LC9 ended very quickly. 1 member went back to Canada and left, 1 member went to the army.... in reality they disbanded but they never officially announced it. So as far as i know, officially the group still exists but truthfully it doesnt. The last thing they did was a very simple MV in 2014. That was 18 months ago !! This one.... His great Judo performances on Cool Kiz draws a lot of attention. His performance at the National Competition should result in a lot of fanboys for Jota, who admire his Judo skills. HAHA ! This might be the "door-opener" that Madtown needs to get a chance to get popular and out of the nugu cave. *applauds Jota* JOTA FIGHTING ! B.I.G. (Boys in Groove) Also, i am still supporting B.I.G ! They uploaded some vids of the members to their official youtube channel. Check if out if You like. Unfortunately, no eng subs so i have NO IDEA what they are saying. Anyway, big fan of B.I.G but after a few months on OH i realize that its really impossible to make a nugu group popular here. I guess it will always be a few die-hard OH fans that talk about the group and thats it. NEW BADGES ? (update on my NUGU badges plans) I also gave up on making badges for B.I.G. I think only 2 users would be interested in those B.I.G badges (including me). If thats the case, it makes the badges pointless....badges that no ones wants, why make them ? I am still thinking about badges of nugu groups that have at least a few die-hard fans on OH.... for example, a Jota badge might work. Or Monsta X or Up10tion or groups like that, that have at least a few fans on OH. And of course, i am happy to be back at the Nugu Cave here, the only place that truely appreciates TALENT even when its not popular. NUGU CAVE FIGHTING !!!! Road Boyz (Show me Bang Bang) ... Legend (Shadow).... Boys in Groove (TAOLA).... Good songs, Good MVS. its hard to believe that they get so little less support when its really good. They are so unfairly ignored. I am not saying they should get the same attention as famous groups but can fans AT LEAST pay attention and AT LEAST care a little bit? Always feels like they act as if nugu groups do not exist at all and are not even allowed to be mentioned. Ugh.. so frustrating sometimes. Anyway, looking forward to 2016 Nugu MVs. Lets post here if we know of any new MVs of nugu groups. They are so much ignored that sometimes i dont even hear about a group that has published a new MV/song/album NUGUS FIGHTING !!!! So maybe you'd be more open to liking some of those groups that aren't popular in Korea (though, like you said, some of them are popular in other countries - see Choshinsei and Boyfriend in Japan). But if you're a middle schooler in Korea and literally all of your friends are obsessing about Twice (just for example) then you don't want to be that one loser who's on his own obsessing over Sus4. You see what I mean? Saying that, the Big3 branding is super strong and, yeah, not always deserved. Totally agree. Thats the problem. Once a brand has gained a lot of popularity, they just have so much influence that they get fans just through popularity. Take OH for example... i am fan of B.I.G. but almost no one cares about this nugu group. So when i make posts about them (outside the group forum and outside this nugu forum) i get almost no attention and no comments. BUT if i write something about a group of the Big 3 (no matter how unimportant it is) i get pages full of responses and people talk about it. As a result.... over time... you will be tempted to give up on the group you love and just go with the majority. Ahhhh... i wish nugu groups had more fans. Btw, i am falling for more nugu groups right now. I keep listening to Road Boyz songs and cant get them out of my ears (and my heart. haha). Also, i watch more and more "The Legend" and the new style for the new MV is totally what i like. I guess i can add more Nugu Groups to my Favorites very soon. sigh. I posted this here a few months ago : "officially Lc9 still exists, but the truth is they disbanded a long time ago." They are a few groups that are like this. They want to calm down everything around the group, let some time pass, and then (when many already forgotten the group) they give the news: "oh btw, this group is now officially disbanded, ok?. good trick but not nice. "Hey there is this new group" You keep telling other Kpop fans that this group exists... they ignore !! Then some day there is 1 song that is more successful OR 1 member makes it onto a popular Kvariety show OR they get to perform a couple of times more on a Musicshow and SUDDENLY they say: "hey there is this new group !" Look... they exist for YEARS and i told You about them for YEARS so understand that You have ignored them. Aggg *headache* 2. Live Performance Horror we all know that Korean Musicshows are horrible at editing performances. They always choose wrong cams, you miss all the important parts of the cheography, you miss the moment when Your Bias Member has his part he sings/he raps/he dances.... thats already bad enough for popular groups. But as a nugu-fan i only get a very small amount of performances of that song from my nugu group. So if they mess that up... ITS MY ONLY CHANCE TO EVER SEE THIS ! So its even more horrible cause there are only a handful of their performances and each of them is soooooo precious. Some nugu groups cannot affford buying and producing new songs. Then they are stuck with their last song. Its a clear sign that the group is at its financial limits and that they have a tough time staying alive. Thats my opinion.
