally finding himself. This new album is all about him finally been able to find himself in this journey. This is why the name of the album is "Genesis"

JJ was struck by his grandmother's passing back in 2013. It was the first time he lost someone very close in life. He wrote a passage to his grandmom in the dark. The passage is printed on his suit on the cover of his new album. He hopes that he will be able to carry grandmom's spirit with him in the journey of his new world.

He wants the design of the album to be simple. He also wants the clothing style to be as close to his off stage self as possible, just some basic color tones. People ask if he feels pressured under the crown of the GMA. He said: "I'm very confident. I don't feel pressured. Making music is not to make comparison with anyone. It is to be able to create new self."

I'm SO excited! After being disappointed with Stories Untold, I was craving for a release soon. He mentioned it in an interview some time in March I think but apparently the passing of his grandmother (may she rest in peace) really gave him the drive to finish it.

Oh~~~ The Killer is such a jam, along with Cao Cao ^^ His french though... gets me everytime xD

So many favorites, you'd have to ask about specific albums. But a song that always has me in tears is Someday.

I have to admit I was slightly disappointed with Stories Untold as well. I think my favourite album as a whole would be Sixology. I really loved all the songs on that album. He has so many great songs but River South still remains to be my favourite song from him.

No, being a fan doesn't mean we are inclined to love everything and all that he does ^^ Stories Untold was definitely a much different sound to his past albums and arguably his weakest release in the 11 years he's been an artist. But I actually liked Lost n Found and the photos that went along with them xD When I first saw the pictures I got a little emotional, haha. ~~secret middle school crush~~

I didn't really appreciate these two songs until I heard it at his concert and it wasn't live singing. It was played in between his breaks accompanying 2 different MVs each with a story. It was very meaningful but I can't exactly remember it. Pretty much appreciate the small things in life and a small action could mean the world to someone.

Can I also add a favourite that's not released in his albums? It's a duet with his senior at the time.

and, forgot:

I believe his quality is improving through each album whilst moving away from the types of songs I feel in love with at first. Maybe my taste in music just hasn't moved with the times, I'm still stuck in the late 90s and early 2000s.

This is exactly how I feel. Its not a slight on JJ because he hasn't become a worse artist, in fact hes improved in many ways. The songs just dont have the x factor for me. Theyre not as fun if that makes sense. Hes still going to make plenty more great songs in the future im sure though.

You are right, he'll still make great songs in the future, whether I like them or not I'll still appreciate that he's moving forward in his career. I still love and listen to his older stuff but that's not to say I'm disappointed with his newer works, just not my cup of tea. Not sure if I made any sense.

Yeah, I totally see where you're coming from. I guess we're looking at things through rose tinted glasses, I feel like an old man who still thinks Elvis Presley is the king of music lol.

Seriously though, I think its normal. Artists change over time and sometimes its hard to change with them. Its like the people who like Taylor swifts country roots, or the more light pop style jolin instead of dance music queen.

I have extremely mixed feelings about this song. Firstly, I don't really appreciate raps, I can live without them due to my love for ballads and RnB. Second, I really love the instrumental, and parts of the singing (ie. not the rap). Three, it sounds like 3 different songs meshed into one. Finally, I love the vocals and instrumental separately, I feel like they clash.

I'm still looking forward to the album though, it's definitely very different from ALL of his past albums

OH MY GOSH! It's actually happening~~~~

Actually wasn't really feeling the beginning. But as the song progressed it really grew on me. The meshing of sounds, I think it was actually intentional. I'd have to see the official lyrics, since I'm not 100% fluent, but from what I hear in the commentary and the lyrics there's a lot of frustration, sadness, and hope in this song. From what I gather, JJ is essentially saying that our world is set on the path to become much like Huxley's "Brave New World" and that while we are becoming technologically a "better" world, in that we lose a lot of things.

His commentary at 1:52 says, "In this world, our wants become greater and our wants grow stronger. But to improve in the long run, we must remember and put importance on the simpler (å–®ç´”is a little hard to translate) things. As we move forward, we cannot let go of the most fundamental 'us'."

Not my favorite JJ song but I really enjoyed it. So stoked for the full album

Wow, this new song and album coming so soon totally surprised me. Great that its happening though! The song gets better after a few listens but it wont be a favourite of mine. Looking forward to hearing some others.
