Is this a good representation of skin tones by Revlon?

For skin tones in general? No. What is this from? If it's for some sort of product that wouldn't fit other skin tones I guess it makes sense?

The first girl is so pretty wow

It's from their actual website. They use those 4 girls to show how lipsticks will look on different skin tones. I do wish for more variety, especially a very dark skinned girl ._.

What I mean:

Not a good representation...there is way more different skin tones than 3 different shades of white.

I'm pretty sure the last girl is black lol.

Yeah that doesn't make sense... it's not like only people w/ light skin get lipstick. Even if you don't consider it discriminating, it's still stupid as they're alienating a large portion of the market.

I think it's a great idea, but there is still not enough diversity.

yup, and as they seemingly use the same picture for all different colours it shouldn't be too difficult either

looking at the bb cream they use different models depending on what shade you choose...

Maybe they don't have anything darker... or maybe they'll add it to the site later?

Oh wow. It's not often that they show actual before pictures. Yeah they don't have anything darker which really bothers me. But it's a good start, since a lot of websites only have a white model.

heck no. not sure why companies don't want to have more customers by making more skin tones available. Whatever, I'll be over here at the fashion fair counter

edit: apparently they are trying to show off how lipstick looks on different skin tones. Still not helpful to the women who are darker than the light skinned black lady they have. There need about 3-4 models imo...

EDIT: Re BB Cream...Afrobella wrote up a good post on where to find the BB,CC,DD,EE,LMNOP,etc. creams for folks darker than khaki

I don't really see a difference between the before and after pictures.. .atleast not w/ the Asian girl. Except for those 2 dark spots, it looks the same. The medium deep girl is more or less the same too. For the other two you can see the pores more clearly in the skin, and there seems to be minor scars and stuff. Still not that different though. Do they even need it?

I think they have really really good skin (which makes sense, I mean they are make up models xD), but you can barely see their dark circles in the after pictures.

Revlon is one of the few drug store companies that actually sell products that are light enough for my skin. Makeup companies have different skin tone ranges. For example I can't use Rimmel London because there lightest shade is about 5 shades to dark. It's not about racism it's just that they decided to cater to lighter skin people and I thank them for that.

Heh, I don't really think dark circles are a bad look unless they're very obvious, making you look tired. The third girl doesn't have any, the first two are barely noticeable, but yeah there's a clear difference for the last girl, even if it looked good before. I didn't notice it before you told me.
