Spoiler I decided to spoiler because a lot of buddies seem to be really pleased with the comeback so far (not just here but on other social media) and I don't really want to ruin the mood with my ramblings LOL. Tale of Glass Bead I really want to be super excited about the Tale of Glass Bead from last night but I feel like I'm lowkey a bit disappointed in terms of execution especially. We've always known that GFriend MVs involve a lot of storytelling but I feel like the back story we got last night didn't really take into consideration what GFriend have previously built and instead they decided to form a story and then incorporate as many previous MVs as possible. The story didn't seem like it was already there from the beginning but instead just produced for this comeback, throwing out a lot of theories that the fandom had originally created. The way the old clips were put together with the English narration seemed a little like a fan-made video and the story seemed a bit forced for the sake of connecting as many past comebacks as possible whilst neglecting some of the key stories like TFTMN/Sunrise. Big Hit influence When the acquisition was first announced, it was said that Source Music has full creative and artistic control of GFriend but everything about this comeback so far seems to have a lot of influence from Big Hit's artistic direction/aesthetic. I find it a bit hard to believe that Source Music would have executed the comeback this way if the acquisition didn't happen. Maybe I'm just being needlessly worried but I'm afraid that their artistic or musical direction will change despite the promises that it won't. I'm hoping the release of the track list tonight will bury these concerns and we see some familiar composers for this album. Overall, I feel like I'm very cautious about this comeback despite being excited for new music and content. I think Noh Joohwan and Lee Wonjong for title track makes sense considering Crossroads seems to be continuing from TFTMN and Sunrise.
