Concentration 20

PLAY

Queen of Hip-Pop

Past < Future

SWEET 19 BLUES

FEEL

Break the rules

Style

Uncontrolled

DANCE TRACKS, VOL. 1

GENIUS 2000

However, I still think Concentration 20 was more Tetsuya Komuro featuring Namie Amuro, but anyway, as a cohesive pop album, it's pretty flawless

GENIUS 2000

Dance Tracks vol 1 (technically not namie amuro but w/e)

To be completely honest tho, probably my most played album of hers is LOVE ENHANCED, I just adore the rearrangements and seriously do not get me started on I WILL and Say The Word, too bad those 2 masterpieces are exclusive to the single collection.

Had Namie just skipped GENIUS and Break the rules, which let's face it, were the definition of filler albums, and just done LOVE ENHANCED, it would have been one of her best albums. But 'alas, it was not, and now we have to learn to live every day with GENIUS' diabolical 2nd half

Let's not forget that the masterpiece of a song "Dreaming I was Dreaming" was also on a compilation album....Ugh. Why are some of her best ballads on compilation albums??

Pretty much the only songs that save GENIUS 2000 are the singles. =/ I Have Never Seen = one of the best songs on the album. Same with Break the Rules, though there are a few album tracks like Crossover that are worth listening to.

I think thats about right? I feel like I'm missing one though. Oh well.

FOR WHAT ITS WORTH- AND YOU ALL MAY STONE ME FOR THIS, I think "When Pop Hits the Fan" is possibly her best album . . . but because its Suite Chic I'm not including it.

From the top of my head:

1. Best Fiction (Not sure if it counts but it has the 60s70s80s songs which are some of her best)

2. FEEL = Past < Future

3. Play = Uncontrolled

4. STYLE

5. Concentration 20

6. Queen of Hip-Pop

7. Dance Tracks Vol. 1
9. Genius 2000
8. Sweet 19 Blues
10. Break the Rules

Gonna go and listen to all her albums now, after which I'll probably change my ranking.
