Do you like group work in school?

I like it if I get to pick my group because my friends all work hard. I hate it when teachers assign groups though.

Generally I dislike group work because I feel bad for the people that always inevitably end up being left out of groups and just stand there awkwardly until the teachers notice. I feel like it's better just to work individually, and ask other people questions if you have them.

This is why I hate group work, I like working fast but no one can reach my speed. I generally hate working together because there are days where no one wants to do shit and I just have to drop it because I don't want to work further and have people write over what I wrote. Team assignment means team. I don't like free loading in general so for me a team work needs to be done by a team.

So, how do you deal with freeloaders? You just drop the whole assignment or what?

Tell me about it...I even went to the Dean and pleaded to let me pass with even a D or C, but nope...The rest of the group slacking off (3 of them dropped the class on the last possible day to drop without failing) and me not being able to make it all up was "my fault" for not taking care of it sooner. In part, it was my fault, but it was an animation class, and there was no way I could have finished the project by myself, even if I'd started to take care of it sooner.

That's really the reason why it's good to be grateful for honest people in person's life.

The 3 people who dropped the class never graduated. Honesty is key, I asked and asked and they always said "don't worry, we have it covered," and I totally believed them...I took the class again and the second time around, the group was glorious. Everyone did their jobs accordingly and once we were done, we helped in areas we weren't "assigned" to. Our animation ended up being one of the top in the class. That really made me have faith in humanity again. But I still despise group projects. LOL...
