Just wanted to come in and say hi. Finally decided to make an account and to make my first post in this thread. Still waiting patiently for their debut song to show up in itunes.

 

WELCOME and hi!  First post too!   I've been checking daily, multiple times on iTunes.  So far no go. 

 

I noticed when I type "í¼íŽ„즈" into the iTunes search box I get 2 (yesterday was 1) SBS Radio podcasts.  We have the performances listed on the 2nd post of this thread, but not the entire shows.  It's not the same as the singles, but it gives me hope.

 

Oh yeah, for the badges, we'll need 4 custom award items that can be bought on the 'Wonhallyu' section of the site. I'll buy one, but I'd appreciate if others can buy the other 3~

 

Are they already in?   Have we decided on the awards/badges or are we going to wait a bit?  If we vote on the awards/badges, how about listing them in a post and I can link it in the Announcements on the OP?  How ever you guys want to do it. 

 

I briefly read up on custom awards but not enough attention to know how the process works.

We or you should make a poll about the fandom names that are now. I was thinking of 10 fandom names and then vote for the favorite. After that we could suggest them to Purfles in someway. I'm not sure how.

We can do that!  It can be a fun nickname for the group.   I'm not sure how that works either.  I was told that sometimes it's by the companies and sometimes by the official (registered) fans.  I'm guessing it goes through both channels and the company has the official say.  Maybe someone in this thread knows how fandom names work. 

 

So how do we sort out the 10 fandom names?  Do we just compile a list and add all of them into the poll?

On the threads are actually the translations but since that is like hard work to backtrack you can just watch it without them.

Yeah, I'm seriously hoping Purfles will have people who can translate.  They've already come out with several interview videos and I'd like to know what they are saying.   Like what compliments did K.Will give them after their performances. 

 

I wonder what the K-fans think of Purfles. 

 

 

Well this is what I know.

When people want a new award, they are requesting a custom badge award and that cost around 250,000 won -I'm not even close to that- and then before requesting the badge. You'll need 3 keepers (they are the ones that are going to keep the award. Like show it either up next to the other 3 badges or just in the list if you go to you profile.) and you'll need supporters. So far I know you'll need 6 supporters. Plus when the custom award has been chosen. You'll need the original picture with the badge and link it to them plus the list of keepers and supporters. Then all we need to do is 3 of the list of keepers and supporters have to quote it and voila we have our badge.

 

I'll be a supporter for all of them. Since I'm not yet able to obtain my next award. I'll do that later.

 

250,000!!!   Freak I need some tokens.    Is it a one-time request or for each keeper = 250,000?

 

Ok, so these awards (big ones) are for 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and then 250 onwards right?  So we'll need 3 keepers (sounds like Harry Potter ) and 6 supporters.  Do we even have those numbers yet? Haha. 

 

I know for the awards/badges we need to sort it out because I understand it's a pain to change them once they're included into the system.  Almondandlime created some awards the members should look at.  Maybe other members will also contribute since I'm sure there will be different opinions on what should be official. 

 

Because of the image limitation per post (I believe it's 14), once we get the award nominees I can compile them into one image, and each image will have a number to it.  We can vote that way.  Maybe we can add the image to the OP or the 2nd post for easy access.

• Yeah when we have a favorite. We can call ourselfs temporarily that fandom name. Like how it went with exo or wa$$up (exotics and $wagger$) and no I don't know either how fandom names are made. I think if all 10 are posted on their daum, twitter and facebook. They'll notice it and maybe take them in consideration. But again I don't know how it works either so yeah let's hear it from a other person that does know.
• About that. You or I could already keep a list until it reaches 10 and then you can make the poll with the ones in the list.
• 1 Person buys it and this person can decide to be a keeper, a supporter or just neither. So the keepers don't pay for it. I see you have zero award but you have a lot of post. So right now, you can request 8 badges. If you want you can be a keeper or a supporter. If you are the keeper of one of the badges. You don't need to pay unless you request a custom badge for a new badge.
• I hope that helped more. But you can also (only if you want) keep all 4 badges. The group and the individuals. But that's up to you.
• Personally I think it's to soon for individuals. Let's just go with a group first and wait until they have gained more fans on here. Then we can always do the individuals.

