Ahh well I wanted to ask this:

1. You guys are called Purfles now but did you have other names. If so what where those names?
2. What where your thoughts when first hearing 1,2,3 and did you like it?
3. What was you first impression on you fellow band members?
4. If you could transform into any animal. Which animal do you want to be and why?
5. If given a opportunity to collaborate with any artist. Who do you want to make a song with?

Are these good? I think I'll just stick with these 5. You can choose yourself which ones are asked.

For Geon Hee, how do you know/did you meet BESTie's Uji and Fiestar's Yezi?

 

Also, from taking a look at all 3 of their Twitter accounts it looks like Eun Yong seems to know a bit of English and has cousins in Canada.  Woo Young seems to be fluent since more than half her responses are all in English.  Geon Hee's tweets are all in Korean.

Hahaha.  Well, I honestly am having trouble picking a favorite!  They are all great! 

 

But I mean, the fact that Wooyoung is sweet enough to actually talk to me on twitter, and the fact that her vocals are KILLER, and the fact that her stage presence is downright captivating.... and... and... yeah, none of those things are hurting her chances of being my bias ;)

LoL, be careful what you tweet her is all I can say.  I wonder if a setting was messed up though with all the retweets, lol.  I think it would be good to ask them because it would be nice to try to get an official name of some kind instead of us just choosing what to call ourselves and having to change it later when an official one is decided, lol.

 

I know!  haha.  I'm not embarrassed by what I tweeted her...  I'm embarrassed by what other people tweeted her about me and she apparently agreed with / responded to / retweeted

 

I don't think her twitter was messed up though... she definitely didn't retweet all the tweets she was tagged in, but it's awesome that she retweets / responds to so many fans! 

 

Like I said before, I'll try to ask her about the fanclub name... just be patient everyone

The only thing I saw remotely embarrassing is that Hyomin stan of T-ARA who suggested you go shirtless in the MV and she re-tweeted it, lol. Although honestly if I were you I'd be less embarrassed and more amused, lol.

 

You're right,  after looking again she only re-tweeted some things like you said (I hadn't looked at the dates and just saw a bunch of things re-tweeted at once), it's awesome she's so responsive with fans

 

Hopefully everyone will calm down a little (I don't think I've ever seen such a rush for badges or a fandom name on OH before), although I understand how badly all of us that have found Purfles want them to be successful because the 3 of them sound so amazing together! 

 

Yeah... that was one of them hahahaha.  I guess I'm just shy, not really embarrassed.  I still have trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that so many people actually take the time to watch my videos, let alone tweeting with a super talented and nice Kpop singer who I admire.  Anyway, she seemed to think that one was funny so it's all good :P

 

I know everyone is super excited about Purfles and getting fandom things moving, but just try to wait a tiiiiiny bit longer, and there is a chance I'll be able to get answers to all of your questions directly.  Don't lose enthusiasm for them though -- I know I won't!

IDK, I thought so too... which is why I suggested it.  Maybe I'm more familiar with the word because I build guitars -- but look up "purflings" online, and it totally makes sense with the group name

I'm also curious about their roles.  In their international twitter account it was tweeted that the girls don't have a main vocalist, since all of them are strong in their own right.  So do they have any roles (like most idol groups have) or no roles? (if the latter we'll need to update the OP as we have Geonhee as the leader)

Wow, very cool to see them on the radio!  Sounds like they couldn't hear too well when they performed 1,2,3, but they powered through it pretty dang well!  Geonhee sounded really great today!

Yes, I love radio with videos!  I still didn't finish it.    I love the English/Korean format, it cannot be easy for the DJ.  Stephanie (like IsaK) is a natural.  Geonhee's expressions were cute during the English parts, she looked lost except for key words like "amazing".

 

 

 

Yeah I forgot to mention that.  The host is AMAZING.  I was in awe of her going back and forth so well with the languages, and doing it in a way to not confuse purfles or the english listeners or lose interest at all.  Crazy good.

But seriously, she so nice.  They all are really -- you can tell they actually read stuff sent to them -- not just give generic responses, which is awesome.  They absolutely remember people too... again, they don't just blindly respond and give generic answer at all.

This one actually sounds like we are hearing the (or a) live performance version of the backing track that they use and NO live vocals, which is quite rare to hear.  Essentially, this is what the producer of the TV broadcast has playing behind them and their live vocals are mixed into it.  What we are hearing is what happens if none of the members sing whatsoever or their mics are cut completely. 

 

I'm guessing whoever made this Youtube video tapped the main camera feeds for video but accidentally grabbed only the channel of backing track audio off of the main mixing board.  Another scenario is that they had their live mics or receivers fail, and the TV producer didn't have the full studio version there to cue up in time so at least they could "fake" a live performance to it, so they just went ahead and played the backing track.  I would bet the members were actually singing live, and may have even been broadcast live -- it's just whoever made this video didn't pull the full audio mix, and accidentally grabbed their backing track only.  It would be a major screwup if this video AND audio is what went out to broadcast! (and no fault of Purfles AT ALL either).

 

Anyway, the audio being the backing track only is why the choruses, harmonies, and doubles are all at near studio track volume, but other lead parts are MUCH quieter, ducked out in odd places, or removed entirely.  This allows them to sing all the leads live and have it fit right into the mix just like the studio version, and also have that faint reference to listen to of the lead tracks to keep on pitch / timing. 

 

The bridge dropping out entirely is SHOCKING to me.  Especially for a rookie group... that means if they don't sing that MAIN focal point of the track, and nail it live, there are NO background vocals there to help them cover.  They are totally exposed.  Very gutsy and impressive move, considering the fact that there are only 3 singers in the group, the amount of dancing and singing and the level of being tired by that point in the performance -- and the fact that the norm even for REALLY impressive vocal groups like Shinee is usually not to ever be 100% exposed and without background vocals in the backing track at ANY point!

 

Anyway, you'll notice in some parts the leads are completely there -- those are spots they have determined whoever was supposed to be singing there needed a breath, or was shaky, or just generally needed some reinforcement.  Interesting how the Wooyoung parts are the quietest (meaning, when we hear proper live performances, we are hearing MORE of her actual live vocals)... although not at all surprising.   That girl can sing.  This recording REALLY shows how much of her you are really hearing live though, and that's really impressive!

Guys I had a dream about Purfles.

 

I kinda hope that will happen in the future. Because then we could like communicate with them on here and ask them regularly how they are.

 

They seem to be doing very well, and planning cool future stuff, don't worry
