Is/was there a Social Hierarchy at your school?

Idk my school has a lot of diversity so there's ratchets who think they're above everyone and there's popular white people who think they're above everyone.

I think everyone knows the popular white people win everything like homecoming court and shit but nobody really cares

In a way, they're like celebrities in that everyone knows their business and their secrets spread around like crazy

Yes, in my year there is and I hate it so much

-There's the popular kids who all look and dress the same and think they're better than anyone else

-there's the middle popularity people who hang out with the "populars" and the "nerds"

-there's the nerds who spend all their time doing homework and complaining about teachers and they will have absolutely nothing to do with the popular kids EVER

-and there's the "weird" ones who are super cool and accepting of peoples differences

-and then there's me with literally 1 friend.

Yes, there's a group who think they're superior at my school. They all act the same, wear the same clothes, and are practically copies of each-other. I loosely associate - most of them are dull af. Everyone in my school knows me, though.

I went to a pretty small school but in my year group there were 4 levels and and within those levels were probably about 10 different groups. But yes, I definitely say there was a hierarchy.

With regards to bullying, in my school, the boys would pick on anyone they thought to be of a lower social status than them by teasing and making nasty jokes about people whereas the girls only fell out with other girls in their social group, they were either nice to the faces of everyone and got along with everyone OR they just down right ignored the people they considered lower than them.

Yes, I go to a highschool located in a rural area.

Racial hierarchy:

White

Black

Hispanic

Asian

Asians and FOB Hispanics are avoided like the plague in my school.

Social Hierarchy:

Popular - This consists of rednecks and hoes. Grades are terrible

Mid-Popular - Lazy people. Girls who are kind of slutty fall into this range. Attractive people are here.

Low Popularity  - People who gaf about their grades. I'm here.

Unpopular - Wannabe scene and emo kids. Lazy kids who could not care less about grades...these kids get into trouble.

Not-even-considered-as-a-human - FOB and minority races, Kids who have a rep for being disgusting.

It's sad.

When I was in high school...

Nobody got majorly bullied.

But there were people which all had specific groups, it wasnt as labelled as mean girls but u can clearly tell what kind of group there were...like there were many popular groups such as...

The Annoying Popular (basically your typical party, drinking, deliquent etc. teen), The Smart Popular (basically the well known smart people in school), then there were the ones in between those and they did enjoy themselves like the Annoying populars but werent rlyy bothers like them, but still focused on their grades and were involved in school.

Then there were a bunch of other groups which go into the -normal- class.

And your lowest class...those douchey ppl that are ignorant and/or do nothing but skip classes to smoke outside...they clearly don't have a likeable personality but they dont party it up like the annoying populars as much. They try to be unique and different from the crowd, but their personalities rot them.

In years 7-11 a social hierarchy exists because there are so many people and they all have very diverse (and clashing) personalities, and each group is valued based on stupid things such as their amount of facebook friends, who they've dated, how badass they are etc. In year 12 and 13 however there are a lot less people and everyone pretty much grouped off, with each group getting on reasonably well with each other.

I think you mean high school? Because here in college, everyone has their own friends but no one has time for that popular bullshit.

In high school, we were only like 1000? No one gave a fuck about those things, and no bullying whatsoever.

All the fights happened with students from other schools.

For boys, the biggest and best at sports tended to think they were the top dogs (also they were the ones with the least brains). They would generally be aggressive to anyone who disagreed so people let them think they were popular and then cut contact after leaving school.

For girls, it was just the prettier girls who thought they were popular and were all friends. Basically just the ones who developed earlier and were easy targets for older boys. Most people let them think they were popular until they left when the majority became single mums or worn out husks.

High school hierarchies really have no relevance afterwards, and for the most part the ones on top end up at the bottom in real life.
