Is Zero Escape Virtue's Last Reward very gory? I "played' 999 on iPhone, it wasn't too bad. I love the character and the story, but gore scares me.

It was actually on of my favorite endings, was a real heart breaker. 

 

I've seen some scenes from ZTD and, idk, chainsaws, hearts being ripped out    999 wasn't that bad...But the story is so captivating     

In 999 it had a lot of gore in it already though

9th man guts being exploded everywhere, captain quarter's the dead man on the floor with a pile of blood and Clover cutting an arm of in the axe ending...... Those were pretty horrifying scenes

 If you can handle the heart ripping out than it should be aright... In terms of gore I give ZTD the most of it all but the story is really the best thing about the entire trilogy.  There isn't much. just there and than. While VLR there is about nill thing gory in comparison to 999.

 

VLR is going on steam soon if you can wait for it or best vita and DS has it

How soon? Any idea? I was interested in getting both on 3ds, but I just saw ZTD 3ds version graphics and they're pretty bad compared to PC.

 

 

 

 

Damn, this is such an amazing year for 3ds. Fire Emblem Fates, Style Savvy FF for NA, Ace Attorney 6, SMT IV: A, Yo-kai Watch 2, new Pokemon game, plus Disney Magical World 2... My poor wallet  And here I was hoping of buying PS4 this year or something lol

Well it may actually take a while since they have to do 999 first, with the voice acting and the amount of dialogue/words in the game is a tonne.Plus the HD artwork..... VLR is a much longer game (average of 35+ hours all routes and endings) + HD graphics.. I'll say it may even take up to Q2 of 2017 if not longer/

 

EDIT: Oh and don't jump from 999 to ZTD and than play VLR as it is essential  to have played it all in order since it would all make sense.

I'm not sure if japanese developers ever announce that their games have gone gold like western devs do. I don't think that's a thing for them. But like, if it was really only one month away, they should have gone gold already. Just a rumor tho.

That's just been confirmed. Is going to be out November 29th instead. I'm really glad the developers are doing this just to polish up the game a bit more before releasing it to the public.

So I tried out Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate since its free on Xbox1 this month, though just to let you know today is the last day to get it free.

 

Its been a number of years since I've played any Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games. I'll say this, its fun but not something you want to play for long periods of time. Because if your not into repetitive hack and slash gameplay and a bit of grinding its not for you. And graphically, its not that great, but considering that its a port of a 2011 game, I let it slide.

 

Right now I'm just trying to get through to game so I can play the DOA characters.

Man Microsoft is giving you the good stuff. I would have love if Sony did that. :(

I'm waiting so long for the orochi 4 :(

 

Though my dad did get Attack on titan the game in Chinese so I might just try that out as I wait for koei to do so

And I think tomorrow Beyond Good and Evil is gonna be free for Xbox360 which is backwards compatible with Xbox1. I just wish PSN gave out some better titles, but lately not so much. That, and I'm not too keen on the fact that once your subscription is over you can't play the free games you downloaded.

Beyond good and evil should be a great game as well, adding to that pile of great games. 

 

Well there are a few reasons to keep your membership so I dont see why you would remove it. Sony did have some good Vita games (I picked up a bunch including freedoom wars, grand fandango  and the unfinished swan) PS4 not so much though :( besides that it allows you to go online which is also a good thing if you like playing online

 

To this day I wish Sony would do backwards compatibility       so i can play the last guardian and my copy of Kingdom hearts 1.5HD

tales from the borderlands is such a great game, completed it last week and was stunned by the amazing story and the ost, the ost is just mind blowing  and

The tales games really never gets old. Planning on getting the batman one soon, not much of a fan of games of thrones so I'm skipping that.

The problem with FFXV and Square in general is that Square is stupid and likes to announce things way too early. The FF13 team was supposed to move on and work on FF Versus 13 (XV) after they were done. And they were supposed to move onto KH3 after that. Everything became a mess and projects stalled and were put on hold when they were forced to make unnecessary 13 sequels to make up for all the money they loss because of 13 (and maybe 14 also).

 

This is why FFXV and KH3 seems like they are taking forever. It's their fault for announcing it before the previous games were even finished. FFXV and KH3 both literally had only cg trailers for a long time. It gave people hope of the game coming out soon when they were not even games yet, they were just trailers. Nomura was in charge of both of these games before Tabata took charge of FFXV. No idea why they thought it was a good idea to announce KH3 before Nomura was even done with FFXV.

 

Nomura is also the director of the FF7 Remake. So Square is making the same mistake by announcing FF7 before KH3 is even close to being finished. Both of them being directed by the same guy slowing down production of both games again just like before. They've switched over to using the Unreal Engine though which supposedly makes game development easier and faster but it's still Square making the same mistake all over again with FF7 Remake.

 

I'm sorry my response wasn't meant to be that long lol. But as a long time fan of Square games, they are so frustrating now.

To add a bit of new news, the $270 bundle for FFXV will not include the season pass. They're just the best

Square been known to do such f**Ed up marketing for a very long time. I'm still dying for the supposed Kingdom hearts 3 which had been announced like 3 years ago. I doubt we'll get to see it any time soon which is crushing me

Persona is gonna come out before both of them lol. Well in japan anyway. That doesn't bother me though because we know FFXV has only been worked on for ~4 years and KH3 even less than that. 

