It's the most daring competition ever attempted (not really but budget gaming here), several one to two-person teams, bound by friendship, love or k-pop will race around Onehallyu. They have no idea where they're going, what dangers and annoying questions they may encounter, or how the journey will affect their free time. Most of the teams will be eliminated, but the team that reaches the finish line first will win a token prize of 75 tokens. This is a race like no other. This is the Amazing Race.

 

Gameplay

 

This game will be loosely based on the gameplay of the actual show: The Amazing Race. I'll lead you guys as each round passes by but here's a step by step of more or less how it'll work.

You guys can either work by yourself or work with a partner.

Any teams larger than 2 people WILL be disqualified.

Note: If you work with a partner and you guys win. You'll split the prize pot. 

 

There will be 12 laps for this game.

 

How the game will go:

1. Soleil and I will post down a hint in the main gameplay thread FOR THE FIRST ROUND ONLY. This will lead to a thread here in Onehallyu as well as a page number. Somewhere on the page of the thread will be a post by either me or Soleil and it'll have instructions on what to do.

Example: "Feeling frustrated? Maybe being a fan of these 9 girls will help them grant you your wish. Page number is the number of current members in Red Velvet"

Answer: Go to page 4 of the official SNSD thread.

 

2. Once you find the post, there'll be instructions on what to do. You MUST complete those instructions on the main game thread.

Example: Post a video of a k-pop idol eating a dessert.

 

3. Once you guys do what the instruction tells you to, Soleil or I will PM you guys with a hint to the 3 final destinations of the round. The PM will actually be hints towards 3 countries and you guys must post the name of the countries in the PM that we send you. DO NOT POST IT IN THE GAMEPLAY THREAD.

Example: Don't visit this country or else Kim Jong Un will think you're pizza.

Answer: North Korea

 

4. If you're correct, we will PM you the hint to the next thread in the lap and you will repeat the steps as listed above.

 

5. The first 3 people/duos to complete all 12 laps will win the race!

 

Rules

 

1. You MUST follow all the steps. Failure to follow all the steps will result in a time penalty.

2. NO COPY AND PASTING ANYTHING. If you copy and paste ANYTHING onto the main gameplay thread. You will be AUTOMATICALLY kicked out of the game. Basically don't steal other people's challenge answers.

3. DO NOT POST ANSWERS ON THE THREAD. If you post any answers (such as the countries or the hints to the next lap) you will be AUTOMATICALLY kicked out of the game.

 

Those are the 3 most important rules we have for this game. And we WILL be taking them seriously.

 

Prizes

Note: If you win as a partnership, you'll have to split the tokens.

 

First place: 75 tokens

Second place: 50 tokens 

Third place: 25 tokens 

 

Sign-Ups?

 

There are NO sign-ups for this game. Basically you'll just jump in whenever you can as long as we don't have the 3 winners yet. We do ask though that if you're working as partners to please post on the main gameplay thread or the Partner thread who you're working with so we can PM you both! You can also PM Soleil and I together in one big PM. As long as we know you have a partner!

 

If you DON'T do this, we will count you as an individual player.

Isn't that gonna be a lot of work for you to answer all of those PM though?

It will but that's why there'll be 2 of us~ ^^ <3 PLUS IT'LL BE ALL WORTH IT IF THIS GOES SMOOTHLY AND FUN FOR YOU GUYS~
