i'm just curious, wasn't there a spoiler before that YG has another secret group(vocal) listed on that released stockbroker's plan/management for their company?

 

could that have any bearing/truth in it?

 

and would it be stretching it that JinSeok could belong in that group -- and that their participation in M&M is just a stepping stone for them to be visually recognized by the people and of course free pr or as we call it pre-promotion of the said "secret" group.

 

 

or if they still belong in YG -- 

 

Jinhyeong who is closer in Yedam's age will eventually  debut together after 2-3 yrs.

 

Hongseok they could be building up to be the next male solo act -- Seven's status in YG is unclear after his scandal.  So basically they don't have a balladeer in YG. 

 

 

 

anyways --

 

i find it extremely satisfying that Hongseok is trending so's Jinhyeong. The relevance really. They got it both.

 

and i find it funny that no matter how hard they try to shove the other members and the show to us -- Hongseok always manages to trend - be on top and be RELEVANT.

 

i mean people should be talking about the show -- the final members -- the members who made it -- the Ikon as a group -- but huh?

 

people don't seem to be talking about any of those but rather they talk about Hongseok and Jinhyeong.

 

something is wrong.

 

and it's just not that - if i can be frank -- no matter what kind of press release he makes for his precious babies -- it's just not trending nor discussed. 

 

do regular people not their fans not care about Ikon and it's members at all?

 

why do i feel that JinSeok captured the hearts of all not just the said fans of OTP6.

actually if we think about it - i guess we are soooo right -- everything has bee. predetermined and the voting is rigged as f*ck!

 

i just noticed during WIN era - results were shown so clearly -- the percentage and all that --

 

however in M&M -- actual number results were not shown -- all it shows were the rankings --

 

pretty sure JinSeok ranked higher -- i really believe in the power of casual viewers/fans -- moreso the ones who already made a turnaround after the fanmeet -- so voting in the final round would have been different -- results would have been different too --

 

but since everything was predetermined -- the changes in the voting would have messed up the predetermined decision --

 

hence the showing of rankings not the actual numbers/ voting that came in was shown --

 

f*ck it! now i know even YG can't be trusted to play fare -- even YG is not clean as it seems --

 

the editing -- the way they played JinSeok -- i am really disappointed -- they can also play dirty this company -- damn!

 

also i didn't get YG artists' reasoning in choosing that night -- not shading him but i'm just using him as an example "because tonight D shined"

 

ok got that this and that person shined that night -- but what about the other days? the other performances? the past shows? been training for soooooo long and only tonight he shined and you votes for him? --

 

what about the others? with less practice -- with less experience and yet have been consistent and is showing improvements in leaps and bounds -- that doesn't count at all at how that individual really has the talent and the ability to improve at a fast pace compared to the others who only now despite being in WIN, despite all those live performances in family concerts never shown any improvements but only during that M&M final match -- must be their lucky day --

 

how sure are they after that final night they won't revert back again to their dull unimproved self?

i really think deep down Junhoe wanted Hongseok -- he has been singing with Seok ever since he came in the picture. and every time i  see him singing with Seokiee -- Junhoe is happy -- he has this different aura in him -- that finally is enjoying singing and not see it as a burden to be carrying the vocals alone with a bunch of fetus voices. singing with Seok somehow unleash the inner beast in him for there is that somebody who can sing on par with him -- without him being reprimanded for overshadowing the rest of his members or of him feeling guilty he is unleashing his power in singing.

 

the scene where everybody was sleeping together -- i bet Junhoe would want to be on the pile with Bobby, Seokiee and Jinny --  only he can't for it's not in his nature to be chummy2x -- he has this slight aversion of showing emotions/skinship -- lol! but oh yeah -- he wanted to be on the pile as well -- 

 

I L.O.V.E  Y.O.U All the words you said make feel better, and withhope, wishing this can be the same a few people was thingking all this time. And for the trending JINSEOK, true...they are the main topic this day, having first places around the world....why can this means? JINSEOK, mostly Hongseok, are most famous than IKON? Do you see the numbers in naver, twitter, fb, tieba...or in japan...this is weird hahahaha  and YG is watching all of this.

 

they are more famous than Ikon -- if i have to be frank really -- nobody in Ikon would be talked about if not for the forced/shoving in our faces media play -- the show itself tanked. the ratings were so bad. the members? no words.

 

YG media played B.I. so hard -- Bobby too but atleast now Bobby has the rep to show -- he won SMTM3 and Bobby has the talent.

 

However, B.I's writing skills media play didn't work -- Winner debuted YG media played so hard how "Empty" was written by B.I. and Bobby -- but who was praised so much by the general public? Winner members! for their singing brought justice to the song.

 

"Wait for ME" written by B.I. too -- tanked! fell right off the charts. This should YG that not fans alone can make the song be loved and chart well. It has to be the general public -- and the general public has spoken -- it's either nobody like the song or nobody like the singing.

 

so which was it? if he has the brains and if he look at the past --

 

Team B lost because general public voted for Team A -- why?  because of overall image and overall talent.

