NOT the 'best of friends': Daniel Radcliffe reveals he never sees or speaks to his Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint and Emma Watson

Since its Harry Potter week, I wondered if they still hang out. But sad, I gotta say I'm surprisedd , they were together since they were 10 until the last movie ended a couple of years ago

They may have been best of friends in the Harry Potter films but Daniel Radcliffe's and Rupert Grint's relationship in real-life is rather different.

 

The film's main star has revealed that he barely speaks to the red head but is good friends with his female co-star Emma Watson.

 

Radcliffe, 22, made the frank statement while speaking to the Sunday Mirror recently.

'There's this idea that Emma Watson, Rupert and myself are the best of friends who always hang out together,' he said.

 

'I'm just going to put [it] out there - Emma and I text all the time but Rupert and I never text each other, we never see each other.

 

'If I see him every six months or so, it's a friendly "Hello, how's things with you?" But that's about it,' he added.

 

The revelation may come as a shock to fans of the famous books and films who have followed the duo on screen over the past ten years.

In a recent interview, Daniel spilled:

"I haven't spoken to her in quite a while. I'm sure we'll see each other at some point. We were all together for 10 years, so we're excited to meet new people now"

the chances of them all actually becoming best friends was pretty low to begin with :/

Not surprised by this now but that older report about Rupert would have shocked me back then. I always thought they went to concerts together. They seemed to like the same music..

This is normal though. I know they're friends since they were kids, so people expect them to have some super strong bond, but most of the time that rarely happens. People grow up, go through puberty, some of their personality traits change here and there, and next thing you know, you two don't click anymore like you used to. It happens.
