It was obvious they had to give an award to GOD because it's been ages since they've been to an awards show and the place was full of fans. But it's not like they didn't do well. It's "best dance song", so basically uptempo song. It has nothing to do with the actual dance. Hence why them winning wasn't surprising. Beast won netizen popularity award Their songs The Lone Duckling and Blue Sky Promise did really well. Chapter 8's title tracks did decently compared to the pre-releases. dishdash 1,556 Posted November 13, 2014 Share Posted November 13, 2014 ummmm i think everyone was deserving of their awards. tbh idk why people are so mad that GOD won, they may not have done as well as 2NE1 or Akmu digitally but they still did very well. and they probably factored in album content as well. IU totes deserved it. honestly she doesn't need to feel bad for getting the award because she deserved it (i only say this because as i was listening to her speech i believe i heard her say something along the lines of "is this okay?" but i'm not sure could be wrong xD). tbh i was expecting 'Some' to win for song of the year but at the same time i understand why ENL won as well, because that song also did very well in Korea. all in all it seems pretty legit to me. i think people forget that even the Melon awards aren't entirely based on digital. they do factor in other elements.
