I get really motivated too, by getting tips. I always tried to do my best, be friendly to all the customers and it's really rewarding when they like your service. Putting tips aside, you feel all warm and gooey inside when you know your customers are happy . And oh, I do tip when eating at restaurants. Usually 10% of the bill. In other countries, the service cost isn't included in the bill, then you have to give a tip (usually something going with a certain % of the bill) otherwise the server aren't paid enough. There, they need it. And it's really bad not to give one. You just need to be aware of the custom of the country where you are. And it's strange to generalize "Europe" here because it's different in each European countries: UK, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Greece,... all have different tipping customs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
