DB5K fans: where did you get the information that Homin were going to leave with JaeChunSu?

maybe i was not thorough but in time when i did look for it i founded only this

Frankly, kids also asked us to tell you this.
All 5 had an agreement to leave (SM). It reversed in one hour in Japan. I was concerned about Junsu, but then he called me and said, “Dad, we reached an agreement, if things don’t get resolved, we’ll all leave together.†So I thought the two really helped, but something happened after one hour, and the two decided to stay and the three (?), but (I told Junsu) it was ok, it was their and their parents’ decision.

which is ridiculous since according to this they were in agreement for 1 hr. i spent more time deciding what to cook for a dinner today. and my chinese chicken won't change my life.

and i think there also was an article in some japanese magazine that posted a rumor~

and that's all i'm aware of. was there anything else?

not really what you're looking for since it's just me being a nerd as usual, but afaik I think it's a gross misunderstanding on fans' part due to JYJ's lawyer saying he expected to meet "members of DBSK" and some people (including the some media outlets) presumed he meant all of them rather than a select few.

and then the rest imo is just wishful thinking propagated by fandom throughout time since, naturally, fans don't want to think there was any genuine bad blood or conflict between the two camps and would rather convince themselves and others that corporate entities are what are really keeping them apart (the evil hand of SM, the mysterious motives of Avex, the unsavoury affiliations of CJeS, etc) and that any statements to the contrary were made by company force or blackmail or... any number of excuses.

unfortunately, nothing is ever that simple or easily explained and sometimes people who were once close really do just fall out for entirely unexpected reasons.

I don't know about them all leaving together, but I am certain that the two knew all about what the three were planning, or at least had a general idea of what was going on. Perhaps not the lawsuit itself - I bet JaeChunSu themselves didn't know at first that they'd end up suing - but I won't ever be convinced that Yunho and Changmin had no idea at all and that just one day they learnt out of the blue that their bandmates had made the decision to leave. It's just not possible, sorry, I'm not buying it.

I'm not saying they necessarily lied when they said they didn't know, because sometimes things are lost in translation, and I refuse to take what others say for granted. I assume that when Yunho said they didn't know, he meant the technicalities of it all, which is quite propable.

Imo, there was fighting, and plenty of it. There was parents meddling, SM meddling, friends meddling, everyone meddling. In the end, both parties chose what they thought was best for them, and I don't blame either. Perhaps one day we'll learn what really happened behind the scenes from their mouths loud and clear, because no matter what translation or account you read, it'll always be biased. People say things the way they see them from their own perspective and it's normal, and when we're emotional, we also say stuff we regret later on. There's always two sides in a coin, and I refuse to make conclusions about people that are practically strangers to me and I won't ever learn the unbiased story because I simply don't know them. "Insiders", "fans" and "friends" always have ulterior motives, even if that motive is to protect their loved ones and not a malicious one.

Point is, life goes on, they're both in good places, they both had shit coming to them, bashing, hardships etc. It's not a competition and I personally find it ridiculous how fans kill each other over who had it the worse. Both sides had tough times (it's natural to only know of your fandom's side of things) and these guys all proved to be hell of a fighters and practically rose from their own ashes.

And now I'm out before the mess begins~

also what is this thing about yunho lying about not knowing about lawsuit? was it on guru show?

I can't remember what they said on Knee Drop Guru now since I haven't watched it in so long.. I gotta rewatch sometime...

but I guess basically some people insist Yunho lied about knowing whether JYJ were going to file a lawsuit. he said himself he was surprised when they filed it and he didn't expect it at all, that it basically came out of the blue for him because he didn't know they were planning to do it. but others insist he must have known for whatever reason (and the implication is that he was involved somehow I guess? idk).

