I think American pop needs to go back to focusing on vocals, vocals lately are so mediocre which isn't helped by the fact that most pop acts are also mediocre dancers. 

 

I think Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus have the most staying power. They have unique voices, unique stories, and seem to know what kind of people they want to be. 

 

Selena needs to focus on acting, and Carly needs more vocal training and dance lessons and she needs to come back with a laid back grown up image. 

She's like 30 isn't she? Why would you want to sit with the 21 year olds when you're 30??

 

I think Taylor is in the process of growing up, Red (minus WANGBT)  is more grown up than her previous albums.
