I'll only watch this because of Park Shin Hye, I don't really like Lee Min Ho. :/ seems like my feelings for the lead couple will be very mixed lol.

I hope the story will be fun and witty, since it's the writer also wrote Secret Garden, which was quite a good drama.

Never liked Lee Minho during the whole BOF craze and didn't pay any attention to him after that either.

But I recently watched Faith and damn, he was good, and actually won me over so I'm actually excited about this one. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a teenage drama cuz after Faith I feel like he should be over all that...

It's going to be a high school themed drama like BOP and Gossip Girl unfortunately

Previously, Krystal of f(x) was being considered for a role in the anticipated SBS drama starring Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye. Although Krystal had been offered the role multiple times since the news broke in May, to fully focus on f(x) activities, she turned down all the offers. But she has now decided to take on the drama. Krystal will be starring in the Gossip Girl-esque drama about the tribulations of a high school populated by the extremely rich.

This will be Krystal's first dramatic role, after previously acting in the 2010 sitcom More Charming By The Day and the wildy successful 2011 sitcom High Kick 3. Krystal was specifically sought after by the PD, Kang Shin Hyo. Her character is said to have a strong and youthful personality, and as per the drama title her character will be the daughter of a chaebol family

Heirs also will star Choi Jin Hyuk and Kim Woo Bin, who just came off the very successful School 2013. It will be written by the writer of A Gentleman Dignity and Secret Garden. Heirs is currently scheduled to begin airing on October 9th.

I saw a character chart in a blog that the blog mistress found circulating around DC and Baidu and she translated it. I also saw it posted on soompi as well.

ghsn.jpg

Kim Tan(Lee Min Ho) - Age: 18 - Heir of Empire Group, born from mistress who lives with him and his father. His father, who is CEO, is legally separated from his wife. Kim Won is older half brother. Him and Cha Eun Sang like each other.

Cha Eun Sang(Park Shin Hye) - 18 - Mother is housekeeper for Kim family. She considers herself heir of poor. She has an older sister and grew up with Yoon Chan Young.

Yoon Chan Young(Kim Woo Bin) - 18 - Father is secretary of Empire Group. Dating Lee Bo Na, his father and Rachel Ryu's mother were lovers.

Kim Won(Choi Jin Hyuk) - 31 yeas old - President of Empire Group, older half brother od KIm Tan and his mother is dead. Dating Jeon Hyun Joo, a teacher at Empire High School.

There are two roles that Krystal might get:

Rachel Ryu(Krystal or someone else) - 18 - Heiress to major hotel group, engaged to Kim Tan, and has a one sided crush on him. Her mother is president of the hotel group and remarries chairman of resort conglomerate. She has an older step brother from this marriage, Choi Young Do.

Lee Bo Na(Krystal or someone else) - 18 - Kim Tan's ex-grilfriend, dating Yoon Chan Young. Heiress to banking conglomerate.

this isn't an official character chart so it may or may not be true. Just thought it was interesting since speculation is fun  :hurr:  :hurr:

Full Character Chart for Heirs Reveals Plot Set Up

This does sorta look like a cross between Gossip Girl and Boys Before Flowers.

1. Kim Tan (18 years old) – played by 'Lee Min Ho' – the
heir of Empire Group. His mother is the mistress of the
Chairman of the Empire Group. The Chairman lives
with Kim Tan’s mother and is separated from his
legally married wife. Kim Tan has an older half-
brother Kim Won. He and Cha Eun Sang like each other.

2. Cha Eun Sang (18 years old) – played by 'Park Shin
Hye' – grew up with Yoon Chan Young, she considers
herself the heir of the poor. Her mother is the
housekeeper for the Kim family that owns the vast
Empire Group. Eun Seong has an older sister. She and
Kim Tan like each other.

3. Yoon Chan Young (18 years old) – played by 'Kim
Woo Bin' – his father is the Secretary for the Empire
Group. He is currently dating Lee Bo Na (see 6 below).
His father and Rachel Ryu’s mother were former
lovers.

4. Rachel Ryu (18 years old) – played by 'Krystal or
another young actress' – the heir of a major hotel
group, engaged to Kim Tan and has a one-sided crush
on him. Her mother is the president of the hotel group,
and re-married the chairman of a resort
conglomerate, who already had a son Choi Young Do (7 below), who becomes Rachel’s unrelated-by-
blood older brother due to her mother’s re-
marriage.

5. Kim Won (31 years old) – played by 'Choi Jin Hyuk' –
the current President of Empire Group, older half-
brother of Kim Tan. Kim Won’s mother is dead. Kim
Won is dating Jeon Hyun Joo, a high school teacher at
Empire High School.

6. Lee Bo Na (18 years old) – played by Krystal or
another young actress – former girlfriend of Kim Tan,
currently dating Yoon Chan Young. She is the heir to a
banking conglomerate.

7. Choi Young Do (18 years old) – not yet cast – older
brother to Rachel Ryu, heir to a resort conglomerate.

8. Lee Hyo Shin (18 years old) – not yet cast – rich boy
classmate who has a one-sided crush on high school
teacher Jeon Hyun Joo, who is dating Kim Tan’s
older half-brother Kim Won.

This whole rich and poor concept is really overused. I'm just supporting this for Krystal. I actually don't like her to be a third party in here, she already getting lots of hate so I hope it will give justice on her part.

we still do not know whether she will take a role as rachel ryu or lee bo na, so there is still a hope she would play as lee bo na and will not get hate by viewer.

Kang Ha Neul will be joining one of the most anticipated dramas of the year.

On July 12, many officials told enews that "Kang Ha Neul has joined the upcoming SBS drama The One Trying to Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight - The Heirs, which is set to start up in October."

38244819.jpg

The actor will take up the role of Lee Hyo Shin, the smart and good-looking son of the Public Prosecutor General. He will act in one of the main roles of the drama, along with Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin and ZE:A′s Park Hyung Sik.

Kang Ha Neul was previously a musical actor, and stepped into the small screen through the drama To the Beautiful You in 2012. Recently he′s been appearing in the tvN drama Monstar.

An official commented, "Kang Ha Neul had an advantage because he is a rare actor for someone his age, with his acting skills and looks. We expect him to become the biggest rookie of the last half of 2013, thanks to his being cast in The Heirs after Monstar."

Kang Ha Neul will join shoots for The Heirs  in August.

ZE:A's Hyungsik is definitely in hot demand these days as he has been offered a role on SBS drama 'Heirs'!

A broadcast rep commented, "Hyungsik is already well known for his well-to-do image growing up under a father who works for a famous foreign car company, so we believe that he fits the character's image well."

But it's too soon to celebrate as of now as Hyungsik's agency reps have revealed that although he has received the casting offer, he has not yet been confirmed.

If the idol does end up picking up this role, it seems he will most likely turn down the offer from the other drama 'The Sun of My Master'.
