I was seriously squealing throughout that part as well. Like damn can you make it any more obvious? And the whole "She has the power to move hearts" KYAAAAAAA x infinity

I watched episode 7, and damn, it was amazing. I can clearly see now why the drama staff added the broadcast asshole character into the game. And Jamie's double con of Shin Sung Rok and broadcast asshole was just mind-blowing tbh. I have a feeling that she is being played by both of these guys though.

I can also see a very clear shift in how Ha Woo Jin is acting, and how Nam Da Jung is progressing as a character. She is no longer naive. Innocent she has remained, as well as good hearted and pure, but she knows her stuff now. I really love the added touches in the show where Ha Woo Jin shows real appreciation and pride at her efforts, it's making me fall deeper into this OTP and is adding emotional depth to their interactions.

Shing Sung Rok is just absolutely magnetic as a performer. He has such a presence, he's so captivating and yet at the same time so unnerving. It's unbelievable. Ha Woo Jin also commands attention, and I love how the show is portraying these two as being the opposing powers here. It's just ramping up the tension because for every move that one of them makes you're sure the other has a counter ready and planned for several steps ahead as well.

I also really like what they are doing with the other side characters. They are fleshed out and real personalities, I feel bad for them as well as disappointed in them when they act according to their instincts instead of their better natures.

When Choi Seung Hoon got happy at the promise of getting a girlfriend I was reeling in shock. Not because he was being potentially bribed at the hope of getting a girl. But the thought that this kid would ever have had difficulty in finding a girlfriend in the first place? NGL, I would have thrown myself at his feet. But I would have done that for HWJ and Kang Do Young as well, so I probably would have never made it to Liar Game anyways XD

I'm going to have to rematch the episode with full subtitles to understand completely what is going on, but I agree. This was definitely the most challenging game yet. I'm so excited for episode 8, especially with that cliffhanger ending!

Ahjusshi! Oh ahjusshi! I am so glad they saved him! I love his honest character, it acts as a much needed foil to all the betrayal and lies so present at the forefront in the show.

Questions for the next set of episodes:

1) What do you think PD is going to do about KDY? She seems suspicious but unable to act on her suspicions

2) What do you think the connection is to L company? This has been a major theme throughout and there are already some theories, but it'd be fun to see who is closest at the revelation

3) And just for fun, post a gif or picture of the most attractive moment of one of the male or female characters from the show so far!

Omo hi my fellow jinseok stan! This is the first time i get all excited about a drama really.

Goddamn Professor Ha getting those blushy cheeks from Da Jung. I got all "awww" at that part but Do Young rolled eyes at his answer and it kinda got hilarious for me.

I enjoyed episode 7 so much and I can't wait for more. Though I kinda already know what's in for episode 8. I was laughing at how the real president candidate being all fired up and wanted to win the game so much. He distorted his image of being a wise and kind politician in "real life" and shown his true colours in the game. Didn't he realise that he's gonna be on TV lol. I can predict that no one's gonna vote for him in election. And Jamie got too ahead of herself, I can see her falling out of grace lol.

Props to Nam Da Jung for stepping her game up. Yes, she isn't that innocent naive girl who has to ask for Woo Jin's help. Applause to her for giving the idea of using a false statement for game strategy.

I love the both leads' chemistry as opponents and their lines are well-balanced. "She speaks too lightly" I think the reason why Fortune Teller Pipi being eliminated by Do Young was because she uttered lines like "you have a face of a traiter who betrays your family and owner" "a face of white tiger waiting for its prey" etc. She will be gone once she leaves the game. What a character, i feel bad for her.

And Ahjusshi! Yes! I'm still skeptical at the start of the episode whether is he on Kang Do Young's side or not. After he got all beaten up I got persuaded that he's on the good side.

As for the questions, here i come!

1) What do you think PD is going to do about KDY? She seems suspicious but unable to act on her suspicions

For now, she acted on her own and accepted Woo Jin's proposal of adding Ahjusshi as a candidate. I feel like she knows KDY is the one pulling the strings behind-the-scenes but in the end she's still one of his chess pieces.

2) What do you think the connection is to L company? This has been a major theme throughout and there are already some theories, but it'd be fun to see who is closest at the revelation

I actually think it would be too mediocre to think that KDY is actually the son of the president of L Company and he had been plotting this to take revenge on Ha Woo Jin. For me, it may be revealed that KDY, indeed, was truly a stock analyst and the one who watched the downfall of L Company. He made the show just to mock the people involved and Ha Woo Jin would be made a fool at the end of the show after he reveals the "truth". KDY kept emphasising on "isn't it fun" to watch people getting ruined. Maybe he's a sadist. Hah, we shall see. It would be interesting to see others' predictions as well.

