Although I didn’t see it directly, Taecyeon who did efforts to memorize 150 English words everyday, while willing to lose 10 kg for a casting until the passion he had to return to school for the sake of his faith, he the one who’s walking on a path without limit. Man who has spirit, Taecyeon this time came back as an actor.

He was like a friend from the beginning. He’s always overflowing with energy, a friend who’s always positive on everything. Seeing him in person is good.

Because of caring deeply Taecyeon really thinks of the coordination with his co-actor importantly. Understanding the director’s orders well, of course he is am actor with sense.

Taecyeon is back. As a 2PM member who left home for 2 years of overseas tour business, the one who stood as a actor again through drama ‘Who Are You.’ He said “I really missed acting.’ Him whose filmography isn’t much, hitting it at the end that he didn’t want to bluff, he added. ‘Although right now is so much fun, being able to do this I’m relieved. Do you know? After the drama ‘Dream High’ I was just doing 2PM activities that’s why I couldn’t do acting. I really missed those moments of staying at the site til after night, memorizing the script with Suzy and Soohyun, sharing one can of energy drinks every morning.’6 years as an idol (although 2PM themselves said they are ‘Grown up Idol’) even though he has been accustomed to his familiar singer life, there is also a greed coming up to do things he hasn’t experienced enough. But even there are tough moments, if not only for missing the thing he likes he wouldn’t have been able to say it easily. ‘For me, not matter what it is, I’ll do it with fun.’ Taecyeon is doing fun with the things he likes. Thanks to ‘Cha Geonwoo’ that I can become more charming and I can enjoy the actor feeling fully.

Q. Through first cast production ‘Who Are You’ ‘Taecyeon’s re-discovery’ praises can be heard. Thankful to the acting skill which is more stable than before, yet what kind of issue was there 2 years ago?
Taec. There wasn’t much time to practice for acting. In fact, this time drama’s preparation wasn’t enough. Because I was so busy with 2PM schedules during these 2 years. Instead, during that time, while having many kinds of experiences, I think I learned how to express myself freely. Now it seems worth it, yet I’m still lacking.

Q. I heard you were nervous at first.
Taec. Before the start of the drama, we had team dinner. At that time, I asked Kim Changwon teacher ‘Am I doing well?’ and he replied ‘Yes, you’re doing well.’ But then he call me again and hit my head. ‘This guy. Why did you open your eyes that big while you’re acting! Your energy went off. Try to give some more.’ He said. That’s because I’m doing acting after a long time. But with relief yesterday I received compliments because I did better. (laugh)

Q. While doing the role ‘Cha Geonwoo’ seems like you will take down ‘Taecyeon feels’ with what kind of character do you want to express it?
Taec. Doing it until now, amongst the characters I have done, there was no character who talks so fast like this one. It’s quite good… (laugh) Reading the script, I had to act while just saying complaint words. Making use of that point, I did many adlibs, while learning from staffs on the site and also the seniors. So E-Hyun whom I met for the first time through this drama is forever an angel. Even when I do mistakes, she understands well, also about the emotion things.

Q. 2PM all members are actors. Do you point out each other’s acting or you also praise each other?
Taec. Rather than praise, we give support message more. Recently, because of doing solo activities, we can’t see each other often. In Kakaotalk group chat, we ask each other and give support to each other like ‘be strong.’ Few times ago, if Jun. K watched ‘Who Are You’ on TV he took pics and proof shot of it and sent them.

