It's beautiful and it's right, and I hope those of you who dislike/hate him can get a glimpse of why we stan him. He isn't only good at being sarcastic you know. * * * About his real self "Now, even under the packaging by others, I still want to show a true kind side of myself. I would rather not have people have false expectations of me simply because I say something which sounds good" "Instead of succumbing to the norm and being the same as everyone else, I'd rather be myself" "I do not sugar-coat my words, and I refuse to be the influence of these children. I do not have the power to be responsible for them. The 'me' that you see is a result of packaging. This is not to say that I do not care about everyone, It is just that I do not wish for people to waste their time on meaningless things, which is why I say such words" "Before, I wasn't able to express myself well, but now, I want to be able to express myself, not only through song and dance, but also through my words and expressions. I don't want them to spend their lives desperately on me. To say it in an extreme way, It is alright even if you guys do not show me your support, I just want you to live your own life well and take note of my activities occasionally. I will be the happiest if you treat my existence as nutritional supplements" * * About friendship "Friendship is not built as you like it. It's the sharing of time and experiences, and the further understanding it" * * About dreams "I understand that we are the knights of the dark and that is why I will not regret, because I once fought passionately for my dream" * * About Social networks "If I use twitter, where am I now, what I'm doing - everyone will find out. This is the reason why I didn't use it in the 1st place. There is a lot of unwanted stuff when using twitter, while saying who is the problem, it will become news. I got this kind of feelings while seeing those news. Even though anyone has the possibility to say things, when you post something on twitter, it's not one to one anymore but there is a lot of people who can see it. From the readers point of view, there is a possibility they will think something bad. That's why, I think I don't want to find trouble when there is no trouble. Although conveying your thoughts is a form of expressing yourself, I think appreciating your own thoughts is even better" * * About eating "There is nothing embarrasing about eating, it's their refusing to eat that's embarrasing" * * Yunho, on what a quiet and just overly different trainee Changmin was. Whenever we talk about this, Changmin makes it sound as if he's always been this witty and tough, but he was so quiet back then. Whatever happened, seriously, he was always ... politely saying 'No ~' and 'No, it is not ~', always wearing his school uniform and getting scolded for singing too quietly by the noonas. Honestly, he was a scary kid back then, locking the door to that singing practice room - soundproof room, locking the door to the soundproof room and sleeping there. Although it can be said to be a postive aspect of you, but on the other hand, there are times when you show a complete opposite side, so there are often times when you worry about yourself… but recently, I’ve started to have the mindset of appreciating myself and to be proud of myself, so it can be considered a really lucky thing. Although I still have to learn to face up to reality, but no matter how difficult it is, if I cannot make a right choice then I’ll have to shake off those options decisively, and from that, become a wiser, more knowledgeable and confident me. In future, won’t there be choices that will make me become like that? Haven’t I become an artist now? To be an artist as an occupation… Although I’ve been an artist for a few years, even though there are still many things that I don’t fully understand, but I still show my candid side when I appear in front of everyone. There’s also a side of me that even I don’t know about; aren’t there times where I also have to show a side of myself that is not me? To be honest, this is not something that I dreamed about when I was a child… Who I am now… I often have this thought… “If I’m not doing what I’m doing now, what else can I do? Yunho may be my bias but words can't express how much I relate to and admire Changmin. he's incredibly smart and thoughtful and doesn't get nearly enough credit for being such a considerate and well-rounded person. S k y e 344 Posted November 11, 2014 Share Posted November 11, 2014 changmin's words are usually so well-thought, such an intellectual person indeed. definitely one of the most interesting idols today. there is so so so much more to him than the food-obsessed snarky maknae image some fans cage him in. he's been through a lot and it shows in the way he expresses himself. my favorite part about him is that he does what he can to make his relationship with fans a little... healthier? than normal in the idol realm. i remember reading some of his ufo replies from way way back and even then he'd been trying to create a respectable distance between him and cassies. being so idol-obsessed is never a good thing. one thing i didn't really like from this was this one quote: "There is nothing embarrasing about eating, it's their refusing to eat that's embarrasing" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He can be harsh with his words but he knows when to say it and how to do it. He's an idol but he never wanted his fans to focus their life on him. <3 Shim Changmin, you are one in a million and I'm proud to be your fan.
