The three-member girl group Purfles debuted in October 2014.

Their name means that they′ll decorate K-pop with great music.

The title track "1, 2, 3" starts with a strong melody, and continues with lots of fresh sounds.

It′s a song about heartbreak, but with a twist. The girl in the song is scolding her friend, who can′t get over her ex.

KBSWorld is usually a week or two behind since they actually subtitle the Music Bank broadcast.  Maybe we'll get lucky and see them upload Purfles perfomance to their KBSKpop channel after the weekend.

Aw, they cut it.  I was hoping that Simply K-Pop would be full.  They usually have good stages.  The girls look and sound good so it's ok.

I'm starting to wonder if the 3min version is the "full version" they're performing on all music shows since Simply Kpop never cuts anything from what I've seen.

 

I'm not that tired after watching all those Purfles performances! We'll see how long that lasts though, lol.

 

I don't blame you.  I watched all the ones you linked to right after I edited the posts (3 or 4 times).    Nice outfit change for Music Bank.  That looks similar to the ones we saw in the pre-debut videos.  I wish the Cultwo was in HD, I love that performance since the vocal track was low.  You can really hear their solos and harmonies.  At least we got to see their conversation before and after the song. 

 

We need translators!

So after reading thru this thread, and given the lack of info about them so far, I see there are still a lot of people curious about Purfles.  What are the most important/common questions that you want to know about them?

 

I guess any information pertaining to their profiles (so we have something to fill in). In addition any trivia, like fun facts, that fans would like to know.  Are you planning to tweet/write to them?

Nice and thanks for the link!  I'm usually skeptical whenever I cannot verify the physical (autographed) items, but...I went ahead mainly for the song (even if the digital is released).   If the autographs are real then sweet! It's funny because first, it's not for sale.  When selecting the CD if you select "Out of stock", the price is $999.99. Haha!

These girl made a very strong debut with "1,2,3", and I'll definitely follow them in the future :3

LOL, I didn't pick up on that until you mentioned it, so I took another look (several).  While a soft squeeze Geonhee's hand hit bullseye! I guess it's similar (but not as blantant as the touchings in Stellar's "Mask" MV), but the fact it was on stage is funny.

I probably used the wrong word there, meant "girl to girl" like a girl talking to another one with a bit of tough love in it, because she's a her friend and cares about her getting better ;D

The eBay guy has 5 more in stock.  I contacted the seller and he's backing his word that these are real autographs.  I have no reason to doubt him, but even if I did I wouldn't know what the real autographs were anyway.   It doesn't matter, I just wanted the song.

That's what I thought originally when I read the lyrics, but I misread Delphine's post so yeah, I caused the confusion.  I've personally seen through situations like that so it's much more common than not.  I don't normally read KPop lyrics, but I wanted to know what this song meant.  It's indeed a powerful song.

  Great questions! They'll need an interview for those! I'm also curious what their background in English is.  I don't know too many groups who reply back in English.  I think one of them (was it Eunyong?) that said she has a cousin in the states?

I swear you two both surprise me.  Cleansing Cream was performed live numerous times as it was the track they released along with their repackaged version of Sixth Sense (their 4th album) back in November of 2011 (only 3 years ago).

 

In a good way, right?   I don't remember the song...But I bought it!

So KBS posted Purfles debut performance in underwhelming 480p (to be fair, they posted all the MB performances on the channel from this week that way). Guess we'll have to wait to see it appear on KBS World with a full Eng sub and high definition.  Or maybe they'll re-up the videos in better quality.

Use Google Chrome and be sure quality is set to 360p60 (even though it'll probably automatically set to this, it's at 60 frames per second and looks gorgeous).  I think we'll see a lot of fan cams start uploading like this now that You Tube is offering it.  And I say to use Google Chrome because You Tube is owned by Google so they play nice. ;)

 

Same applies to the previous video uploaded with 720p60 and 1080p60 as choices.  While I can't speak for anyone else, for me the 720p60 version on You Tube showed up cleaner while the 1080p60 had a lot of noticeable artifacts.

If anyone wonders why this is a big deal it's because You Tube was capping all video playback at 30 frames per second previously. Anything you'd typically watch in HD whether it be a movie, TV show, etc. is normally 60 frames per second (in other words, You Tube is finally able to allow HD content to be displayed how it should be).

Yay!  It's a good start for YouTube.  It's still not quite the HD quality as I'd like it to be but they're getting there.  It looks as if the video was over-processed at 1080.  Nonetheless I can't complain because for me this is the best performance to date.  Just one camera and no camera effects! We got to see all of the girls at the same time.  That's how I like to see performances.  Also, it was the entire song!  No cutoffs!

About the name I saw the post on their mv teaser. He/She said that "They took it from the meaning of the word "purfle" as a decoration on the lining of an instrument, dress, etc. to be "singers who will decorate the music industry" ".

This is their second cover of Bruno Mars.  I guess they really like this music.

Damn! Eunyong's high note!   We never got a chance to really hear her.  She has a nice tone to her voice.

This performance had the softest vocal track and reverb so we got to hear more of their voices.  Their harmony is killer!  There's a part where Eunyong sings at the same time Wooyoung does and she nearly sang her part too soon but caught herself right at the note.

It says Purfles in hangul, but it's quite stylized in the way it's written which makes it a bit more difficult to read than usual.

 

Yeah, I figured as much when I added it to the header in the OP.  I saw some of the characters so I knew it was their name.  The last character I couldn't make out as much, but I think it's quite stylish how they did it.
