When the group first formed and debuted way back in 2007, it was just the two girls and the guy. I'll use a disbanded group as an example. Jewelry, jewelry by No means was Nugu when they debured with their original members but by the time they disbanded, they were nugu and NONE of the members were original members. Black Swan flopped so hard I almost died. And Whoo may be getting above average album sales but it's flopping hard as well. For a 2009 group to be flopping this hard after so many years, they definitely should be crowned Nugu. Sure they may not be as nugu as TAHITI, SUS4, or any other post 2013-rookie group, but they are still nugu for the fact that their still flopping going into their 7th year. Yes Nugu meaning Irrelevant to the Korean Public or at least, the Korean Music Fans, Floppers who keep flopping. To me, Nugu doesn't just mean new groups, it also means people who are irrelevant to the music world lmfao of Korea. If Rainbow is underrated or unrecognized then so are my girls RaNia and TAHITI so is everyone else's bias. But you did say you might be bias so like..... It's like when you ask a k-pop fan "Do you know Rainbow" most will say "yeah". If you ask them "Have you heard of Blady?" most will say "Who? (nugu?)". So to me Rainbow are not nugu. Now that doesn't mean they don't deserve more love than they get or that they are successful. There are some groups that a lot of people know of, they just don't like or support them. I also don't see nugu as an insult. Most of the time it's not the groups fault no one knows them. In some cases their company is crap or broke as f and can't promote them, other cases it's just Korea, as always, being blind and ignoring legit groups.
