if you was born with a genetic disease that has no treatment will you hate your parents?

I am born with genetic disease and it makes my life suck... I understand those thoughts...

But I am like the only one in the family that is not able to get the surgery done that would 'cure' me and they obviously didn't foresee that.

I believe you will get better *-*

Edit: after I said this a sad song starts playing my feels

I don't know since I don't have the problem, but I think most people would at least feel a bit resentful at times. Going so far as to hating your parents would be unfair to them since it's not like they can control what genes to pass on. Hating would also be a pure waste of time and will make you feel crappier about yourself.

EDIT: I just looked up the condition your friend has. Supposedly, it's a common genetic disorder (1 in 250 people have it) caused by excessive dry skin.

Most genetic diseases are not caught until after the baby is born. Your parents can't be blamed for carrying the genes of what they were given themselves.

Now if you know full well you carry a faulty gene of some sort and still decide to have a child that is a different story...

if they had some idea that they were prone to bearing a child with a genetic disorder then yes i would

but even if they didn't i might still be like "oh woe is me" and hate them for bringing me into existence

because i've been like that before when i was depressed

had a friend with ulcerative colitis that ranted a lot about how troublesome it was but he never blamed his parents once

different philosophies i guess

Of course everyone has those thoughts sometimes, but in the long run we are all thankful for being born. Being born is a basic human right. Our sufferings after that are terrible and sad, but it's better than not living and never feeling anything. I would be thankful to my parents for not being selfish and aborting me just because they wouldn't want to see me suffer. I already suffer even without genetically disorders. Life is worth it!

sometimes i blame my parents for the lack of upbringing.. i didn't even know what an apple was wtf.. but that can be learned & changed by myself.. genetic disease is even more difficult.. would be hard to not be angry once in a while.. but what's done is done

My sister has psoriasis, It's not curable just yet. She does blame my mom a-little for eating fried chicken when she was having her, But I always help her out, It's slowly starting to fade away each day, But my sister doesn't really care about what people think.

If it was me, I wouldn't care about any diseases, I'll just live everyday the same as I always had.
