Ugh I need to vent. SPOILERS btw (as of ep 8)

I find Kim Tan so annoyingly bossy. I mean can he seriously not leave Eun-sang alone? Ok you like her, Eun-sang gets it, Rachel gets it, Young-do gets it. We all bloody get it so seriously give her some space. Liking someone does not mean stalking them 24 motherfucking 7. And ugh can you please let her sit wherever she motherfucking wants to in the cafeteria. Damn Eun-sang's wrists must be aching from all the damn yanking it's received; Tan, Young-do and Chan-young, y'all need to realise that it is rude to be dragging someone by their wrist.

Young-do's so fucking rude, he'd better some super duper extremely sad backstory to make up for all the bullshit that he's been creating.

Chan-young's probably my 2nd fav male character so far after Hyo-shin. He's ok.

I really like Bo-na, she's actually a well written character and she's a good comic relief to the show so I'm happy when she's on-screen. I think she's gonna be one of Eun-sang's friends soon since she felt sorry for Eun-sang at the end of episode 8 and she was hoping for Tan or Chan-young to "save" her but Idc if she is because she's funny nonetheless.

I like Rachel too even though her character's a bitch. Hyo-shin (fav male character) is cute and he needs more screen time. As for Myung-soo, I don't dislike him, but Idk why he's on the show other than to just be an annoying (but cute) friend.

And Kim Won is rude and boring. He needs to get over himself and stop being a bitch to his brother.

EDIT: Oh and Hyun-joo (tutor lady) is really hot imo like she's my ideal type. I hope she gets with Hyo-shin because I don't want to see Won happy.

Oh and I hope Yoon-young (the boy that was bullied and transferred) is seen again all rich and happy or something.

That is all.

i still find Kim Tan's brother and his GF  scenes extremely boring to watch, he's a possessive freak and she's... I don't know how to describe her.  :derp:

I think he's the most interesting character tbh even though he's most likely going to be a very cliche one (bullies everyone  until the arrival of Eun Sang - BOF storyline).  I think there's more to his character as well as Rachael about why they act the way they do.  Besides the whole one parent thing at least I hope so and that we get to see it.

I cringe whenever I hear it.  They could have used a Korean song which they understood the meaning of instead of an English song because well.. it's English and that's apparently cool and classy cause Kim Tan studied in America.

oh you're here mysti!!! :ahmagah:

Finally had the time to visit this thread...

I'm liking Choi Young Do more though and I do get the BOF feel but the difference is that he nails the role... sorry I hated BOF and which is why I love HYD so much because Jun Matsumoto nailed the Domyoji role imo. I honestly haven't seen anything Kim Woo Bin was on until this drama and never understood the hype around him (bec he isn't exactly good-looking) but after watching him act... I get it now.

btw... I agree with Kim Tan's bro... I skip his parts usually... such a boring character. I'm actually looking forward to Chan Young's dad & Rachael's mom's affair... :derp:

and they do need to change the ost...

loving Hyungsik more and more too... he's just so cute! :chu:

I'm not a fan of Kim Woo Bin and don't really like his look either, but I like him casually because his acting is good and natural, based from what I've seen on 3 of his dramas. I hope he wins a rookie actor award since he deserves it imo.

I also think Eun Sang - Tan moments are pretty dull, they're a good looking couple but I don't really feel the chemistry between them lol I'm still looking forward to what will happen to them tho.

And about the chaebol parents problems, I'm really not interested in them especially the affair of Rachel's mom - Chan Young's dad. Idk the affair just gets on my nerve.

The cliches and the turn of events are giving me a headache already.

I really feel bad for Rachel but come on! seeing your fiancee hanging out with some girl 24 hours is def gonna make her mad... I would totally love it if she just admits that she is really really hurt and like cry and one of the male characters comforts her and they fall in love, and I hope tan will feel guilty, I really do. because it doesn't make sense if she ends up alone.... oh and i like her with that dude who bullies i hope their parents don't marry each other I mean that is the what i think is going to happen...

The drama is pretty basic so you can guess the ending. im pretty sure we are not going to be shocked by it -_-

Oh and by the way... what happened to Eun sang father? did they ever mention him?

most like his father will appear later and he is rich so she will become the heirs of something but I dot think they have mentioned him yet

Already 4 episodes to catch on but judging the replies not sure if its worth it. And lack of Rachel mentions is discouraging. Not here for miss tears.

