2020 has been such an exciting year for Gfriend thus far and its only 1st June

with all the new (and current) ig pics from the girls...i'm really curious to know what they filmed (sowon's ig story showed a peak of some filming equipment while sinb's post showed a corner of what looks like some sort of script)

p.s. what are the chances it's memoria season 2..? especially considering their upcoming July comeback and how season 1 was literally filmed the week before crossroads came out

on a separate note, it'll be interesting to see what kind of ig feeds the diff members will have (random, one column same photoshoot, colour-themed) 

as much as these individual accounts are for fun / for the fans, hopefully it can open up more endorsement opportunities & help the members build their own brand or niche

i feel like the top candidates would be MGT, Rough, and TFTMN. I personally feel Rough is too perfect as it is to redo in an interesting way. TFTMN would be neat, but my pick goes to MGT since it’s one of their oldest songs so it would be cool to see how they did it today.

Well we already got a ballad ver of Rough during G.G.G. and the bossa nova mash-up for TFTMN 

MGT is a classic example of Gfriend's "powerful innocent" image but I would love to see them reinvent MGT in a more "passionate melancholy" manner!!

Sirens in greek mythology were about seduction and longing.  A siren's song, metaphorically, is something you yearn for that maybe isn't the best for you, or is potentially dangerous, or just something you can't have, but you can't get out of your head.  I suspect the concept will be more like wanting something you shouldn't than Gfriend actually being the sirens (y'know, luring people to their deaths), but I suppose we could get a fantasy concept... it'd certainly be different for them.  Either way, it's def a darker tone.  I'm not sure that'll fare that well among the gp in the summer, but for my own selfish desires, dark dance-rock could be cool. 

The thing is, just from the title, Song of the Sirens totally sounds passionate melancholic, not different from their usual direction.

i def think its interesting that with SS SouMu chose to market it as "the true meaning of SummerFriend". Even FS, while the marketing focused on their "mature image" it was also being pushed as "a performance suitable for hot summer".

Yet with SOTS they barely mentioned anything about it being a Summer Comeback or maybe not yet lol

Either ways im super intrigued as to what this drastic change will take the form of, especially given their hair colours

though I want to reserve comments till we actually hear an audio snippet

im interested with the colors. Sirens are known as seductresses but also they are associated with water  which screams blue to me.

with SS it was quite clear which direction their next logo was gonna go but with this one, i honestly have no clue what SouMu is gonna pull for the next in the 回 series

i thought the logo this time reminded me more of a ship's wheel, which would then make sense that red is the main colour for Song of the Sirens.