You noticed I have no awards.   It's mainly because I don't have biases (in any group) or stan artists or groups.  I am a fan of many groups, but there are some groups (like Purfles) that I have more of an interest in.    I don't mind at all being a keeper, and if I can get my hands on more wons (or tokens) I don't mind purchasing the award either.  I think we can also donate wons to members so whoever purchases the custom award, we can chip in and donate won to that member.  It's just a suggestion.

 

So just to be clear, if we get a custom award for the group (Purfles) does that mean for each member award someone will need to spend 250,00 each?

 

Ok, so that sounds like a plan.  We can compile the list and then make it into a poll.  Personally I feel like Purfles is a strong and empowering group.  They seem to exhibit a positive image which I especially like.  For a fandom name I also like a play on their name.  Or maybe a play on the name's meaning. 

 

I like this site which has a list of fandom names and their color associations.

Yeah I went to you profile to see if I needed to explain anything. But you have no awards and I understand why.

 

Yes the group cost 250,00 but also each member costs 250,00. So in total 1,000,000 won for all 4 badges.

Also, from taking a look at all 3 of their Twitter accounts it looks like Eun Yong seems to know a bit of English and has cousins in Canada.  Woo Young seems to be fluent since more than half her responses are all in English.  Geon Hee's tweets are all in Korean.

Should we start the prelims for badge voting? I think I've made mock badges out of all the official photos that were released. There might be some new photos released later on but I guess we could add them later in the voting.

 

I'm up for whatever the group wants. 

 

I have pm'ed OHuzr about how we could do the poll. So I think we'll be able to vote soon. Oh and there are 18 names at the moment. But it's going to be cut down by voting.

I think the voting won't be over in just 1 week.

 

Should we suggest the 5 top names to Wooyoung and ask what she thinks? After the poll has been set to that off course because we still have to pick our favorite out of the top 5.

LoL, be careful what you tweet her is all I can say.  I wonder if a setting was messed up though with all the retweets, lol.  I think it would be good to ask them because it would be nice to try to get an official name of some kind instead of us just choosing what to call ourselves and having to change it later when an official one is decided, lol.

 

Eunyong was the first to tweet among the girls and it was to a user who followed her.  Just so happened that Eunyong's account was following back.  I'm not sure if that was her intention, but soon after I posted about it, her account unfollowed the fans and kept only the official accounts.  I felt bad for that user who tweeted her because she was so happy that Eunyong had initially followed her.  I wonder if that user is a member in OH?

 

I am happy that the girls are getting just about an equal amount of followers.  I hope it stays that way.

 

Makes me wonder how well they're doing with koreans? It seems international fans are being very welcoming of them already, but I wonder if it's enough.

So thanks to jadakiss13 over in the Sistar thread, she translated what K. Will said about them in this video (I thought he had compared them to Sistar, but I was wrong.  Shows how much I want these girls to be successful that I'm hearing things, lol).  They've also only been together for a year before debut.
 

 
In the start he asks if they have sang their song live on another radio program and they said yes. He said it was a shame, since he wish their first live radio was on his show (it was on Cultwo). Then after they finished singing he started to praise them and said that for a group that was only a week into their debut was great. He asked when the group was formed and they said that they have been together for a year now. He said that was impressive. He started to read comments from netizens (they are doing great, fighting, they will be going to a lot of performances/events so they will be busy soon) and one netizen said they should sing and dance (stand up). So they did and a member of Sweet Sorrow (indie group) who was also there was impressed by them and at one point covered his mouth (guess to hide his excitement).

K.Will's response is good news!  Initially I thought it was the other guest (Sweet Sorrow is an awesome vocal group! ) had asked the girls to stand up.  I'm sure the comments are screened, but it gives us some idea how they're doing, and it looks like they're receiving positive responses.  Plus, it's good to know that they have a busy schedule.  Very exciting news!

Thanks to 9Girls-9Muses=TheDeathOfMe, she compiled a list of (possible) fandom names for Purfles from member nominations.  Vote for the names you like (multiple choices).  The names with the higher votes will move on to Round 2.  Eventually the winning name or names will be submitted to the girls (not sure yet on the method).  *It's not guaranteed that these names will be considered, but who knows, right?   Anyway good luck!
