This reminds me of Hangeng so much, they took away his passport so they could monitor his movements and he couldn't go anywhere or do anything without permission. Hangeng also found it hard to not see his family, and he felt trapped and alone in Seoul, which made him depressed and suicidal. I look at how happy he is now and I'm honestly thankful his left. Idols spend most of their time working and striving for material success that they don't have time to see family members for more than months on end. Reminds of parents (I think it was Jiyeon's and Suzy's?)having to come to fanmeets just to catch a glimpse of their child. Its such a heartbreaking thought to know you don't even have time for loved ones. They start out so young and their parents miss the opportunity to see their child grow up and to comfort them through hardships and struggles. Obviously before he wanted to be an idol he had an idealistic view in that his parents will forever be with him, they'll always be there for him to go back to. But when he actually went back after such a long time he realised that just like everyone else, even parents die. I recently had a dream where my dad died, me and my dad were never close, we wouldn't even exchange more than two words a day. But the dream just came as a shock, it reminded me that he isn't immortal, he won't be there waiting for me to finally decide to talk to him. with Luhan, I believe he thought he'll have forever to decide to go back to them.
