Songs that are now repulsive due to memories?

So I used to think that it was the best idea ever to set my alarm clock to my favorite song... That was Something by Girls' Day. A few days later, I hated it and I swear I will never listen to it again. Now all it evokes is waking up at 4:30 AM for swim practice when it's all dark and freezing outside :unimpressed:

Also, last year I did Speech and Debate and for this one tournament I stayed up until 3 AM working this speech... While I was working under unbearable stress, I decided to cheer myself up with SNSD's newly released My Oh My, my favorite song at the time... it's not really my favorite song anymore... I can feel a part of me wanting to cry when I listen to it.

After this, I've learned a good lesson. For example, I was reading a murder story for school and to concentrate I listened to T-ara's Day and Night on infinite loop... It's not that bad of a song but bad enough that I can trash it with memories of immersing myself into a story about a whole family being slaughtered

I have to skip the song every time Ladies' Code's Kiss Kiss plays  :._.:

And I used to have Queen's Killer Queen as my alarm... well... it got me up quickly but I ended up hating it with a passion after about a year. But not I can listen to it again.

Yes at the alarm clock one. I dislike my alarm clock tune (not the tune itself, but the fact that I associate it with waking up so early) and just listening to it at any other time of the day makes me a little moody.

But to answer your question, it pretty much happens with every song. Whenever there's a new release, I listen so many times to it for like two weeks. Then I don't want to hear it anymore the rest of the year.

my alarm used to be The Chaser by Infinite cause it's such a good alert song but it surprisingly didn't make me hate it, I still love it. I miss it actually... (it was on my old phone so now my alarm is just a generic tone)

besides that, I have ended up not being able to listen to songs I once liked for more personal reasons like associating them with an ex or old friend. as much as I love their music I find it awkward to listen to my ex's band, and I dislike hearing some kpop songs because ex-friends liked them a lot so they remind me of them

I know this is not repulsive but oh well.

I refuse and can't bear to listen to Michael Jackson's Gone too Soon which is ironic because that's the reason I don't listen to it (his untimely death). Everytime i comes up i skip it.

I had sex with someone I don't like now on ' Bleeding love' by Leona Lewis (No it wasn't on purpose it just came out, who the fuck would choose that to have sex to omfg).

Now it's repulsive to me. :omgwtf:

I laughed really hard at this.

Foster the People's 'I would do anything for you' it just makes me sad now lol

I can't stand to even hear Hands Up by 2pm start up. This is because I used to date this one asian guy who was really full of himself in the most obnoxious way possible and he'd do his hair in this certain way and would always be flipping his hair every damn second. I remember I got in the car with him once and he had Hands Up on repeat. I got to hear that song over and over while he drove a million miles over the speed limit, texted, and got to hear his douchey party stories. Worst 30 minute car drive ever...

So a while back when this song was on the radio, I was watching my sister's soccer game and listening to this song at one point. Then I heard screams, and apparently two girls were going for a header and one's head accidentally hit the other girl's nose. That girl's nose broke and there was like blood on the ground and an ambulance came. It was a very tragic highlight of the game, and this song was playing at the same time. So, literally every time I listened to this song after the incident all I could remember was the scream of the girl and the broken nose. It's kind of ironic too, haha.

Also, every time I listen to Bleeding Out, I get reminded of the dreadful period of time that comes every month.

Its one of their better songs, but the week it came out, i was in and out of the hospital for days due to back problems, and I felt miserable. Now I can't listen to it without that misery and memories of the cold weather coming back