Q. We’re wondering what kind of conversation is there in 2PM Kakaotalk room.
Taec. from ‘let’s go have girlfriends’ ‘next album’ until ‘things about concerts, because there are many various notification sounds, I sometimes have to turn off the kakaotalk alarm. One day,I even received 140 kakaotalk message, the members really talk a lot like this. (laugh)

Q. This year you had graduated from school right? In the university you took business as your major, this time that you took international studies is surprising.
Taec. It was during my trainee period when I took business administration. At that time, I thought that if I couldn’t debut, I will try to do business afterward. (laugh) When I graduated, I got a big opportunity which is when I went to Africa last year for a voluntary activity. At that time, when I shared my story with the KOICA members, I thought I saw my influence. My twitter followers was 40k people, If I wrote there, those people would see it right. Even it can’t be separated, I thought that this influence would help in international relationship. Eventhough in fact I don’t look for something particular, I heard ridiculous things being said around me such as ‘You won’t be going to the UN by doing this.’ But I think it’s all fine.

Q. At that time during the voluntary activity seems like you have high level of realization.
Although those people’s environment isn’t good compare to us, but they are always happy. They have to row for 4 hours to seek for water, yet still dirty water came out. At that time I received a cultural shock. I thought of ‘Until now I’ve came out well through 2PM, that’s when my true happiness was.’

Q. If you wouldn’t have been in 2PM, what had you been doing by now?
Taec. Working at the office. At trainee time, I ever became a translator once. It was in Rain’s fanmeeting at the company, I translated the script needed. Because it was a sudden translation, a problem also appeared on the venue screen.

Q. Doing schedules, doing study, there won’t be any spirit. If you could afford to get time what will you do?
Taec. Composing songs at home or looking for good music. I think while listening to the album all the time for the first, I will be able to pick different music. I also like comics. I’m in the middle of waiting for ‘Singeki no Kyojin’ full set, and recently I’m reading ‘Gantz’ comic.

Q. Then during that time, the thing you can’t do because of having no time?
Taec. Originally I was going to travel with my parents after finishing 2PM’s activities, but I couldn’t do that when drama filming already started. Since I was in the middle school, I had always wanted to travel altogether with family anytime.
That would be fun, but actually my parents have been traveling a lot without me and my sister. Few times ago, in family Kakaotalk chat room, they also took and sent a pic of them being in Canadian Rocky Mountains. I felt like a bit left-out.

Q. You had experienced a marriage in the movie ‘Marriage Blue’ and ‘WGM Global Version’ how do you feel?
Taec. Since I was a child, I have always thought to marry quickly. Although I targeted 27 years old, but now I’m 26 years old already, next year will be a bit hard to do. In the movie, I did it as a couple who have been long dated. While in ‘WGM Global Version’ I did it with the person I met for the first time. (laugh) Experiencing these two kind of cases, I think marriage is never an easy thing.

Q. I have read an interview in which you said you target to have a happy family someday.
Taec. Yes, it’s true. That is my final target in my life. Now at my age, if I think about it, I have been doing well with my family since I was a child. It will be good if in the future my children realize they grow in a happy family. When others see it too, they will be able to say ‘Taecyeon really looks so happy.’

Q. Looking at how you do as actor Taecyeon and singer 2PM, you must have met many people. What kind of people are you friends with?
Taec. Speaking of my surrounding, first of all it’s easy to get close with me. However, how close is it, I draw a good line. Starting from then, it will be hard to go over the line. Maybe I will open up to those who did thing truthfully. I can see those who try to approach me easily. I like people whom I can tell the things I’d like to talk, also those whom I can talk to with a relaxed open mind.

Starting this first work with a serious acting. Responsible for the role ‘Eunjo’ who protected Moon Geunyeong and simple and honest ‘Han Jungwoo’ role. There was no the coming and going ‘beast’ which is displayed on stage, but changing to do it innocently and kindly.

Dream High, 2011
Appearing in ‘Dream High’ as he missed acting and because he would doing it with friends. So with that, for him it’s a good memory and opportunity to work on. He acted ‘Jinguk’ whose cheekiness was good and although he smirked, he had wounds in in his heart.

Who Are You, 2013
His first project which is getting the best viewer rating for every episode. With the word of ‘suffered Cha Geonwoo’ is enough to cause the viewers to give empathy on his act steadily. To say it bluntly, he made a successful comeback after a time of 2 years.
