Eternally A Xingmi 10,098
BREAKING: SINA REVEALS LUHAN’S 4 REASONS FOR FILING LAWSUIT AGAINST SM ENTERTAINMENT After an initial report about EXO-M’s Luhan filing a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, Sina has followed up with a report revealing the reasons Luhan has filed termination for his contract with SM Entertainment. Earlier today, we broke news that EXO-M’s Luhan would be filing for a contract termination lawsuit against SM Entertainment. Since then, it was revealed Luhan would be using the same lawyer as Hangeng and Kris, who also filed lawsuit against SM Entertainment. More updates quickly came in, with SM Entertainment’s stock plummeting with the news, and fellow member Lay left a heartfelt message for Luhan on his Weibo. Sina has now revealed a report with 4 reasons as to why Luhan has filed termination against his agency, SM Entertainment. The reasons are as follows: While the specific details in Luhan’s case are unique, in general, the lawsuit and reasons are very similar to Hangeng and fellow EXO-M member, Kris (Wu Yifan). 1. SM Entertainment is not able to give good future development plans for Luhan. 2. There is a discrimination in terms of treatment between Korean and Chinese members 3. The allocations of resources are not reasonable. 4. Experiencing health issues due to over-exhaustion in both body and in stress. Luhan has been long reported to not be feeling well due to fatigue, having symptoms of waking up in the middle of the night, an uncomfortable feeling in his chest and persistent headaches. While previously filming for movie, and also performing at EXO’s concerts, Luhan had to work through many nights and was flying back and forth constantly. Luhan left a personal apology on October 11th to his fans, through his Weibo for not attending EXO’s concert in Thailand. While pushing himself endlessly, he was able to attend the last 2 nights of EXO’s finale stop in Beijing. According to reports, SM Entertainment coordinates schedules for artists without consulting with them for their opinion, or considering their personal situations. Instead, the company notifies the artists after the schedules have been placed. When Luhan requested for a leave, the company would reject the request and respond that activities have already been set and that he must follow the schedule. Luhan also reportedly expressed concern that while the group has gained popularity throughout the years since their debut, there is no solid plan laid for their progress and growth. The artist is reported to have revealed, “It is a working environment where it feels like [we are] robots in a factory.†While Luhan has received requests for acting and advertising opportunities, none of them lead to successful negotiations. Between 2012 - 2013, EXO-K had over 5 endorsement projects, but EXO-M did not nearly have the same. Stay tuned for more developments from this story. WensteR 1,004
What a basic nullification reason, like seriously... The contradiction is real, Kris out from SM because SM rejected all movie offer, meanwhile Lu's out because he was overworked because his schedule (after movie's offer)... So what kind of fair treatment they should get??? I think this reason is just to keep Luhan's image clean, and gain more public sympathics from it and sure it will make his nullification goes well... But like Lay's said, hope him for the best... Lu-ge annyeong...

Quiddie 42
Chinese worse than Korean, which is what Hangeng and Yifan both said too. *shrug* I don't think he was that fussed over it until he got sick and SM wouldn't let him rest. He's working with the same lawyer Yifan and Hangeng did so of course they are going to spout out the same reasons. Why? Because they work.
PikaPikachu 5,572
Oh. I wonder how Luhan fans are going to spin this considering they were the most vocal fans bashing Kris. Anyways I'm not surprised SM has always favored Korean members over Chinese members and it must be tough for foreign idols to deal with discrimination but at work from SM and from wider Korean society. Anti-Chinese sentiment is very strong in Korea and this also why I get annoyed when k-pop fans get mad at the anti-Korean sentiment in Japan and China against Korean celebrities. Korea has no qualms moving into China/Japan to make money, but a lot of people get angry because those same opportunities afforded to Korean celebrities are denied to Chinese/ Japanese ones and they're not treated as well. The governments talk about a cultural exchange, but an exchange is meant to go both ways, and right now Korea isn't playing along. While Korean culture is openly promoted in China/ Japan, its still illegal to use Japanese words on broadcast in Korea. Its very one-sided and Korea is the one profiting off it. tamar braxton 151
I'm not surprised that sm treats Korean members way better than the Chinese members I hope Chinese people will stop going to south Korea.. A country that hates them and openly discriminates against them Tbh I think most Chinese people aren't aware of how much koreans hate them, they actually think koreans are friendly (that is, before they actually enteract with any korean)

Crixus 275
First: Two: Is anyone surprised that the Korean members are taken care of better? Three: I am patiently awaiting the destruction of SM after years of dastardly deeds and heinous mistreatment of those who make them money. Karma. TMI 3,512
I don't know if I believe everything coming from Sina after their shadiness in kris' case (deleting articles, doctor friends, Kris' lawyers denying certain reports from Sina, etc.), but if it is true, then SM is at fault. I believe the sick part, he obviously can't keep up with idol life, but I have to hear SM's side for the others. I still support Luhan though. He didn't hurt the members.
