I just hate not knowing what is going to happen.

 

What happened...how it happened...just doesn't sit right with me.

 

I am still supporting IKON because there are members that I like, but I don't have any respect for YG at all.

 

I can't handle the uncertainty too :( 

Where will they go? Will they go their separate ways? What company will take them?

I can't help but still feel bitter. They did not deserve all the bullsht. They have everything going for them, they are good-looking

and they already sing well. They just need a little more training.

 

I still refused to believe that no one voted for Hongseok. I can't help but feel that it's so bias. It's sooo unfair whhyyy.

They are always saying this and that bla bla about potential but no one has really fcking actually acknowledged Jinhyeong and Hongseok's potential.

They always see the most potential in the kids who started out with no background in singing or dancing like wutt...

They always see the rappers as some type of messiah who can save the world. They keep prioritizing and shoving in our throats the idols who can rake in the most money, who are all hiphop and sht.

They couldn't care less about the vocals. Not an SM fan but at least they can pick out some of the best vocals (eg. Chen)

and their visuals are nice.

I can't believe how low YG's standards are. Are they really satisfied with what transpired? 

Yup, I'm starting to lose some respect in them too.

I made my non kpop-friends judge who sang the best in the finals. I also made sure not to introduced anyone of the boys.

Lol everyone had a hard time pointing out who from who so they sent me these screencaps instead.

 

 

LTNS

 

 

Everyone pretty much loved Jinhyeong, even the guys. No surprise there.

"He has a good voice"

"He has the best falsetto"

"Orgasm"

"Is he korean? why is he not white lol"

 

 

Yunhyeong was loved too.

My friends thought Chanwoo was ok when they first heard him  . They were pretty much indifferent.

However, they commented that he was not given so much lines and he kinda faded in the background.

Almost everyone loved that ENL performance.

There's so much uncertainty right now but I just hope that wherever they go, they will be treated fairly and they'll be happy  .

I have mixed feelings about Jinseok being captivated in the yg dungeon.

 

It's true that yg has very good training in dance and stage presence departments. They're the best in terms of pumping up a crowd or captivating an audience(unless, jinseok decide to go to the ballad/rnb route because they don't need to hype up a crowd)

 

I'm not saying that their voices aren't good enough but it's true that they are still lacking in those areas. If there's anything that Chanwoo is better than the two of them, I think it's confidence, so I think yg training will be able to pull that out as well as hone their stage mannerisms/facial expressions. Yg can also give them input on song writing and composing so they could really benefit from that.

 

On the other hand, I'm still worried about their vocals. Yg sucks in training GOOD singers. They are pretty good in turning bad vocals to mediocre vocals but that's not saying much. After a yg singer reaches a certain peak, I often notice that their voices deteriorate or fluctuate.

In the rare cases that yg singers do get better, it's most probably through their own efforts.

I hope Jinseok will pull off a Minzy and wow us even more with their singing.

 

Yg also likes to delay everything and will probably throw off trainees if they are not satisfied, if the trainees are not their favorites or if the trainees get sick on waiting too long. Not too mention their artists also suffer from the favoritism issues and endless delays.

I hope this will not happen in Jinseok's case since they already have a pretty huge fanbase that are ready to pull out pitchforks if yg decides to give them the unfair and delay treatment.

 

IT ALSO REALLY SUCKS TO WAIT FOR THEM BECAUSE I WANT TOO SEE THEIR BEAUTIFUL FACES OPENING THE GATES OF HEAVEN AND HEAR THEIR BEAUTIFUL VOICES CLEANSING ALL THAT IS EVIL IN THIS WORLD.

I can't imagine IKON now covering Winner's Empty for a special performance during concerts or whatever. But imagine if it was OT5+JinSeok.. Junhoe will be singing Mino's part in the beginning (because B.I just can't..), Jinwoo and Taehyun's parts will be sang by Jinhyeong, Hongseok and Yunhyeong (damn the falsetto!!), and Junhoe with Hongseok singing Seungyoon's part at the end. Too bad now that's impossible.

By next week, with the start of ikon's journey to debut, we'll see how fair/unfair the line distributions are and how they fare as a group.

