Nugu = not-so-popular idol groups that dont have their own thread on OH ? Correct ? Yes ? I am all for it. When i started being a Kpop fan, all fans supported many idol groups at the same time. We were all fans of Kpop Idols and everyone at least liked/loved 10 groups at the same time! i am so annoyed with todays situation. It seems many fans have narrowed it down to only 2 or 3 groups they support. Thats soooo wrong !! Its a waste of Idol-Awesomeness-Potential !! I am also annoyed that some popular Youtube MV reaction channels like KSpazzing do not make any reactions for Nugu Groups anymore. They did it in the past but not anymore. Its just the same 5 groups again and again. Boooooooooo.... I shall fight in this thread for Multi-Fandom Kpop Fans !! Also if most koreans dont know about that group,they're probably considered Nugu It doesnt matter if they have a thread or not in OH,we can disscuss them all here So does that mean for example Your B.I.G. thread... i post about B.I.G. in Your B.I.G thread AND in the nugu thread ? Jungmin from Boyfriend ? Didnt Boyfriend get some attention last year ? Even if they are not "popular", they should at least be "well-known". If he counts as a nugu, something is wrong with Kpop fans. Unless, Jungmin is leaving Boyfriend.... in that case i understand why he is downgraded. Ahhh Idol World.... so cruel. its because intl fans don't make them $$$$$ i believe most International fans use free downloads and free subbed videos. Yes, many of them buy albums, but only albums of their absolute favorite groups. (there is a maxium of albums you can buy a month). i dont think new rookie groups sell any singles or albums internationally. The bitter truth is, that not every international fan is ready to go to concert or to actually pay money for the groups. Yes, i agree. international fans dont make $$$$ for Rookie Groups. I assume a group has to grow really popular in order to make money internationally. (for example: Got7, BTS, Superjunior). Even Beast had problems when they came to my home country germany for a concert. They didnt sell much tickets and they were quite shocked about some fan behaviour (different country = different habits). So its not easy. Also the black eyeliner thickness and makeup seems to match Kookie's. I am not sure about the face. You are right.. Kook's nose is adorable big, Minpyo's is smaller. I also like the debut song but thats mostly bc they use the german words "Guten Tag" in the chorus. haha. As for dance practices, i am amazed by the dances of so many idol songs. Its actually the same patterns repeating themselves, but they put them together in new combinations for every song. Its hard for me to pick one out, because almost all of them are fun to dance. The dances of the popular groups and also the dances of the nugu groups. It also depends on your mood. But yeah.. i know most Kpop fans dont like it. My german friend is really upset on them because of that i know other german fans who also like the song because of "Guten Tag". Ohh that sounds good. Who is M.Joon ? Relevant enough to not get cut performances on music shows I think Insoo is their most relevant member Insoo is my favorite member anyway. I include them in my nugu battles, I wouldn't say they are that nugu but rather they are borderline here since even though they have a decent fandom/popularity not that many people here stan/follow/talk about/know them well. So if you wanna talk about them here I say go for it, unless of course someone else disagrees. Oh... thats kinda sad. They are actually quite good. The songs are easy on the ear and fun to listen to. It doesnt seem like they lack anything... its just that fans dont know them very well. Its probably the old "no own reality show / tv show / no guest on Variety Shows" thing that holds them back. Especially international fans only become die-hard fans if they get enough clips/eng sub episodes of a group. In the beginning, when MyName debuted, they were on MTV Diary and quite popular. Basically what's left is a lucky breakthrough. That's why we have groups like Exid and Girl's Day, they had a lucky breakthrough, and then once they started to get popular all of a sudden tonnes of people who never even gave them a second glance before started stanning them and even loving the stuff they put out beforehand, only once they came popular people acknowledged them and their songs. It's really annoying tbh, this mentality of needing a group to be popular to stan them is one of the things I dislike most about kpop. Yes, true. a sad truth. Basically a bunch of live performance videos where the group wears suits. So if you want your fave included please post a link of a suitable performance and I shall include them, if not then I will just pick the groups I can think of off the top of my head. If I get a lot then I'll break it into parts and do them relatively close to each other. Ahh its so hard to find the old videos when they danced with suits. I got this one.... but its only focus on my bias from Ze:A. he dances in a suit. The other members wear suits too. Sorry, i cannot find the live video that shows them all. I feel like they spent a lot more time promoting in Japan than they promoted in South Korea. When they released their new songs in Korea i was worried that no one remembered MyName at all. Then, No appearance in South Korea for a loooong time. All the variety shows or clips were in Japanese. I felt like Japan snatched a whole Kpop group and caged them in their basement. I think if we did that then at least more people would be curious as to who they are and why we are posting about them, maybe even gain some fans, but at the minimum at least more people would know who they are now the idea sounds nice in theory. However, the majority of fans are not interested bc they only want the most popular groups and they only want 1-2 groups and not more (which is the biggest pain for me! i love how in the past Kpop fans supported many groups) and also they want to have lots of vids and updates and kshows with eng subs and a big company behind it. The nugus cannot live up to that. My personal opinion is, This Nugu Cave is a place for people who appreciate the hard work of not so-popular groups. The Nugu Cave is probably the Best we can do. Its even PINNED. So if people dont visit here, then i dont know what else we can do. Even Posting in the B.I.G. thread and pushing it up every once in a while didnt help one bit. The thing is non fans will check new threads about other groups but they won't check out artist threads if they're not a fan. That's why bumping up the BIG thread isn't gaining any new posters. At the very least posting about a nugu will let people know they exist, and that is a good stepping stone for more people to become fans :3 Ahhhhh.... Okay. i understand. Its worth a try.
