I'm a Scandal fan, but I like more the original version of Secret Base.

But I have both versions in my mp3 player.

Secret Base is great! Zone should be given credit for creating and developing Secret Base because it's their record but Scandal have done an excellent job handling it. Scandal has a much more appealing record because I genuinely prefer their vocal work especially Mami and Haruna. Takaya has an excellent voice but it isn't as appealing to me as Haruna. Both Scandal and Zone are great and have done excellent for themselves.

Secret Base is such a beautifully melancholic song!

 

I give huge credit to ZONE for creating this masterpiece of a song. But in all honesty I like Scandal's version better. It's mainly because of Haruna's vocals and Tomomi's bass line. The lower key Haruna sings in and the heavier bass gives the Scandal version more gravitas and makes the song more melancholic, which I appreciate.

i prefer listening to Scandal's version but i do like the original version too. If you posted ZONE's crying performance of the song then i would have had to pick ZONE just because

imo Miyu is the best singer in zone not Takayo