I hope it won't suck with Chanwoo's addition coz as much as I am still kinda bitter with Jinseok not making it, I'm still hoping the best for Ikon.

I hope they make it big.

 

Oh, is it just me who is kinda worried for their china debut? Not because of their vocals but because of their level of fluency.

Chinese is hard to learn if we're talking about months.

I don't want them to suffer the 'just-smile-and-nod-they'll-think-we-get-it' shizz or 'f-where's-translator-noona' or 'after-a-short-scripted-message-we-are-ready-to-leave' in variety shows.

All the more so that Hongseok's addition would have been useful :(

I doubt language is too big of a barrier or fans mind that much.They'll just get translators to go on shows with them. I think a lot of groups do that (like in SHINEE, nobody speaks Chinese but they went on Chinese variety shows anyways)

But will any level of fluency make them more popular?

Seeing that Exo and super junior are extrreemmelly popular and some of their members are fluent.

Or maybe it's because those groups have chinese members I guess?

As much as I try to predict what Jinseok will be like in a year, I can't do it.

 

What will Jinhy's dancing look like? He's already a decent dancer but a year's training will make a big difference ,right?   

Will Seok become more YG-like (earrings & all) ?  (I don't like earrings on guys though    )

Will Seok learn to dance too? The way he enjoyed performing Sinosijak gives me hope

I hope that they pull a prince yoyo where the improvement is just wow, like where did that come from 

 

Out of all the trainees, Puppy is the least one who needs polishing because he is already that good. He can sing, is perfect, dance, is tall, is perfect, goodlooking(words cannot describe), is perfect. I find no fault in him really.He's gonna be the next big star!

I hope he becomes a stripper dancing machine partnered with his (improved) heavenly voice 

I'm guessing they'll teach him how to compose now!!! I can't waitttt 

 

I'm hoping Hongseok do get yg-fied, like get more confident and attitude and yup, Hongseok does not need earrings, he already has a beautiful perfect face. 

I'm also excited to see his dancing or if he can't improve it lol I'm hoping he takes TOP as a mentor or something, TOP does not need awesome dancing skills because the way he carries himself is already breath-taking icannntttt. 

 

And maybe that awful vocal teacher can help him with his singing styles so he can fit with more genres, I remember reading a comment like that here. After learning that, he should change vocal teachers fast because that vocal coach is awfuull. 

Based on the mma performance of KSY, he is good but he became throaty and strained a lot. I bet it's that awful vocal coach's fault.

 

I hope Hongseok won't suffer that atrocity because he already has good technique.

Puppy is Prime idol material    or musical actor material Yup I'm still dreaming! I want to see him act/dance/sing in the same setting *heaven*

Seok is the whole package (emotional voice,looks, brains, money, personality)   

Shading the 6th member on TV made me  He even said his gift shows his thoughtfulness 

Hopefully Seok will persuade puppy to go back to school   (The way these kids just throw out their education astonishes me!!!) 

 

 

About that vocal coach..could there be another one? Someone who actually shows them the techniques of singing/breathing ..?

Because that one keeps pointing the problems but never gives them solutions! 

The boys need a JYP-like coach to give them some extensive breathing classes    

 

GAHHH, true!!! It's so hard to wait but those years of being a yg stan have made me patient.

I want to see Jinhy undergo puberty 

 

Hongseok is really the whole package, he can be the next IU/Suzy or can be the next soo joong ki (smart and talented) and be everyone's first love. He is the boy who every girl wants her parents to meet.

True, Idk why they're setting aside education, all the more so since idol life is pretty much unpredictable. I hope they go Minzy where they go to univ after a few years.

 

And oh, I don't think there's another vocal coach for the boy trainees, for example, Taehyun was the only who thought of letting his members step on his stomach to improve his vocal color/technique. I've never really seen that awful vocal coach ever really teach them proper breathing techniques. It sucks, with Yg having that much money, you'd think they could afford a better vocal teacher.