 

Mix and Match -- at first it was for the Team B fans -- but it has garnered enough buzz to let the general public know -- general public came into the picture (team B fans had an epiphany at the last minute) -- general public and the team b fans who have a changed of heart wanted JinSeok --

 

shouldn't it be the most logical solution? JinSeok should be in?

 

old Team B lost.

 

New image team B on tv -- JinSeok trended. (done by general public and team b fans who had a changed of heart)

 

JinSeok alone got the general public and some old team b fans affection = more money - more potential for future projects = visual and talent slayage.

 

so why in the world can't YG see that?

 

it is the general public who propelled all his acts to do well digitally and be recognized as slighty superior artists compared to the rest of the kpop artists.

 

AKMU - people love them because they're talented -- no matter if they don't fit the YG standard of hep-hap and swag2x whatever. and they won because of general public voting for them.

 

LEE HI - even if she lost in the competition -- if we remembered correctly -- in every episode -- she always trended -- general public likes her awkward yet talented self. she won the public  actually by the way she was always seen positively by the people. 

 

WINNER - they always lose in the YG family monthly evaluation but the minute the voting went public -- they generated the most buzz -- people like their image and love their talent. even til today general public see them in a positive light -- each of the members can trend and can create buzz with and especially without media play. each members can trend and created buzz amidst in the mix of YG's favorite people. General public has spoken.

 

JinSeok - limited screentime - evil editing and yet? they generated the most buzz - trended - the show itself and it's final members were not talked bout -- instead JinSeok was the talked of the town - general public recognizes talent no matter how little their screentime was. these two are talent and visual all in one - a rarity in Kpop really. 

 

general public should be YG's bff in terms of propelling his artists to the top. general public should be YG's guideline in spotting talent after all  they're the ones who labeled his acts as artists not idols. 

 

there are times you should consider when to listen to the outcry of general public and when not to.

 

for JinSeok's case it was a win-win for him - but he didn't take advantage of it. instead he ruined his chances with the general public  for his beloved Ikon to be loved.

 

no one cares for his beloved Ikon in general public but the fans.

 

no one cares for his beloved Ikon with general public until JinSeok appeared. 

 

YG should think about that.

what irked me the most is that -- the platform for M&M was to find a good addition to the group right?

 

then they predetermined Chanwoo as the addition - for whatever blind and unfathomable reasons.

 

and so if they're sooooo confident with Chanwoo's potential to perform well - his potential of actually winning people's heart because supposedly he acted in dramas -- his potential in singing and dancing that he can actually add something to the group --

 

 

WHY IN THE HELL WAS THERE EVER THE NEED TO MANIPULATE SCREENTIME? RIGGED THE VOTES? WHY? WHY? WHY?

 

after all -- he has the talent right as they saw it hence he is the predetermined addition -- he has the charisma -- he is the missing ingredient --

 

why then make JinSeok the product of evil machinations?

 

because in TRUTH - CHANWOO ain't shit. because if he was -- no need for JinSeok to be treated like this.

 

from the start they already have no confidence with Chanwoo or even Dong -- that should have been a RED FLAG on adding them to the team -- they themselves know they're nothing hence they have to rely on evil editing as well as less screentime to the two talented trainees.

 

YG people miscalculated the lengths the acquired fans JinSeok could possibly get - YG peeps thought they would be passive non-aggressive fans -- well they were dead wrong.

 

JinSeok got the general public on their side. can't possibly mess with the general public.

 

no matter how they try to downplay JinSeok -- they still shined -- now that's what you call "diamond in the rough" figuratively and plainly speaking.

I wish B.I did something similar to this. It sort of works for me. He would do the rap parts, then Lee Hi sings the chorus. Hongseok and Donghyuk would share the remaining parts. I still don't like his Let It Go rendition. I thought it was the worst performance out of the whole of M&M and that's saying a lot. Lee Hi can say what she wants about HS not improving within that month, but really he didn't stand much of a chance because the song itself was difficult to start with.

Do specifics really matter?

 

YG represents the company just like the staff carries out the wishes and plans of the company. Would would a staff personally scout Hongseok and pull him into the show without YG's knowledge and permission? 

 

The comment about Hongseok comes his brother on his personal Facebook which he made public again.

 

The translators of both posts are different and could have worded it differently. 

 

Mino was also scouted by YG/YGE.

 

i would think Seokiee was personally scouted by YG -- just like how it was with Mino --

 

after scouting Mino -- YG even personally told Deep Tone to teach Mino --- then Deep Tone told YG -- "what am i supposed to teach him? he's already good -- and so he told YG to just  play it out --- see how it goes -- meaning just let Mino be -- and that's how Mino became how he is in YG -- 

 

 

c'mmon Seokiee!!! please please please by first quarter of next year -- hopefully you have learned whatever it is you need more to learn in YG so that you can debut right away -- 

 

Jinhyeong is tricky though -- he can be with Seokiee -- or he just might be put in Yedam's group -- let's see how YG would play him up ---

I understand Team B wanted to remain together,  is normal,  they've trained together for two years, knew each other and shared a common dream, but I don't understand their hostility toward Hongseok. Some of them left  me with a bad taste in my mouth. And B.I is supposed to be a leader. iKON dream vanished for me not only because JinSeok is not there, this is an important factor, but also because Mix&Match made me see  some members in another light, my connection with them have changed. I'll continue to keep an eye on Bobby's solo activities, but ikON is no more close, they are just another k-pop group. Neverthless I wish them good luck.

