sasha 2,956 Posted November 21, 2014 Share Posted November 21, 2014 i have my father's surname even though my parents divorced the year i was born and basically i've met my dad less than 10 times in my life. so i've thought about it a lot but now i'm really considering applying for changing it for my mother's. i'm going to make this a surprise for her and my grandparents lol but honestly i'm a bit nervous about it, i mean my mom didn't change it and i'm obviously used to my name.. If you really want it, then let nothing stop you. But I suggest you think of it for more than you already have. Changing surnames, if I'm right, doesn't just cost a cent. It'll take some time too and if you're already used to it and not really bothered by the surname itself, you can just buy them something expensive or memorable in exchange. Spend a party.