I'm not sure why he would lie about that though... I mean, it was a surprise for everyone lol. and if he truly supported them I'm sure he would have vocally considering that keeping the group together was certainly his priority as leader at the time. but I guess it's just another way for people to try and suggest there was some other influence on him besides disapproving of his own volition.

nobody says that. i hope lol.

personally i think Yunho as a leader has carried responsibility to settle issues between company and the rest of members or at least to pinpoint their positions ie smth like mediator between SM and members. and somehow i doubt Yunho was the one who delivered a message about jyj's final decision to sm. for me his statement is more like the admission that at some point Yunho was cut out from negotiations between SM&JYJ.

or he lied and jyj personally told him they were filing the lawsuit say next month  :imstupid:

yeah i also can't see why would he lie. it's a faux pas from such a PR eloquent man lol. to imply a betrayal and then not say an ill-word about them ever after..

yeah basically. of course he must have known of some rumblings, being in the same group and basically being the mediator between management and artist like you said, but the lawsuit itself I believe was major news to him. and that's what he says he knew nothing about and I believe him. it is possible to keep something like that under wraps so it's not a farfetched idea to me.

but being aware of arising conflicts... of course. it was (and presumably still is) his job to make sure everyone in the group is getting along okay and happy in their work, so he must have been aware of some misgivings if any were aired. he never denied that. it only convinces me further that filing the lawsuit itself was a rather hastily-made decision after a long build-up.

all that said, I'm still not sure why people hold it against him personally as if he had any control over JYJ's choices. he wouldn't have been a good leader if he had tried to force them to stay, imo, and he's not a failed leader for letting them go but choosing to stick to the path he personally set out on.

^ I agree, it baffles me when I see people blame Yunho, I mean come on... how is it his fault that 3/5 were unhappy with things and had other dreams/goals.

It's painful to see that your friends have chosen a different path, but this is life. You can't force anyone to do what they don't want to do just to keep up appearances or for the sake of others. That was a life-changing decision, not sth you can control as the leader of a group. That goes both ways ofc, because I'm sure JaeChunSu would have liked HoMin to follow their steps and stay together united, but alas, it didn't work out like that, and time has proved that the split has been more than beneficial for both sides.

It isn't that simple, it never is. And when we as observers don't know all the factors, we can't really judge, we can only assume and side with what we have a preference for as individuals.

yeah they should have been aware of conflicts. impossible not to be, especially for leader.

and wow look at this thread about the split, people are nice to each other  :ahmagah: expecting to wake up to a bloodbath tbh

I'm sure several members will indulge in the bloodbath, lol, but it was so good while it lasted. :ahmagah:

I remember there was a large audio transcription (I think) back then in 2009. It was from a kind of interview with JYJ's parents and Cassiopeia after the lawsuit because the fans wanted an explanation. I read that one of the parents told that the 5 of them were supposed to leave SM, but it ended up being just 3 of them, Yunho and Changmin for no reason, never met with the other 3 to file the lawsuit.

I saved the link to that extense document but I lost it and can't find it anymore.
I don't remember exactly what else was said there and Idk if the doc was true, though. Yunho himself said that he had no idea about the lawsuit, and I don't think he's lying, so maybe some fans wrote the document.

It has been 5 years already and see how good the boys are doing. I love and respect the actual TVXQ, but I can't forget how Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin put their blood, sweat and tears into making that name.

yeah, it's called the 6.25 meeting and JYJ's families tried to implicate that Yunho and Changmin were involved in the lawsuit initially, I guess to lend it more credence and to paint SM in a worse light (since, after all, if two members remained, SM can't be as bad as they purported in their lawsuit, and it would harm their odds of winning). but there are a lot of holes in their claims. you can read a translation here, and also a refutal:

(yeah yeah I know people will moan "oh but it's from truetvxq" as usual but if you care to discuss something then at least read all the material out there. whether you agree with Precious' opinions or not, the translations he provided are known to be accurate.)

yeah quote in OP is from this document. tbh it's amazing how ppl remember just 'they were supposed to leave as 5' and no details like that they were in agreement for 1 hr only. oh well. that was partially the goal i guess.