 

i felt the same way -- i saw an attitude about them that i did not like -- at all ---

 

really really turned me off -- i gave them a chance actually -- for i admit i am Team A all the way -- 

 

however -- as i am a YG stan -- i was trying so hard to like them and i was ready to root for them -- slightly --- tee hee!

 

but yeah -- i saw them having all those attitude -- like really now? -- i don't care what circumstances they are under -- whatever they may have felt that time --

true -- we may never truly know what or how they are really --- but in that few seconds-minutes -- i caught a glimpse of how they can be towards a person -- and yes! it left a bad taste in my mouth -- 

 

and so --- i'm sorry couldn't stan them now -- but i am rooting for Bobby -- when his Mom told him to not curse on SMTM3 anymore -- he actually did listen and stop doing it towards the end of his stages -- i mean he could have easily said it is what it is in HIPHOP and RAP -- cursing and stuffs -- but he stop doing it -- and he's ok to do so -- must have been hard for him to persuade his mentors to allow him not to say curse words anymore -- lol!!

The difference is that Mino is a great rapper. If Hongseok were a rapper, I wouldn't be too worried about his future within YG. Even though YG has broadened its sound considerably, it still like to maintain that faux swag/hephap image. 

 

don't worry -- Seokiee is good as well -- he is good in singing -- he just isn't used to big stages -- big things happening to him after being immersed in school life  -- could be nerves messing up his mojo -- and could be the kind of songs he was singing in M&M messing up his technique ---

 

at the last episode -- the final stage -- Seokiee shined -- everything was on spot for him except the dancing part (slightly needed more oomph)

 

and so Seokiee i think just needs a little tweak here and there in his singing and stage presence and confidence -- moreso in facial expressions in boppy songs -- ballad he got it on spot -- but boppy songs? he need to work on it more --

 

 

same with Jinhyeong -- he is just bidding his time --

i really have to say Seokiee got good breathing techniques when singing --- singing all those high notes non stop and in varying range -- yeah!! he got some good set of lungs as well -- lol!!

Actually, his breathing isn't so good. His high notes are shaky.

It's an okay perf. since it was his first though.

I hope you guys realise that JinSeok are not the best out there. In fact, they could be considered bad. 

What these boys have is a huge potential of growth.

 

Great singers are everywhere but great singers with star quality to go with it are scarce and this is what I see from Seok / Jin.

 

hopefully they'll train well and comeback to slay those charts 

 

it's not about being shaky --

 

but the stamina of holding a high note -- that's what i meant when i said he got good breathing technique -- and he got a good set of pipes -- a good set of lungs --

 

some singers when belting a high note -- much more a prolong falsetto -- they easily lose breath --- prime example would be Bom -- she has a very bad habit when it comes to breathing in belting high notes --- she easily loses breath -- 

 

for Seokie a newbie with limited training -- he didn't lose breath -- after a high note -- there was not any gap -- if there was it's only like for a split of millisecond  that he has to do another strong - prolong a falsetto -- 

 

he didn't buckle -- nor was he even having a hard time -- you don't see him straining to reach it or to prolong it -- you don't even see him having all those weird faces trying to hold a high note --

 

whenever i see him doing it -- it's like a walk in the park for him --

 

the shakiness must be because of nerves --- but he is stable in holding a high  - prolong falsetto - high notes --

 

he doesn't lose breath -- he doesn't buckle -- 

 

that's what i meant by it --

 

when you breath or catch your breath at a wrong note when doing a high note -- for sure you won't be able to hold it -- you'll stop right away at the middle of it -- without even ending it properly --

we need to let those knetz and fans alike know about this one --- so that they can create a stir ---- 

 

the mistake YG did cutting the ones that actually has talents for team Ikon --- tsk!

imagine JinSeok weren't even training hard prior coming to M&M unlike the others who were training all their life -- and yet? JinSeok were like above them -- 

 

only shows JinSeok has THE talent -- the voice -- their talent are above those trainees despite their lack of training -- 

 

only means they got the skills -- they were unpolished and untrained (haven't even been on a stage like WIN or YG family concert stages) -- they were like babies in a survival show -- babies when it comes to perfoming in big crowds -- babies in everything --

 

and yet at the final M&M stage -- whoah!! they KILLED it -- not the killing level of professional artists -- but killing it in the trainee level -

 

JinSeok have advanced set of skills that long time trainees wished they had -- no wonder too YG only demanded a year of training for them ---

so i was watching NO MERCY show --

 

there's this one guy who came from JYP -- almost was a GOT7 member but he was cut off -- 

 

so there he is again at Starship -- 

 

if he won't make it in Starship -- would it be possible for him to go to YG?

 

he could be with Seokiee and Jinny ---

 

his voice is also nice -- my goodness and he is hot hot hot too!! --   

 

oh and if i may say so --

 

one of the judges also looks like Seokiee the one who was wearing glasses -- lol!
