Your biases are problematic Friday (this Friday with Big Bang, BTS, SNSD, Jay Park etc.)

I actually wanted to make this thread a long time ago but kinda forgot about it but since people are so offended with Zico wearing a confederate flag on his sleeves, lets talk about idols who love to wear Nazi Symbols and Uniforms.
So many of you may (should!) know about the various Nazi Symbols (swastika, ss-symbols etc.). A really well known designer brand is Boy London. Here is what this brand is really about. The Logo is the NSDAP-Parteiadler without the swastika.

And here are some of the idol who love to wear this nazi symbol.

SNSD - Soohyun

The winners here? Big Bang (Yas spread the love for the Nazis <333333)

But let's take it a step further, the real winner here is the person who doesn't even need Boy London, but proudly wears the Reichsadler as a whole (Yes even with the skull!!!).

Bonus Sooyoung but I heard that SM actually did something about it?

it is kind of disgusting (at least for me) that some designer wanted to promote his clothes under this logo tbh even if it's not complete nazi logo

and also kind of sad when i see ppl wearing them, especially stars because they promote that clothes this way

Fact is some people including the Korean people that we so proudly like to target when stuff like this does happen, don't know crap about history in general, at least not what everyone seems to be all Hush-Hush about, like the Southern Cross and so on. And no, I'm not trying to defend anyone for that matter but as stated it's fact. Kind of want to know why Boy London is an up and running business with that sort of image?

And moreso, it's not all about brands and fashion that there's to be questioned when it comes to Zico. I can tolerate ignorance to an extent, but not when you're aware of what your lyrics depict in your music.

I love the term "problematic". Like people want to say something is bad, but that would be such a banal and pointless statement that they stop and instead try to cast this veil of vague profoundity over the whole thing by saying it's "problematic".

We study WW2 a lot in school in my country but I'm pretty sure most people (if not all) would have never guessed the eagle from Boy London was stolen from a Nazi symbol (me included). It doesn't make it okay but no one wears Boy London anymore anyway so  :imstupid:

Most people even here in the states don't know where the symbol came from so saying wearing it is "spreading the nazi love" is erroneous and needlessly antagonist.

Some people do, and get high off of being edgy~ by wearing it. But most people are just sheep following trends.

why are people attacking the idols (and not just idols bc i looked it up and apparently rihanna has worn/sponsored it too)

when people should be attacking the company that appropriated that symbol and i happily selling the merchandise :donthinkso:

seriously, up until now i didn't even know that was a nazi eagle, so im not even going to get mad on that matter

uhmmmmmmmmmm

Yes?

Do the idols love to wear it or do the coordi noones love to put it on them?

because most of these outfit you are using as example are from photoshoot or performance in which for the most part they dont pick their outfit

Does it even matter?

OP I  don't get your point.

My point is that half of Kpop idols did wear a nazi symbol but nobody cares about it, where are the 12+ bashing those artist like it usually happens?

Pretty sure most everyone here (incl. me) doesn't know they're a nazi symbol before this too, though. If we don't know, doubt that the idols know too.
