Do you think akb48 is creepy?

Recommended Posts

i found this documentary about akb48, this was back in their early days.

the creator of this group clearly states he created akb48 so men can have nostalgia of their how school days

and young girls. before akb48 got famous fans could chat with the girls on their cellphones.

is this creepy to you?

If anyone is creepy then it's the middle aged men that drool over them. (or like...stab them..)

but as other people said, it's just their concept and they have a lot of other fans as well.

Never really know if I shoud like Aki-P or not.

he always writes such perverted lyrics for young girls

Stop it, teacher.

Class is about to start.

Stop it, teacher.

You are, you are the teacher.

I can’t understand math at all.

It’s like I’ve just given up.

Derivatives, integration, quadratic functions

A desperate situation, red marks on my paper.

The trump card is, the guy on the teaching platform

At an angle can see my skirt, a glance

So I’ll add a little bit of sex appeal.

Stop it, teacher.

It’s the more innocent route.

Stop it, teacher.

I am, I am a student.

It’s like I’ve started to be noticed

By that eye, I’m serious.

But, even though he has a wife at home…

Mmm… He probably likes this sort of thing.

Once I’ve told him everything,

Come to school infirmary,

If I just show him my young skin,

I don’t have that much to lose.

Stop it, teacher.

We should stop this adultery.

Stop it, teacher.

You are, you are the teacher.

Stop it, teacher.

You’re middle aged and not my type.

Stop it, teacher.

I am, I am a student.

You are, you are the teacher.

What I can't understand is the wotas who buys tons of cds just for the handshake/senbatsu tickets. Then throw the cds like trash. But I don't think Akimoto or the girls care anyway. The more cds they trash they more wealthy Akimoto will be.

I think this is quite crazy.

Not at all. Yes their concept has always been "idols you can meet", and yes they've done some daring things in the past (at debut, some of their lyrics or concepts) but since 1-2 years after debut, they mostly do public-friendly songs and concepts. and besides, the most "contact" a fan could get with members is shaking hands (even this, now there's a lot more security) so it really isn't anything "creepy" at all.

AKB's fandom isn't that different from any regular girl group though, and I say this for both Jpop and Kpop. Yes they have a good part of old/creepy men as fans, but so do pretty much all girl groups. AKB also have lots of fans from all age and girls/boys. I'm their fan and I'm a girl + in my 20's, lol. and I like some members including 15 years old but it's not for creepy reasons? I mean, in Kpop too, when idols like Krystal or Sohee debut at 14, it's not like all their fans were girls under 18. They had their uncle fans and male/female adult fans as well, so it's same for AKB, it's nothing unusual and it's same for all girl groups. It's quite ironic seeing Kpop fans think of AKB as creepy or slutty, when Kpop girl groups the past 2 years have been doing a lot worse in terms of selling sex in the most cheap ways, lmao. and that whole "most popular girl group in army" totally not creepy at all, right? lol.

As much as I love the catchy tunes and adorable outfits from AKB48 and other groups alike, I still find the presence of the concept of "psuedo-virginal-innocence" to be rather unnerving both in Kpop and Jpop, where grown women are either infantilised or young girls are sexualised to some extent, just take a look at AKB48's Heavy Rotation MV, incredibly creepy how the setting is almost childlike and infantile, giving off the feel of innocence, then you throw in some pre pubescent looking girls who are partaking in quasi-homoeroticism and dressed in lingerie, as bubblegum pop is blaring in the background. /shudders/ Highly disturbing.
