Luhan

[sina Entertainment News, 10th of October] Exclusive news from Sina Entertainment, Korean boy group EXO’s Chinese member Luhan, at 9 o’clock in the morning, represented by his lawyer, has filed an indictment with the South Korea Seoul District Court, requesting to invalid his contract with S.M. Entertainment. In the evening, S.M. Entertainment has released an official statement, claiming that Luhan only cares about (his) personal interest in this contract termination, an act that ignores (the well being) of the group and the Company.

On the 10th, S.M. Entertainment said: “Today, through the legal representative, we have received Luhan’s claim. Luhan has previously mentioned that due to his body condition, as well as in comparison to EXO’s activities, (he) would like to place more focus on his activities in China. (We are) currently in the midst of discussing (his) future activity plan. We feel troubled when we suddenly received (his) indictment to terminate the contract.

S.M. added: “Similar to Kris’s contract termination previously, we think that to file an indictment without any reason, upon gaining popularity from the group’s activities, and through the same legal representative, using the same modus operandi, and doing it in a organized manner, is an act that ignores the well being of the group’s activities, as well as the well being of the stakeholders of the Company. This is an act that prioritized (his) personal interest."

With regards to the contract termination of the two members, one after another within a period of 6 months, S.M. said: “From the look of it, there is a driving force from behind the scene. In view of this situation, the Company will work hand-in-hand with our overseas partners and legal experts in China, vigorously and calmly respond to the said situation in a complete manner. Nevertheless, EXO’s activities will be carried out as per scheduled.â€

SM, just admit you mistreated him and overworked him with Exo's group activities rather than coming up with this BS statement.

And the fact that he wants to evolve as an artist and wants to take care of his health considering the conditions he was in isn't selfish at all.

I hope netizens won't get brainwashed by SM.

i'm not one to take sides here, but what a dumb statement

of course his filing a lawsuit is for his own personal interest, who else would he do it for? starving children in africa?

it's a job, he wants out of it, the end. nothing evil or selfish about that.

yes sm, because there is something so shockingly wrong with prioritising health and wellbeing over work. god forbid the boy from leaving to spend time with his own family and stay in his home country.

You yourself said it. It is a job, he is a contract worker. And he wants to terminate the contract, the company makes a statement. What's so dumb about this?

SM reminds me of Stardom (AKA Stardumb), only they have more money and media influence. They're also doing the same tactic of honing in one particular reason for the lawsuit and twisting it around, right down to the "there's another person/group pushing him!!11" theory.

SM doesn't have to add "driving force behind", where is the receipt???

I wouldnt be surprised if there's a third party though

am i the only one who thinks so?

Nah, I don't know why most people here think it's such a conspiracy as well. You would be dumb to go against one of the top Korean entertainment company without a solid backing from a third party at the very least.

People gonna hate me but I can also understand where sm is coming from..lets just wait a minute before we jumpon the neg train..the MAIN reason saidfor Luhan wanting to leave is to go home to his parents and spend the time he missed with them taking that into factor the korean members who also live in korea can't go to see their families just like that either (example would be bts who some have said they've been so busy they haven't seen their parents since they began their trainee life) also on top of SM actually in discussion with arranging his schedule to suit him he filed the lawsuit.. so you must say it seems a bit unreasonable if you look at it i.e a person quitting their job cause they miss their parents without giving any notice (umm do you really think SM didn't know?) well from Luhan's camp he hasn't. Indicated he told them prior to filing it he told them etc but yes I can see it from their point of view but! It was also said sm mostly ignored his acrophobia and even tho he had no schedules and he sspoke to them of visiting his parents sm refused this as well..so SM I see your point but some of what. You're saying isn't matching back with the Luhan statements...u basically ignore your employee's reasonable requests sm..