I remember back in the days when I was new in the fandom I tried to find the reason behind the lawsuit so I checked JYJ3 and truetvxq AND IT WAS A VERY BAD IDEA both sides were so biased in analyzing the situation, and I had mixed feelings about witch side was right and witch side was wrong, I was so confused it was horrible , but I decided to drop it all and just accept the fact that both side choose what’s best for them.

I do agree about most of the comments here, it’s impossible for me to believe that Yunho and Changmin didn’t know about the conflict between JeaChunSu and SM, but I do believe imho that they didn’t expect for the situation to progress to the three filling a lawsuit and leaving .

It’s been 5 years already , and as long as TVXQ and JYJ are still here and making music that’s all what matter to me

I'm not sure if foreknowledge of jyj filing the lawsuit would have helped Yunho and Changmin, but I think jyj should have at least been courteous enough to tell Yunho and Changmin about it. Yunho knew they were problems but he said he didn't think jyj would go as far as they did. They must have been angry with jyj for not telling them something as important as that, that would affect him and Changmin in ways they never imagined. They were unprepared and shocked at how things turned out especially how it affected their families. Many things went wrong and weren't fair from getting blamed and bashed for the break up but the bashing of their families hurt even more.

i read the one from JYJ thread , at that time when the issue about 6.25 file come out i think its started with tvxqblog posted and there are a hug issue what posted in that blog is edited to fit the blame to JYJ and their family , i think after that JYJ thread posted the 6.25 meeting file too

http://thejyjfiles.wordpress.com/2011/02/10/the-6-25-meeting-summary-and-explanation/

http://jyjsoul.com/post/13362121101/about-the-6-25-meeting-summary-analysis-part-1-2-of-5

so i don't know which one is the truth since i'm not there and just based an audio file its can be edited and manipulated too but yeah ... the lawsuit ....is tiring thing for this fandom already.

also i think yunho know there is a problem between the member and SM but he maybe never expected JYJ will go this far and everything is fine and will be alright but ... (didn't at that time he is busy with his drama?) , i still remember i read the interview he ask JYJ back to SM and stop the fight, and when JYJ focused their work in japan the negotiation still on going, i always think the lawsuit can be resolved in a good way and less drama but all parent involved JYJ family, Homin family with their letter etc..its mess ...

"Making this decision and putting it into action meant not being able to keep the promise of, “Let the five of us (members of TVXQ) never separate.†This is the greatest regret of many of their fans. But the people who had to endure a greater sorrow and pain than that were the members themselves. They tried to comfort themselves with the thought that their paths had divided into different directions because they had different goals in life." cr.jyjmagazine

i think JYJ expected homin join them too but homin expected JYJ back to Sm and they are together again.
so sad

lmao it's has been 5 years but delulu cassies still live in delulu dreams

They're talking about the lawsuit, not the possibility of a reunion. That's not a dream lol; that's the past, which is something that has already happened. They're just asking for clarification.

Honestly, does the lawsuit really matter that much? It has been five years, and there is no way the decision can be reversed. It was a time that hurt both sides, and it hurt the fans too. Homin and JYJ have moved on with their lives anyways.

Agreed.

And the most damage done to the  split to the whole fandom could be mostly pinpoint to the Hotel Girls(yunho's fanatic fans). It was so ugly at that time. maybe because of their distorted truth/ misinformation campaign and involvement with Yunho's dad apparently behind the scene that causes so much hatred to Yunho in particular when he further says those remarks on Guru. Big East was spared mostly because it was deliberately  kept out in japan the ugly issues in south korea..Social medias were not that fast then

But that is all behind now and both groups are happy now that matters.

note : for post split fans-if you are wonderfing who they are-Hotel girls: “Hoâ€-comes from DC gallery Head to the Ground. This gallery was made when Yunho’s drama Head To The Ground started. Die-hard Yunho fans flocked to this gallery, when still all other major fansites were trying to keep all-5-mode

“Tel†comes from telzone dvxq gallery, where dc HTTG gall tries hard to overtake and eventually did so. So Ho+tel, hotel girls. These people have been so focused on attacking JYJ in public sites (non-fan sites) for that year
