Another thing, I believe the distribution right is signed by Soumu not Bighit. Since Bighit already mentioned they won't involve the operation under Soumu. Bighit only involved in their music producing/maybe shared some other resources with Soumu. Hence, as long as any contract signed by Soumu  itself with other comp, Bighit have no control unless they all agreed to pay the cancellation fee. (P.s this is how business work & this business operation I meant only for GFRIEND , I not sure how it works for the project ngg's business  operation maybe it work like how their previous gg , G*am).

If you asking why the albums are selling under wv. For me , wv shop  works like soribada & other online music album shop so Soumu is just letting wv to sell the girls album & merchandise via wv shop. This doesn't mean wv is their distributor/bighit has control on the distribution even wv ever email to buddies on the late delivery of their album that is the printing comp delayed so I think the printing comp means Kakao M. Maybe those who have the girls last yr album released can double check is kakao M logo on the CD.

As for future, maybe soumu may change since Bighit changed their distributor early this yr under YG plus. However, I still unclear about the YG plus & Bighit business project as in whether this will also apply to their Bighit labels. Since when the news was released they only explained on the business project not much on how it will affect on Bighit sublabel , though most said it will apply o their label artists as well but we will not know until we see it ourselves since none of the label artists are having their KR cb as of now. P.s. this also applies whether the agency willing to pay the cancellation of the contract. So all depends on Soumu

So for now , we only can say Soumu's distributor is still under Kakao M  since it was proven with all their previous released albums including the 3 albums released after the acquistion

i've switched to YT for streaming gfriend now and i realised that the labyrinth/sots/wn albums were provided to YT by BH whereas all their past albums (even FS) were provided by loen so ,, hopefully we at least get some songs back on spotify soon, especially since mago was such a strong gainer on spotify

I also believe it will be the 回 series album. I do hope we will get back some songs on Spotify. Just don't know how long it will takes

still sucks that all those streams will be gone... just like with youtube.  Such a shame, even if they're just numbers.

I think for P*ation artists album like Hy*na & J*ssi's the stream no was given back to the stream no .before the removal  yesterday

So yesterday there is a viral twt going on among kbuddies twitter timeline, the viral twt said he/she was in a same lecture class Yuju

(below is the viral twt & an explanation by yuju_stan [p.s. is not the actual translation of the viral twt, is just generally telll us Yuju is taking uni lesson during their break])

I think we can confirm to say Yuju is currently studying

Just in case you forget/don't know  where & what  she studying

As for whether this means no comeback (hard to tell) , after all I don't think uni studies need on weekdays like mid-school & high school, I think like most uni is based on lesson schedule. I also saw many idols able to complete during their busy singing life or other jobs apart being a  uni student

I was actually just wondering about this!  I sort of figured that she had dropped it to make time for work, but it's exciting that she decided to continue with her degree.  I bet she's a good student. 

As an aside, I'm happy they're having a little hiatus.  They had a super busy year last year, and I'm glad they get to rest a little.  Comeback next summer maybe?

Actually I did have a feeling summer cb when Umji said they are taking a break.Since start of the yr, I  rather them to come back in Summer . I want them to have a good rest & comeback with a good song & promotion. But when that incident happen, the more I want them to be back in Summer

I think why many are upset abt the little hiatus  is because of  following (p.s based on a few twt buddies views & kbuddies guess):

1)  the JPN official twitter emoji hints last month that cause buddies to believe is near. Just like SOTS, their JPN twitter hinted it, hence some kbuddies believe the 2 twt of Sowon & Yuju selca with the few emoji"  will relate to their next KR cb and since SOTS hint was 1 month before APPLE cb so that is being rumored a few  think is Mar/Apr ->(p.s kbuddies only said they believe the hint is more for KR cb, they never mentioned when just some who followed those kbuddies think is Mar/Apr plus there are some who follow pr*diction acct )

2) Sinb practice for the high heels Dance cover aka they believe is for Studio Choom cover => cb is near.

3) Or Umji's that IG dance cover/project that they think is for Studio Choom => cb is near.

4) Yerin, Sinb & Umji appearing on variety show, doing for some content, or appearing radio recently => cb is near. (since this was like a normal pattern we seen before the last few cb)

5) Maknae Line (Yuju, Sinb & Umji) frequently go back to practice room. (p.s for me , since Yuju has already been cleared on wv that she will go to practice room with or without having comeback. To me,  Yuju going to practice room doesn't mean they coming back soon)

Personally, looking at Soumu being quiet & the little content release each week, i think Soumu still monitoring or still trying to wait for that issue to die down or maybe waiting Sowon to be more confident to be back in public for promotion. The rest of the girls will focus more on their individual activties. I believe now Soumu rather focus on the mentality of the girls now the fact the situation of KPOP & Kdrama is messy so Soumu want to be extra careful for the next cb and the mental health of the girls?

 

My opinion about the dance cover which Sinb & Umji practised (under spoiler)

 

I do agree is possible for Studio Choom, is also possibly not, just their internal comp thing? (P.S just maybe my own feeling)I think I seen rumor provided by insider (not sure is it 100% insider)  that there maybe an inauguration ceremony for the new BH building. I don't remember clearly but I think I seen B*S translated account mentioned about there will be performances for the opening of the new BH building. Though I don't remember whether the article mentioned the  performances will be done by their artists or some non kpop performer. Hence, my feeling for those dance cover possibly is for this rumored inauguration ceremony/opening event. Ofc, those dance cover by Umji & Sinb may be possible for their new YT content. Just that currently, I kept thinking is for the rumored opening event for the new BH building (though I do believe is impossible due to the pandemic since I don't know have SK govt lighten the restriction as they are doing the vaccine drive
