Glad Purfles made your #1 this week!  Hopefully it does next week too ;)

 

I like watching your list because you include some Japanese releases and I don't really follow that industry anymore.  I haven't heard anything from Daichi Miura in awhile and seeing Bring It Down in your list reminded me what a great choreographer he is (as well as a composer, although I'm not sure if he composed the song himself or not - I read he and Shingo Okamoto did the choreography).  It also reminded me why I'm completely underwhelmed with so many k-pop boy groups choreography, lol.

Go ahead and re-ask, it's ok.  Mostly people have asked things like, "what inspired you to become artists, who are your favorite other artists to listen to personally, how long did you train/etc, what languages do you speak, and do you have any special talents, etc.," but if you have a different spin on those same questions or want to know something more specific, go ahead and post it.

 

For Geon Hee, how do you know/did you meet BESTie's Uji and Fiestar's Yezi?

 

Also, from taking a look at all 3 of their Twitter accounts it looks like Eun Yong seems to know a bit of English and has cousins in Canada.  Woo Young seems to be fluent since more than half her responses are all in English.  Geon Hee's tweets are all in Korean.

Like: there is a battle going on between fandom names for Purfles. And when names aren't chosen: Wooyoungie~ these names haven't made it. But the best ones are battling now.

 

I think she'll like to hear that. That we are so active with them.

 

 

OMG they are so freaking adorable, I wished I could have been there.

 

Should actually ask Woo Young if they have any suggestions and hopefully between all of us come up with something.  I think that would be pretty cool

I feel like as long as you've asked her and then follow-up later to tell her we made a poll, that'll probably get her notice.  I'm pretty sure they'd want input on their own fandom name, lol.  MrJKpop could try asking her too ;)

Anyway, I may have a chance to contact them a bit more... more details on that soon.  In that case, I could ask them about the fandom names. 

 

LoL, be careful what you tweet her is all I can say.  I wonder if a setting was messed up though with all the retweets, lol.  I think it would be good to ask them because it would be nice to try to get an official name of some kind instead of us just choosing what to call ourselves and having to change it later when an official one is decided, lol.

I know!  haha.  I'm not embarrassed by what I tweeted her...  I'm embarrassed by what other people tweeted her about me and she apparently agreed with / responded to / retweeted

 

I don't think her twitter was messed up though... she definitely didn't retweet all the tweets she was tagged in, but it's awesome that she retweets / responds to so many fans! 

 

Like I said before, I'll try to ask her about the fanclub name... just be patient everyone

 

 

The only thing I saw remotely embarrassing is that Hyomin stan of T-ARA who suggested you go shirtless in the MV and she re-tweeted it, lol. Although honestly if I were you I'd be less embarrassed and more amused, lol.

 

You're right,  after looking again she only re-tweeted some things like you said (I hadn't looked at the dates and just saw a bunch of things re-tweeted at once), it's awesome she's so responsive with fans

 

Hopefully everyone will calm down a little (I don't think I've ever seen such a rush for badges or a fandom name on OH before), although I understand how badly all of us that have found Purfles want them to be successful because the 3 of them sound so amazing together!

Makes me wonder how well they're doing with koreans? It seems international fans are being very welcoming of them already, but I wonder if it's enough.

So thanks to jadakiss13 over in the Sistar thread, she translated what K. Will said about them in this video (I thought he had compared them to Sistar, but I was wrong.  Shows how much I want these girls to be successful that I'm hearing things, lol).  They've also only been together for a year before debut.

 

 

In the start he asks if they have sang their song live on another radio program and they said yes. He said it was a shame, since he wish their first live radio was on his show (it was on Cultwo). Then after they finished singing he started to praise them and said that for a group that was only a week into their debut was great. He asked when the group was formed and they said that they have been together for a year now. He said that was impressive. He started to read comments from netizens (they are doing great, fighting, they will be going to a lot of performances/events so they will be busy soon) and one netizen said they should sing and dance (stand up). So they did and a member of Sweet Sorrow (indie group) who was also there was impressed by them and at one point covered his mouth (guess to hide his excitement).

Cool!   I don't always agree with idols having SNS (misuse or posts/pictures taken the wrong way), but in this case I think it is a good thing, as the girls are reaching out to their fans. 

 

 

I'm also curious about their roles.  In their international twitter account it was tweeted that the girls don't have a main vocalist, since all of them are strong in their own right.  So do they have any roles (like most idol groups have) or no roles? (if the latter we'll need to update the OP as we have Geonhee as the leader)

 

 

Maybe we could ask who's the best dancer in the group? (although I have a feeling it's Geon Hee, lol).  We have the roles listed because I believe in their intro video, that's what they stated when they introduced themselves.  Geon Hee introduced herself and said she was the leader and when Woo Young introduced herself she said she was the maknae (which she is). Although I was also thinking if they don't really differentiate positions maybe we could just take that description away and simply list Geon Hee as leader and Woo Young as maknae

 

I wonder why they stopped promos on music shows tho

 

They didn't.  Like KillerBee said, it's because they're rookies.  At best you get a debut performance and then "if" they can fit you in, you can appear again (unless your song becomes wildly popular which never really happens for a rookie group).  If you're from a large company like SM, you can appear on every music show even if you're a rookie group like Red Velvet because you're in one of the big 3 companies, so to speak.  I would've said the only exception to this is Simply Kpop, but given there are so many rookie groups, I think their schedule is packed nowadays as well since you'll even see groups debut on Simply Kpop that don't even get onto the other shows.

 

I remember it took forever for Starship to get the privileges it does now like the other top companies, although I also think it was more due to Sistar getting along with everyone at SBS, KBS, and MBC.  Like the staff at all those music shows and networks love having Sistar around because they're so nice, easy-going, and fun to chat with.  Because Crescendo is also a small company it seems like Purfles will also have to make their own impression at those shows and networks as well for them to be invited back more regularly in the future.

 

It looks like Purfles recorded for Arirang's K-POPULOUS earlier this week so people should keep an eye out for that on the TV listings, we'll probably get answers to some of the bigger questions about the group when that airs.

Yeah, what's up with that?  He had SO MANY awesome fan cams.  Is his account turned off or something?  I was annoyed to see he'd posted like 8 new ones and I couldn't see them because his account is like blocked or something. I'm hoping it'll be re-instated because he had some great fan cams.