 

Atlus made the same mistake that Square did too though. They should have never announced the game for winter 2014 like they originally did. 

 

E3 is full of games announced too early and it has gotten really annoying 

Isn't E3 known to hype up massive announcement before crushing all us gamers hearts?

I'm still salty GGXrd Rev didn't get a dub and yes I know GG usually don't but Xrd was sooo good with it and now Blazblue which always had a dub not getting it is sad especially since it has such an extensive VN type story

 

Anyway SFV is on sale, I know I said I wouldn't get it due to lack of single player but they're FINALLY putting a CPU VS mode in September so now I'm tempted

The game is pretty much the same apart from the new augs that you can use and set 2 years after Human revolution.  If you get it on Xbox one it runs 900p, 1080 on PS4 but both runs locked at 30fps. While PC doesn't have a fps. Though I have notice some fps frop when I played on the PS4

 

The game play so far is excellent with multiple ways to complete objectives for example guns blazing or just stealth or just hacking and even more ways, while the story not so much but if you love the first than I'd highly recommenced it to you.

I honestly wished more games tackled Time travel as head on as Steins gate. Telling you the complexes and the theories and just the dangers of it. Really into the world of Steins gate  (still playing it, on chapter 6; making me question mankind as a whole) and cant wait for Steins gate 0 comes out.

There's a game? I only watched the anime.

Game as in the visual novel, the anime (from what I heard and read) covers 90% of the Visual novel; it's only an adaptation. So I'd tend to just play through them  Instead of actually watching it.

 

 

 

Sequel is coming out in late September.for PS4 and vita. And the first game is going onto steam soon.

Oh, so it was originally a visual novel? I'd be interested in playing the game since it's been a while since I watched the thine.

If so than defo get it. The thing with this is. Is just pure reading. Just little to no game play. If you are aright with it. I'd highly recommended it to you.

Yeah I finished Stein Gates recently too on Vita and the way the different endings play out blew my mind more then once, ngl I did skip most of the middle stuff though, it's just SO much reading and although humorous, I just really don't care about the sciency stuff lol

on the other hand for me at least. I love the science. Honestly the science stuff keeps me on my feet. I love how they implemented it into the game. I'm reading it all. Even the glossary terms are so interesting. Though some of it is just very very haliours. But some parts just gets me. Especially in later chapter .

The despair and death flag that I witness is just omg also got to an ending today and the led up killed my emotions Suzuha+ Daru = WHAT ON EARTH With such amazing things happening and than bombshell. My poor heart.

Yes. All in Japanese dub and is so good

And Mayuri says that a lot XD. I love the voice cast. Plus Faris says Nya. So so so cute XD.

How much darker? The darkest game I probably ever played was Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. Not a huge fan of dark games, but great story and characters can get me through. I'll check DJ Max Technika out, I mean the reason I want PS Vita is for playing Miku games on the go XD

 

Is Vita exclusive library good enough to buy the system? It seems like a lot of games you can play on PC.

That depends on what you are looking for. There's still a good line up of exclusive. Jrpg mostly. But if you ain't a fan of it. Then I wouldn't bother. If you have a ps4 and PC than there's really no point since most vita are on one or the other.

 

As for danganronpa. Id highly reccomend it. If you love zero escape and ace attorney You'll love danganronpa

Highly recommenced you get Persona 4 golden if you haven't played the original on the PS2. It's by far one of the best JRPG game there is on the system. along with Persona 3 which you can get for a cheap price on the PlayStation Store. Final fantasy x and x-2 collection if you are into it and haven't played it  there's also The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel if you haven't played it on ps3 than it would be worth trying it if you like, I haven't started playing it yet so I can't comment but from the looks of it, it seems to be a decent jrpg.

Those two games were the only reason I want PS Vita in the first place. I have Final Fantasy X and X-2 on like everything I own, wouldn't mind PS Vita version as well XD  

 

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel does look very interesting  Apparently you could build relationships and stuff? Sounds neat~

if you do enjoy the legend of heroes trails of cold steel. there's going to be a sequel coming out very soon   and the third game has got announced recently for Japan so in a years time it would hopefully be out in English 

 

If you want other recommendations for vita games just ask  Currently dying for Danganronpa 3 for the vita and ps4 which is going to take another 1 or 2 years for it to be published in English

I started Trails of Cold Steel over the weekend. About 10 hours in so far and i'm enjoying it. If you've played Trails in the Sky before just think a 3d version of that mixed with some Persona elements, namely the school and social link parts. So far i think Trails in the Sky is better though. I think that is playable on a Vita and would recommend that. Super biased though because i think Trails in the Sky FC/SC combine to make the best jrpg in a while. Though Cold Steel is on sale for 50% off right now.

 

Also, i watched Kingsglaive last night. I enjoyed it. Some problems here and there but it was fun enough. It actually got me kinda interested in the story because the FF12 fan in me likes the idea of a politically driven FF story.

Please tell me where you watched it. I want to watch that movie :(

 

Edit: and yep. Trails in the sky is playable. I believers it's a port to the PSP. Though heard in Japan that they have remade it for vita.
