Min (miss A), Yugyeom (GOT7), Changjo (TEEN TOP), Bitto (UP10TION) to appear on Mnet's "Hit The Stage" Ep. 9 & 10 On August 5th it was reported by the music industry that Stage 5 of Hit the Stage dance show will feature Min from miss A, Changjo from TEEN TOP, Yugyeom from GOT7, and Bitto from UP10TION.

 

Noteworthy idols that have been featured on the show include SNSD's Hyoyeon who has competed in 3 rounds.

 

In addition, Min and Hyoyeon share a close friendship within the industry as they both learned dance from the same team. In addition there has been another close friendship on the show featuring both Hoya from Infinite, and Feeldog from Big Star who use to train and practice together.

 

Articles continues to talk about Hit The Stage as well the winners of the first 3 rounds. As well as when the show is broadcasted.

"Sooni" is a movie that falls under the genre of mystery / thriller where the main character "Sooni" is a detective trying to piece together a homicide that has taken place in a village located in a small mountain.

 

Article talks about the plot for about 6 paragraphs... its about child abuse, neglect, stepmothers... family issues... if I can find a translation to this I'll copy pasta...

SO SO proud of her right now because I never thought that she'd have the chance to be in another movie. I wish that it will be a huge success, that her talent can make heads turn and that this can be a new beginning for her. One full of great opportunites. When JYPE said that the girls were to focus on individual activities including music and acting after Jia's departure,  I honestly believed that this only really applied to Fei and Suzy. The company is really surprising me with all this good news. I wouldn't be surprised if a solo debut is in the works as well. We've joked about this all the time but anything seems possible for her now. Maybe I'm getting a bit carried away with all this emotion but who cares!

Miss A's Min Confirmed For A Role In Crime/Thriller Film

 

 

Miss A's Min has been confirmed for a role in a crime/thriller film titled 'Soon Yi'!

 

The idol-turned-actress will star alongside talents such as Kim In Kwon, Lee Chae Eun, Choi Lee, and Jung Kyeo Woon.

 

'Soon Yi' will follow the horrific serial murders that occur at a small village in the mountains and a detective's pursuance of the murders' suspect. What's interesting about this story is that the prime suspect is a little girl named Soon Yi and the mysterious events that unfold when the detective meets her. The movie is based on actual occurrences of child abuse, aiming to instill a fear arising from deep-seated grudge of children who were cruelly abused.

 

The role Min will be taking on is Soo Ja, the daughter of Soon Yi's stepmother, who abuses Soon Yi due to her insatiable greed for money. This will mark Min's second movie role following her previous role in 'Countdown.'

 

The film has just entered production, so stay tuned for further updates!

Miss A’s Min Cast In Upcoming Movie Under Real Name

 

 

The upcoming movie “Suni†(tentative title) has announced that it has cast actors Kim In Kwon, Lee Chae Eun, Choi Ri, Jung Gyeo Woon, Lee Min Young (miss A’s Min), Ji Soo Won, and Lee Mi Do.

 

“Suni†is about a detective who is investigating serial murders in a small village and meets a girl named Suni, who becomes a strong suspect in the case. The movie will be a horror film about the revenge of a victim of child abuse, and the script is said to have drawn inspiration from real-life child abuse cases.

 

Kim In Kwon will play the investigator, Baek Dong Po, while child actress Lee Chae Eun has been cast as Suni. Choi Ri will play Suni’s kind older sister, who tries her hardest to protect her younger sibling.

 

Ji Soo Won will play Suni’s abusive stepmother and Min has been cast as her accomplice and biological daughter (Suni’s stepsister). Min has previously appeared in the 2011 film “Countdown.†Jung Gyeo Woon will play a junior detective under Kim In Kwon’s character.

 

Finally, Lee Mi Do will play the role of a shaman or psychic, who knows all the secrets of the little village.

 

The movie is expected to air sometime next summer.

So it'll be a support role for our Minnie. For a moment there I thought she had landed herself the big one i.e. the lead actress role but alas it wasn't to be! Introducing lead actress "Lee Min Young" has a nice ring to it though doesn't it? It'll be around a year before we can watch it if the aim of a 2017 summer release is to be achieved. I can't wait.

This Miss A Star Will Soon Be In Theaters Everywhere!



Min fans rejoice! The miss A star is making moves this year following the uncertain future surrounding the group. Min kicked off the summer heatwave with Jo Kwon and Hyoyeon on their SM station hit, Born to be Wild (Feat. 박진ì˜).
 
The dancer-singer-actress already has a few acting credits under her belt, but she's about to add a 'starring' role to the list. Soon-i (순 ì´), directed by Sungwon Ji, just announced its cast and revealed that the pop star will be undertaking the role of Soo-ja (수ìž). Also credited in starring roles are Inkwon Kim (ê¹€ì¸ê¶Œ), Kyeowoon Jeong (정겨운), and Chaeun Lee (ì´ì±„ì€).
 
The film promises a thrilling mystery set in a small village where an inquisitive detective investigates the town’s quiet killings and meets the eponymous child Soon-i. Based on actual events, the film seeks to spread awareness about child abuse, as the actors hope to prevent such tragedies through their performances.
 
Soon-i is expected to begin filming soon with a release date projected for mid-2017.
 
In the meantime, fans can get their Min-fix in the upcoming episodes of Mnet’s Hit the Stage, where she will be reunited with her childhood friend and collaborator, Hyoyeon.

It's going to be a popping routine so I'm pretty happy! She gets to do what she loves the most on a big stage to boot. I don't think a female has won even once on this show unfortunately. This week's 'Hit The Stage' theme is absolutely one to gawk over - 'The Fight' match!

 

The show has also adopted a new system of ranking the competitors this week: instead of showing the total votes earned after each competitor performs, this week, everyone will perform their prepared stages before the MCs reveal the top 3 teams. From there, the ultimate winner will be decided.

 

The idols who will be "fighting" for the #1 spot this week are Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon, miss A's Min, TEEN TOP's Changjo, GOT7's Yugyeom, UP10TION's Bitto, NCT's TEN, and DIA's Eunjin & Jung Chae Yeon.