Rachel gets enough screen time imo for the amount of characters she gets a good amount

i know i sound stupid but the entire heirs thingy i don't get it because every time they like make a meeting and talk about these things i skip them all because it's pretty boring can you please explain to me how they all know each other and what is it they want? especially out of tan..do they want him to become the person in charge after his dad or something? and what exactly happened with Rachel parents? they still love each other obviously....

screentime is so imbalanced, 2 people getting 50% and 20 people getting the rest.  :derp:

well tan and eun sang are the main so its expected they would get the most screen time, the only thing I hope is that all of their interactions aren't as dull and boring

idk honestly I tend to skip scenes with tan and his family sometimes, but form what I know the dad I think wants both kids to do something and Rachel dad I honestly don't know

Tan and gang have known each other since they were lil. Because their families are rich, they all run in the same circles and of course go to the same school. They will all take over their parents businesses but it seems that some don't but they will do it because its expected of them. From what I gather, Tan will most likely end up taking his brother's place, this is why he is engaged to Rachel. It's a merger marriage. Although Rachel does like Tan more than he likes her. So far I don't think they've mentioned Rachel's father or what happened to him but it seems to me that Chayoung's father was her mother's first love and they couldn't be together do to status.

From what I gather from Tan's dad, I think him being sick has made him prioritize his life and try to correct the wrongs he's done to his children but he's going about it the wrong way. In ep 8, when he calls himself checking Tan for the fight in school , Tan tells him, it too late to care since he didn't care about what he did in the states and he was hanging with drug dealers and whatnot.

I'm confused about what role Kim won plays cause even though his father wants him and Tan to takeover the business he doesn't really act like it. I mean his oldest son had his brother exiled to the states and his wife won't divorce him but stays in the house with him and moved his mistress in and took guardship over her son.

I love Bo Na. She's so carefree and chic and despite her being so bratty, she gets along well with most of the boys. Surprisingly she chose Chan Yong as her boyfriend, which is actually a major "step down" from dating Kim Tan. But this is what makes her so different because she knows how to find true happiness. The other rich kids just run in their own circle but in fact, money can't move them anymore like what Rachael said.

The main cuple is boring for me. Tan needs to stop following Eun Sang 24/7 and she needs to stop crying... there's soething about them that just don't fit imo.

Kim won is an ass... i dont like his characther, and imo her girlfriend is more boring (but hey, she barely appears so im not sure).

Kim woo bin (whatever his name is in the drama) is the typical bully.... im not impressed anymore (hey at least school 2013 bullying has more impact?)

Rachel is my fave by far... Girl has reason to be mad, Kim Tan is seriously messing with her. of course she has the right to be annoyed. Eun Sang is so candy like (and i dislike that type of characters) so hell girl u know Tan has a gf tell him to stop playing with u.

chayoung and Bona moments are cute and funny and is a relief / something fresh for all the dramatic vibe of this kversion of gossip girl. btw i don't see anything similar lol.

i hope they twist the end and we get unexpected pairings.... or at least work better in the current relationships.

what if Tan finally recognize he can be with a poor girl and decides to leave her. or rachel gets tired of tan asshole attitude towards her and starts with another male. her brother needs to stop the bullying and actually i think he has more guts to end with a poor girl than Tan lol...

tl;dr drama so far is ok for me i expect better storyline in next chaps and please some twist would be cool

The love line between Kim Tan and Eun Sang is so boring, even the romance between Esther Lee and Wonyoung is way more interesting... also the love line between Kim Won and Hyunjoo seems so out of place. I'm honestly watching this drama just because of Woo Bin

That's how I feel too. I thought she was going to be streotypically interfering and annoying but she's not unreasonably antagonistic, more like A-list girl attitude. Minhyuk's character isn't treated like shit, she actually cares about him.

Even though Rachel and Woobin's character are both equally as interfering, I guess they also have reasons behind being who they are. You have to be a little aggressive to be top tier. They have their own family issues too.

I'm glad there aren't any Hong SeNa characters in this drama or I'd drop it in a heartbeat

Right?! In a school where hierarchies are everything it says a lot about her character that she looked passed all that and dated someone who the whole school basically views as inferior. And plus she didn't say anything about Eun Sang being poor, even though she doesn't like her all that much. I mean granted she did it cause of her bf, but still total brownie points for that. She's definitely one of my favorite characters at the moment.

I only watched the Taiwanese and Korean version of BOF  and I like the Taiwanese (meteor garden) one better but it could be because I saw it first...

I rather she just stay strong because this show needs a balance between the girls, we don't need all of them crying and whining all the time.  Eun sang's father died and left them with a huge amount of debut, one of the reasons why she and her mum are so dirt poor (even though she has the S4 or is it the Note 2/3?)

Wait when did she find out? Was it when they were all in LA? But man if she really does know and hasn't said anything till now, then mad props to her.

I just assumed she knows because of all those things that "fell" out of her luggage, her address, her clothing, unless she still doesn't know  :derp:

oh right! That would be a giveaway for sure. The writer should of been more clear, tho maybe it'll be a central conflict in one of the next few episodes