3) And just for fun, post a gif or picture of the most attractive moment of one of the male or female characters from the show so far!

Jinwooppa! My girl! OMG I did not know you were a fan of this amazing awesome drama as well! Yeah I totally cackled at KDY deliciously sarcastic eye roll at the blossoming romance. Dude has some pretty smooth moves himself, so he could definitely work that second lead syndrome if he wanted to. I doubt he is capable of feeling any sort of emotion for other people though beyond amusement.

Also I tried to up vote you but I've run out for the day   Just to make sure you knew I am not an unfeeling piece of mould. Because I shall come back and give you proper credit for your awesome post once this up vote thingy replenishes.

I'll answer the questions now, because I just realized that in my haste, I forgot to answer them myself XD

1) What do I think the PD shall do about KDY?

The first thing I noticed was that the PD did not tell NDJ about her father calling. Why? Did she not want NDJ to lose motivation to come on the show? Or perhaps she wanted to protect the girl and tell her later, away from watchful eyes. She used to think she had an ally in KDY, but now she's probably realizing that she's dealing with two sides of the same coin with broadcast asshole and KDY. She definitely suspects something, she definitely knows that HWJ is involved. And I suppose she also suspects that physical violence is also involved. She's been indirectly threatened as well.

I think she hates to be made as though she were a puppet. I think from what we have seen of her characterization that she is definitely motivated by personal gain by participating through the program, but she does have a conscience, especially for NDJ. I think she will eventually join forces with HWJ and NDJ to ultimately end the game. She may also be the one to discover the connection to L company, because she is presumably in contact with NDJ father and with KDY. Those are my predictions.

2) What do I think the connection is?

This is difficult. Sorting out the information known thus far, HWJ mother ran an orphanage, in which L company was somehow involved and resulted in her incurring a lot of personal debt. NDJ father received a tip that L company prices were going to skyrocket so he invested in L company which resulted in him incurring personal debt when the company crashed. The other people are supposed to have some other connection to the company but we don't know what yet. Ahjusshi's old money lending company. Money Money also has ties to L Company as well.

My prediction? I think this is where we shall see the introduction of a secret underground organization introduced as it was in the manga, and thats how the connection between the companies shall be explained. In terms of who I think KDY is, assuming that he is around the same age as HWJ, then it's not unlikely that he was an orphan as well. But I'm honestly not too sure about that. I do think that HWJ's mother's debt was possibly preplanned in order to make HWJ do what he did and set all this in motion, in which KDY may be involved personally. Sadist? Who knows. Broadcast asshole does not seem concerned about Ha Woo Jin, he just wants the power of the program it seems from KDY.

We also don't know what L company was for exactly. HWJ states that it was just a front for a larger assortment of other companies, belying that their is some sort of industrial complex behind this all, which I think is the secret organization. I think the link is that these people were affected by others in their life due to L company being closed down. But thats highly tentative, and I think my answer will probably change after seeing episode 8 and hopefully gang more information

3) My favourite question  :meow:  Shin Sung Rok could make a rock blush, but this part where Ha Woo Jin was staring up at the roof at the pictures of his mother literally knocked me out.

tumblr_nevzscOVd91rie5sro1_1280.pngThose eyes OMG. That perfect facial structure! The grunginess combined with the polished sophistication of an intellectual man. *Swoon*

Yes yes I'm been watching since its premiere!! Sadly there's only 2 more episodes left of this greatness. Aww thank you for your vote, you're so sweet :)

I love your prediction! And about the PD, she hiding about NDJ's father might be her own secret card amidst the chaos between the broadcast asshole and KDY. It may be a turning point once she revealed her dad. On a side note, I can't stand another person and not KDY reading the game rules on ep 7.  :unimpressed:

Oh yes have you watched ep 8? Your prediction was right! And I'm pretty sure the ending will be good. All in all this show is about plot twists and more plot twists. I'm glad that the remake is good.

The writers deserve a few awards for this show. The cinematography is great, intelligent script, actors are great, lots of eyecandies, what more can I ask for?

I'm swooning over Lee Sang Yoon every episode, he's hella fine.  :hehe: We should have an appreciation thread for him.