Finally heard that LTNS fancam and what a mess 

 

 

1. Chanwoo with his awful out of tune singing killed me (0:29 part). 

Why did they let him sing the first line?! Instead of building up to climax (the baby don't worry falsettopart), they ended it at exposition. Just play the backtrack and mute that part

2. Donghyuk's falsetto (was that Donghyuk?) sounds forced. He was out of tune starting on the first line and near the middle (2:58)

3. Who was belting/screaming that line in 3:46, demnit, it sounds like a bad case of constipation

4. Junhoe was nowhere to be heard, just a few measly line here and there, add in a few ad libs. Boy needs his voice to be heard, they are seriously wasting his talent. But his throaty voice is starting to scare me, don't ruin his voice 

5. Jinhwan keeps popping out of nowhere, someone should share those adlibs with him because sometimes, he sounds so strained and grating. Some parts, he doesn't really complement the voice he's leading.

5. IKON = the only yg group where it's hard to tell the voices apart. 

6. STARTING FROM 4:12 (~baby don't worry), SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE OUR EARS FROM THAT ABOMINATION, IT WAS FINE UNTIL THE BABY DON'T WORRY LINE THEN BOOM, EVERYTHING WAS  OUT OF TUNE AND FLAT. SOMEONE STOP THAT ATROCITY.

 

 

....That softness with a just a little touch of huskiness was all gone, no beautiful timbre anymore, no smooth falsetto that can pull you out from the deep dark depths of your hollow soul. 

Jinhyeong is one with LTNS and LTNS is one with Jinhyeong. No one can replace.

Someone just posted the recent performance of LTNS I think its Yun doing those parts now, I think he did quite well too.

 

Oh, are you talking about the belting part?

Because that sounded kinda bad, especially in the "oooh yeahh part", he strained lot.

Yun sounds great in LTNS, but it sucks that he was given too little lines.

A lot of the criticism about them comes from their disillusioned fanbase. That speaks volume. They wont fare better with casual fans and outsiders. Look at the comments Lufy posted.  

 

As much as people rightfully criticize Chanwoo for his lacking skills, you cannot deby that OT6 as a whole is not ready to debut. The fancams from the tour proved that. Their glaring problems are hard to overlook.

There's a reason why casual fans just won't shut up about how bad their vocals are or how mediocre they are. With 7 members you would think they would struggle less and it'll be harder to see their faults but unfortunately, this is not the case.

It's Yg's fault. They way they are promoted/marketed is so dumb, from the favoritism issues, using jinseok as sacrificial lambs, to taking over the world with their music.

 

Like how Yg keeps labelling them as the next Bigbang, it's irritating. Bigbang is one of the most well-rounded groups I know and Ikon is far from that(as of now). For one, I've never really seen an IKON fan who loves all the boys equally. It's always "Bobby x1000, BI!!!"

Two, Bigbang can go solo if they want to. Sure, IKON can go solo as well, but will it sell?

Three, all bigbang members excel at the designated roles they play. All their talents are comparable and no member outshines another. While the roles of some Ikon members overlap badly and it's always "Bobby, you can work less harder now, bobby is a beast, Triple kim, all i see is you"

 

Being a hiphop group in this hip-hop infested world of kpop, you have to be different and unique and I really don't know how they can pull that off. Not to mention their songs are not really wow (after climax), and it's irking how some fans/yg praise it like it's some god-given music. And sure, a kpop group always have one or two mediocre members but if they want to rule the world like they're saying, they gotta think twice. I hope they see the bigger picture, see how the general public/casual fans accept IKON and not based their decisions on some (usually preteen/teens) obsessive ot6 fans. These batshit fans have the tendency to be volatile, once their oppar does something they do not want, they would jump ship instantly. While the general public is the true investment, they will keep IKON running for a long time.

 

Really, I hope Yg would stop pushing them as the next big thing when they have yet to prove something because the hype he keeps trying to stir is backfiring. 

Casual fans/ non-fans now keep asking, "After years in the yg dungeon training, are they ok with debuting like this? With this mediocre talent? mediocre songs? Is this what yg calls the next bigbang?   "

And he's rich and smart im drowning in hongseok feels huhu.

Tbh, his voice is already better than some of the idols now..

Not to mention some idols had a clean slate, they had no singing talent when they started while Hongseok is already that good with only two weeks of training.

If he's good now then he'll be even better with training. Unfortunately, some kpop fans keep forgetting that idols are singers too and they settle for less smh
